Chapter 151: Ungrateful (Ch.151)

"Darren, come over for a moment. Would you recognize this?" Eloneth called to Darren who retrieved another pile of volumes from the shelf.

Darren headed over to Eloneth and peered down at the volume she had open before her, it was a large book with pages which were already worn out with age.

Yet most of the writings were still legible since the volume had been properly and carefully stored.

Again, Darren had to admit keeping the ancient records was the only thing the floral domain had done right in the past centuries.

The language written in the volume was strange and unfamiliar, but what caught Darren’s attention was the familiar drawing on the very first page of the volume.

"This..." Darren gasped, as he recalled the strange treasure Zariah had recovered from Lord Imain at the Sea Dome.

Though Darren had not been present at the battle of the Sea Dome, Nile had told them of all that had happened there and the treasure Zariah recovered was left in Allen’s custody till Zariah regained consciousness.

Darren had seen it just once and though the shape of the treasure drawn in the volume was different from the shape of the one Zariah had recovered, the appearance of the two treasures were perfectly alike.

The only difference was the shapes. Darren quickly flipped the book closed and read the title which was the only part of the volume written in the common tongue.

"The Shards Of Origin..." Darren murmured to himself, his brows furrowed.

"Do you recognize it?" Eloneth asked curiously.

"I have seen it...but I do not know what it is or what it means. And this volume, what language is this exactly?" Darren asked in bafflement.

"I am not certain, I have never seen this language before. Perhaps mother would know?" Eloneth suggested. 𝒇𝒓𝙚𝒆𝔀𝓮𝓫𝒏𝓸𝙫𝓮𝓵.𝓬𝙤𝙢

Darren considered it for a moment, before he shook his head. Allen and King Askel had both decided they would keep the treasure from those who did not know of it.

It was a treasure that was somehow connected to the forsaken, Nile also believed the same. Who knew just what power it held and why Lord Imain had entrusted it to Zariah?

Everyone was clear on just how great Queen Heveneth’s greed was, and she was not the only untrustworthy existence in the supernatural realm.

Till the Crimson wolves fully understood what that treasure was and what power it held, Darren knew it was best to keep it quiet.

"I will have Allen decide that first, for the time being, I do not wish to reveal this to the fairy queen." Darren decided.

Eloneth sighed quietly but nodded in understanding, Darren did not have to say it out for her to understand the Crimson wolves did not trust the fairies.

"I understand." Eloneth agreed.

Darren glanced down at the familiar drawing once again, his heart feeling uneasy... somehow he knew it, that the troubles were not over yet.

"Creator’s fur!" Allen hissed quietly as he paced across the guest room he occupied in the floral domain.

His usually calm expression was narrowed in displeasure and his hands were clenched into fists.

Rage churned within Allen’s heart, burning through his veins and his wolf threatened to seize control and it took every ounce of Allen’s willpower to restrain his wolf.

This was just how agitated Allen was and how could he not be? All Allen wanted to do was be by himself and think up a method to save Zariah.

He did not even have the luxury to be furious at this time, yet Allen could not help it.

It was rare for Allen to find himself in such a situation and the only thing that could push him to such a state was when someone... anyone, disregarded his Alpha or her will.

With Zariah unconscious, Allen was now the highest authority of Crimson Moon.

The only reason the Crimson wolves left the barrier in the first place and came out into this turbulent supernatural realm was to restore peace to the realm.

Zariah had already sacrificed so much for this goal and Allen would do anything to carry it on till Zariah awakened.

Yet this was the third time Queen Heveneth had refused Allen’s summon.

"Calm yourself Allen, we already expected this." Nile comforted.

"Indeed. Queen Heveneth would never make things easy for anyone. She has rejected every summon to meet with Prince Treyton and resolve the differences between the floral domain and the sea kingdom." Kristen grumbled in displeasure.

"That ungrateful bitch!" Allen snarled,

"And now Allen is throwing curses, the fairy queen has done it this time." Nile murmured in amusement.

"Does she truly believe I respectfully request her presence because I do not dare order for her to be dragged over?!" Allen growled furiously.

"She must believe she is at an advantage, we are all within her territory." Kristen replied.

"Queen Heveneth adamantly refuses to see Prince Treyton, she is too prideful to admit she was in the wrong. Now that her daughter has regained consciousness, she is right back to her true self." Nile agreed.

"We should have just left her for dead." Allen murmured to himself.

"What do you plan to do now? Will you let things be?" Kristen asked Allen.

Allen scoffed beneath his breath, Zariah intended for a peace treaty to be signed between the two domains who had nearly just destroyed the supernatural realm.

And Allen would ensure that treaty was signed, whether Queen Heveneth was willing to or not.

"The mere sight of her would trigger my wolf at this point." Allen murmured, sucking in a deep breath to calm himself.

Allen would fetch her himself, but did not wish to be in the same room with the fairy queen for even a moment.

"Have lord Kodin convey my words, I will personally oversee a vow of truce between the floral domain and the Sea kingdom in a fourth night, in the name of the Crimson Alpha." Allen ordered.

"Whoever defies my will should be prepared to forfeit their life." Allen clarified.
