Talent Awakening! Every Legendary Summon Grants Me Assassin Attributes-Chapter 50: Knight slayer! Even with my Bare hands I would
The air broke with a sharp whistling sound as the Void Knight closed in on Oliver, driving a powerful jab straight toward his face.
Oliver jerked his head aside, barely evading the punch that sliced through the air where his face had been a split second ago. Then he countered instantly, throwing a punch toward the face of the Void Knight.
It tilted its head with eerie precision, evading the attack completely, then drove its metallic knee brutally into Oliver’s gut.
"Gurrgh!" Oliver staggered, gritting his teeth as pain engulfed his entire being, spreading like wildfire through his nerves.
Yet the Void Knight was not done. It stepped forward, unleashing blow after blow in a rapid, merciless barrage aimed at Oliver’s face and gut.
Oliver sidestepped, avoiding a few, raising his hands to guard against several more. Each punch dug deep into his forearms, the impact so heavy he felt as though his bones were on the verge of shattering.
His head...
No—his arm—
No... it was his gut.
Each attack came faster than the last, more unpredictable, forcing Oliver entirely onto the defensive.
He was wrong...
Utterly wrong.
The Void Knight without a weapon was a force to be reckoned with. It was fast. Inhumanly fast, and each of its attacks carried weight, carried calculation, carried intent.
But Oliver refused to give up, ignoring the pain, ignoring his chest growing heavy as air was violently forced out of his lungs with every strike he endured.
At this rate, he was going to get beaten to death.
However, Oliver did not plan on dying.
Ding!
[Shadow Travel]
The Void Knight froze mid-attack as Oliver vanished from its sight, its hollow gaze flinching at the strange phenomenon.
Remaining still for a second no, several, It stood unmoving before turning around sharply, reacting to the sudden shift in presence.
Yet, it was too late to react.
Oliver emerged from the body of the Dark Crow, propelling himself forward with explosive force as he drove his foot into the face of the Void Knight in a deadly kick.
Crack!
A loud cracking sound filled the air as the body of the Void Knight staggered backward from the impact, part of its helmet caving inward under the force.
"Let’s see how you like it!" Oliver grunted, wiping the blood off his swollen, battered face.
The Void Knight remained unmoving for a brief moment, before a guttural, enraged roar escaped from within its helmet, echoing ominously.
The horrid knight moved again—quicker, more brutal—throwing a vicious jab at Oliver.
Whoosh!
Oliver was gone once more, disappearing before its gaze.
Still, the Void Knight was not foolish. It did not fall for the same trick twice. It lurched sharply to the left, an instinctive movement born not of luck, but of experience, evading Oliver’s incoming punch before it could land.
His fist cut through empty air.
The Void Knight backed off a few meters, lowering its stance, then slowly straightened, leaving its fighting posture for a brief second as though signaling a pause.
Oliver halted, watching carefully, unsure what to make of this sudden shift. Even if the demonic knight left openings, Oliver would think twice before stepping in.
’This could be a trap...’
As much as he could tell, it might be bait.
Then a bizarre situation formed, dazing Oliver Mori for a few seconds.
The Void Knight raised a finger, pointing toward the Dark Crow circling above, searching for another opening to assist Oliver with his Shadow Travel.
"What’s that?" Oliver muttered.
The Void Knight gave a slow nod, then its finger trailed downward toward the massive battle axe lodged firmly into the ground.
Oliver’s face twisted slowly from confusion to realization.
"Oh... you want a fair fight. No weapon, no summon."
’Like hell I would fight fair.’
Oliver waved his hand through the air, dismissing the Dark Crow as it faded into nothingness.
"Now back to—"
SPLOOOSH!
Oliver’s body convulsed violently, his eyes shaking within their sockets.
’What! What just happened...’
The moment he dismissed the Dark Crow, the Void Knight lunged forward, striking while he was distracted.
Oliver’s face turned pale as he stared directly into the abyss within the Void Knight’s gaze. Slowly, his expression fell as his eyes drifted downward.
The right hand of the Void Knight was buried deep into his gut...
...and protruding out the other side.
’Awwww fuck me...’
Blood poured out rapidly.
Warm. Endless.
He was bleeding profusely, his body losing energy with every passing second.
Oliver weakly raised his head toward the Void Knight, his hands grabbing onto its cold metallic arm, trying to pull it out of his body, but the grip was absolute.
And with how fast he was losing blood...
There was no escaping this with brute force.
"Huuuhh!" Oliver groaned, voice strained. "What happened to all that sassy honour shit you were displaying at the start of the battle?"
The Void Knight tilted its head once more in mockery. 𝕗𝐫𝐞𝕖𝕨𝐞𝗯𝚗𝕠𝘃𝐞𝚕.𝐜𝗼𝚖
It was never honourable.
It was dead.
A hollow vessel of carnage, created only to protect the Dark Castle.
It was no different from Oliver.
It would do anything to survive.
And certainly... to win.
Oliver’s lips curved slowly, his eyes dimming once again.
"Hehehe... heheheh..." he laughed weakly.
’Fool... How stupid are you in both lifetimes.’
Oliver summoned Racell into his hand and cleaved toward the eye of the Void Knight as fast as he could.
Still—
Not fast enough...
The other hand of the Void Knight shot up, catching his wrist mid-swing, stopping the blade just inches from its eye.
Then it tilted its head mockingly once more.
"Still cocky."
[Summoning Dark Crow]
Darkness weaved violently between the Void Knight and Oliver, twisting and compressing as a form began to take shape.
A loud, piercing caw echoed as the body of the Dark Crow manifested.
The Void Knight attempted to retreat—
However...
It was too late.
The next thing it saw were massive, merciless talons driving straight into both of its eye sockets with brutal force.
Crunch!
"KIEEEEEEEECK!"
It shrieked, jerking its head backward as it tore its arm free from Oliver’s body, attempting to claw the mighty summon off its face.
It tilted it’s head unnaturally three hundred and sixty degrees.
However, its attempts were useless.
The Dark Crow held strong, its talons digging deeper, tearing through everything it could reach within the helmet without mercy.
Until—
The body of the knight swayed weakly.
Once...
Twice...
It’s grip weakening.
Then collapsed heavily onto the ground with a resounding thud.
[You have defeated Void Knight]
[Rank: Unknown]
[You have leveled up]
[You have leveled up]
[You have reached Level 16]
"I win."
Oliver smiled weakly at the notification, his body swaying as his strength finally began to give out.
"Shit!"
He collapsed onto the ground, the toll and exhaustion of the battle taking immediate effect.
He tried to stay conscious.
He fought to remain awake.
But his body refused.
His vision blurred. Darkness creeping in.
He was going to lose consciousness...
Lose his life...
And worse...
He was about to lose his physical body.
Which meant there was no returning to the real world for him.
Not anymore.
