System: Replicating The Heavens-Chapter 470: Ch : Immortal Medicine Palace
"Who are you? State your purpose. What are you doing here?"
The two guards pointed the spears in their hands at Alex and asked sternly. At the same time, a powerful aura erupted from their bodies, wanting to suppress Alex.
Alex was surprised to find that these two guards were actually stronger than he was. Just from their auras, he can tell that they have already surpassed the True Divinity Stage. In other words, they were at least warriors going through the Three Stages of Saint Tribulation.
Just as Alex was about to look at their information, to his shock, they slowly faded away.
Yes, they faded away.
The two guards were obviously standing there, but in a mere moment, they actually disappeared slowly right in front of Alex as if they were never there.
How could Alex not be astonished?
He hurriedly looked around but found nothing. He even used his Chaos Energy to look for them, but didn't find a single trace of any living being. It was as if no living creature had been there for countless years already.
Alex: "???"
Alex began to suspect he was trapped in some sort of illusion, as there was no other way to make sense of what was happening before him.
With a puzzled expression, Alex shook his head and then strode through the main gate of Immortal Medicine Palace.
As Alex stepped through the main gate of the Immortal Medicine Palace, a sudden wave of energy brushed past him. It felt warm and cold at the same time, making his body shiver slightly.
When his vision cleared, he was stunned. The inside of the palace was enormous. It was far bigger than it appeared from the outside. What surprised him was that he seemed to have appeared inside a building.
As Alex raised his head, rows upon rows of wooden shelves stretching endlessly appeared before his eyes. Each of these wooden shelves was filled with jade bottles, crystal jars, and boxes made of rare materials. Moreover, a faint medicinal fragrance filled the air, calming his mind and body.
Soft golden light floated in the air like dust, but when Alex looked closely, he realized they were tiny runes of healing energy.
At the center of the vast hall stood a huge cauldron. This cauldron was at least ten meters tall, covered in strange carvings of beasts and herbs. Wisps of smoke were rising from it, giving off a faint glow that lit up the surroundings.
Alex didn't touch anything at all. The first thing he did was walk out of the building. He wanted to see what was outside. At the same time, he wanted to find the reason why he appeared directly inside a building after walking past the main gate of Immortal Medicine Palace.
As he walked out, he saw a vast garden in front of him. This garden was huge and filled with all kinds of herbs and flowers. There were even trees with fruit hanging. Further ahead, he could see several courtyards.
Alex thought for a moment and decided to leave the building area. He had already made up his mind to investigate the surroundings first, and only after confirming that there was nothing wrong would he return to examine all the treasures inside the building.
Very soon, he crossed a courtyard filled with the din of activity.
Upon closer inspection, Alex noticed numerous youths engaged in cultivation, some sparring with each other. Onlookers cheered from time to time, seemingly oblivious to Alex's presence.
The air here was crackling with intense energy. But the peace was short-lived. Suddenly, someone spotted him and shouted, "An invader! Everyone, prepare for battle!"
Tension gripped the air. In an instant, all eyes turned towards him, brimming with the zeal of battle as they surged in his direction.
"This..." 𝒻𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝘯𝘰𝑣ℯ𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝘮
Alex was taken aback at this scene. He didn't do anything, but these people reacted as if they had seen a great enemy.
As Alex braced to defend himself, the figures of the cultivators actually dissipated into thin air without a trace, just as the guards had.
Alex was puzzled once again. He could not help but think whether everything around him was an illusion or reality. He even wanted to use his Replication System to look at the information, but his system didn't react.
It can only mean there was no treasure around him, not even illusion formation.
Letting out a heavy sigh, Alex once again started walking forward. He walked all the way to a palace atop the mountain, which he could see even from afar.
When Alex arrived here, he actually felt his mind settling into a state of serene clarity.
Suddenly, he seemed to have an epiphany, and he began to discern the anomaly; he understood that these experiences were not of his time.
The phenomena likely represented scenes of ancient times. Whether through some enchantment or other means, these vestiges had been preserved.
However it was achieved, Alex admitted that the technique used was nothing short of miraculous. He could sense their auras vividly, yet he was now acutely aware that it was all an illusion.
As he came to the palace and explored, he saw several masters standing with faces filled with sorrow and fury.
"We must fight! Even if it comes down to the last person standing, we cannot let those bastards interrupt the Palace Master's breakthrough."
Suddenly, the clamor of a battle started ringing in Alex's ears for some reason. He could hear the sound of clashing weapons, detonations of energy and strength, and formidable auras that were astonishingly strong.
Not long after the sound appeared, the vision of a huge battle being fought also appeared before his eyes.
But the tumult was fleeting. Soon, the visions faded, leaving behind only empty structures enveloped in an eerie silence.
"Sigh!"
Alex sighed.
The vision he just had could be described with one word: Terrifying.
Why?
Because he had witnessed shocking strength. Every single person fighting in the vision had surpassed the True Divinity Stage. In fact, Alex was certain they were far stronger than any ordinary Saint Foundation or Saint Manifestation Stage warrior, even though he had never personally seen such people or experienced their power before.
