Taming the Hybrid Mate: Desired by Five Alphas-Chapter 114: She needs an apology
Tristan’s POV
Luna Ashley was the last person I expected to meet at the Den of Coins, but there she was.
Aven had handed her over to his father, but I couldn’t help wondering why she was there, and why her husband wasn’t aware of her dealings in the casino.
My instincts told me that she was just trying to cover up for her husband; she wanted to bear the brunt alone for the sake of her children.
Although Alpha Aldric was known to be a stern and loyal supporter of the kingdom, his pack members loved him and spoke well of him. I didn’t quite trust him; it just felt like a facade to me.
I’ve met him in some shady places before while handling father’s business; amidst his good virtues, he was a greedy glutton.
He always wanted more coins, more wealth. His pack is, of course, the wealthiest pack, and he will stop at nothing to keep it that way.
"Stan," Damon called out to me. We were sitting on the couch watching some documentaries.
"You look lost. What’s on your mind? Speak up," he shrugged my shoulders.
The event took place last night. We were arraigned before the royal court, and our fathers were summoned due to the incident that occurred in the casino.
"Are you still bothered about last night?, Cheer up, man," he blurted. 𝗳𝗿𝐞𝕖𝘄𝗲𝕓𝗻𝚘𝚟𝕖𝐥.𝚌𝕠𝕞
"I’m good. It’s just crazy the amount of traitors might be hiding in that council chamber," I stated.
"They will eventually be found out," Aven cut in, walking into the living room.
That was unlike Aven; Aven usually walks into his room on days like this and locks himself inside.
"Yes, they will eventually be found out," Damon affirmed, nodding his head.
I could tell that he was also as surprised as I was about Aven’s presence.
"Are you good, man?" I asked, patting him on the shoulders.
"Better than ever," he responded, but I could sense anxiety in his tone.
We watched the documentaries in silence, each of us lost in our own thoughts.
My mind wandered from the crazy event at the casino two nights ago to the general council meeting last night, to Ari, and then to the election.
"You know the election is fast approaching," Aven broke the silence.
"Yes, it is indeed, and we have our duty to perform. It’s just so weird that Ari is contesting. If she eventually wins, the whole school already knowing that we are her mate, wouldn’t they think we were partial?" Damon spoke up.
"The vote counts will be displayed before then as they vote, so they won’t have to bother about a partial judge.
Our duty there is just to make sure the elections go well as the student election body and also to announce the results," I said, my eyes still fixed on the television.
"You even sound tense as you speak," Damon said.
"Ari sounded very displeased with us today, even after we got her out of detention. Maybe we should be a little bit considerate of her. She’s our mate, not some students that we bully," I burst out.
They looked at me with surprise expressions; they weren’t expecting such an outburst.
"She’s our mate, that makes it more interesting. I can smell her whenever I’m near her, and that makes me want to tease her more," Damon retorted with a smirk.
"Tristan, you sound off. You used to be the one who triggered things like this. What happened to you?" Aven asked, his face contorting into a grin.
"It’s just different with her, she is our mate for fuck’s sake," I replied to them, visibly getting upset.
"We know that, but what if that’s our own way of getting fond of her?" Damon replied as nonchalantly as ever.
"Maybe Tristan is making some sense; we might be chasing her away," Aven admitted.
The thought of chasing her away hurt like hell. I’m going to do something about the mess we created in maths class.
She needs an apology; I’ll give it to her.
"Yeah, whatever," Damon said, trying to sound nonchalant, but there was a trace of anxiety laced in his tone.
"I think it’s high time I went to bed, I’m exhausted already, and this documentary is doing a poor job at elevating my mood," I said, getting up and moving straight to my room.
Lucian was already stripped of her job as assistant headmistress, but her case was still at the kingdom’s tribunal.
And I was sure that they would find out something about Alpha Aldric.
I walked into my room and shut the door behind me.
Ever since the day Aria slept on my bed, I’ve always sensed her presence here.
Watching her sleep peacefully that night, a million things I could have done to her came to my mind, but I reined in my erection.
She was so attractive to look at, and her scent and her lying posture drew me in, but I dared not defy her; she must want it before I can make that move, although I would try to make her want it.
The thought of her gave me a hard-on. Trevor didn’t help matters; he, too, was very excited, even more excited than I was.
I pulled off my dress and hopped into the shower. When I was done with that, I slumped into bed, allowing the thoughts of her to take me to sleep.

"Your scent drives me crazy," I whispered to her, kissing her neck like it had always belonged to me.
"I want you always to know that you are mine, and that’s why I would leave a mark there," I said, biting down hard on her neck.
She let out a pleasing moan, and I could feel my hard-on press harder against her back curves.
"I’m yours, I want you to say that you are mine, say it like you mean it, because you know that you are mine," I nudged her, licking the spot where I had marked.
She let out another moan of pleasure, " I’m yours."
The words from her mouth were all I needed to drive me over the edge.
I patted her legs...
