Sweet Wife So Charming: CEO: Hold Back Your Heart-Chapter 241: Spending Money
Moira Young walked to the elevator and waited for it. She remembered Julian Sinclair had a private elevator, but she was too lazy to ask someone to swipe her card.
The people around the company were originally standing at the elevator entrance, but when Moira Young arrived, they all dispersed to wait for other elevators.
A newcomer, unaware of the situation, quietly asked the person next to them, "Who is she? Why does everyone stay far away from her?"
"Shh—" The person next to them was startled by the sudden question, "In this company, never mention her name!"
"Huh? What do you mean?"
"She’s the girl Julian adopted," the person cautiously explained.
"Oh, I see, no wonder..." The newcomer nodded thoughtfully, "She looks different from ordinary people, it turns out she’s connected to the big boss."
The elevator Moira Young was waiting for arrived on the first floor, and when the elevator doors opened, the people inside were stunned when they saw Moira Young.
Then they immediately bowed slightly and hurriedly exited the elevator.
Those unaware might think Moira Young was a harbinger of disaster.
As Moira Young stepped into the elevator, she inadvertently saw a familiar boy walking towards her. She took a closer look and recognized Evan Howard.
"Evan!" Moira Young called out, waving her hand.
Everyone’s eyes were fixed on Evan, and only then did Moira Young realize that what she should do now was not to blatantly call Evan’s name but to hide and not let Evan see her.
Otherwise, Evan would quickly know about her relationship with Julian.
But it was too late; since she had already called out, she had to tough it out.
Evan walked over, not daring to look into Moira Young’s eyes, "It’s you..."
"I’m here to find someone. Are you adapting well here?" Moira Young asked.
"Yes, I am." Evan’s response was quite brief, "Thank you."
"You don’t need to thank me." Moira Young didn’t know what to chat about with him.
"I heard from Evan Howard that you guys are planning to open a shop together?"
"Yes, after I find the person, I’ll go to Evan Howard’s shop and discuss the specifics with him."
Evan also didn’t know what to say, and he wasn’t good at chatting, "Oh..."
Moira Young felt the atmosphere was quite awkward, "You go ahead and get busy."
"Okay." Evan nodded and went to work.
Moira Young took the elevator up to the top floor, the highest level, which was Julian Sinclair’s office.
She suddenly felt like playing a prank, quietly walked to the door, and knocked a few times.
"Come in." Mrs. Miller’s voice transmitted.
Moira Young didn’t move, she stood still for a few seconds, then knocked on the door again.
This time she heard Mrs. Miller’s footsteps. As soon as Mrs. Miller came out, Moira Young immediately gestured for silence.
Mrs. Miller understood and then went back inside without a word.
Julian Sinclair stopped his actions, "Who?"
"Sir, there’s no one," Mrs. Miller replied.
Julian Sinclair thought there really wasn’t anyone and continued signing documents.
Immediately after, Moira Young knocked on the door again.
This time Julian Sinclair heard it, frowned, and looked at Mrs. Miller.
Mrs. Miller lowered her head and stepped back two paces, "Sir, I really didn’t see anyone just now."
"I’ll go check again." Mrs. Miller said and went out again.
Once outside, Moira Young whispered, "Mrs. Miller, don’t go back in first."
"Okay, Miss." Mrs. Miller went downstairs first.
Moira Young knocked on the door again.
Julian Sinclair was getting a bit impatient. He put down the pen and his tall, slender figure walked over. 𝑓𝑟𝑒𝘦𝓌𝑒𝑏𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝘭.𝒸𝘰𝑚
Moira Young heard the footsteps and quickly hid to the side, holding her breath as she secretly giggled.
Julian Sinclair looked at the empty space before him where there was no one, then his peripheral vision caught the corner of Moira Young’s clothes peeking out where she was hiding.
A smile emerged on his refined face, dispelling all his irritation.
Julian Sinclair walked over without hesitation, embraced Moira Young, "Missed me?"
Moira Young was originally feeling smug, thinking Julian Sinclair hadn’t discovered her, but then she was unexpectedly drawn into his arms, unable to move.
"Not at all..." Her cheeks were a little flushed.
"I came to see you for something." Moira Young suddenly remembered her purpose.
"Hmm?"
Moira Young’s eyes flickered, "I want to buy a bag."
"A bag?"
"Don’t you have a card?" Julian Sinclair took out a card and handed it to Moira Young.
"I never spent money before..." Moira Young had never spent much before; Julian Sinclair always bought things for her, so she naturally didn’t have a card.
"No limit." Julian Sinclair handed Moira the card, it was his personal card. He thought Moira had one, but it turned out she didn’t.
Moira Young took it and looked at it, but she was worried that she might not be able to swipe the card when renting a place and stocking up, "Is there a card that allows withdrawal?"
"This one will do." Julian hadn’t thought much initially, but hearing Moira’s question made him realize she wasn’t planning to use it to buy a bag.
"That’s fine then." Moira Young put the card away, "I’ll be heading off then."
"You got the card and now just want to leave?" Julian Sinclair held her in place, intending to kiss her.
Moira Young dodged in a hurry, "This is an office..."
Julian Sinclair’s lips curled into a small smile, he didn’t tease her anymore, "Did you have lunch?"
"Yes, didn’t you ask Mrs. Miller to make sure I eat? She said I couldn’t leave until I finished." Moira Young pouted, acting a bit spoiled.
"Hmm." Julian Sinclair patted her little head.
"I’ll be heading off now, okay."
"Alright."
With that, Moira Young left the company.
Only, on the way to Evan Howard’s shop, she was not very happy; she initially proclaimed to rely on herself without using Julian Sinclair’s resources to open a shop, but the capital for the shop still had to come from Julian.
But she quickly came to terms with it.
By the time she arrived at Evan Howard’s shop, Evan was busy, and Moira was thinking of going to the large store to have a look.
She thought the big store was indeed quite good but still wasn’t large enough; Moira’s idea was to open one several times larger than this.
The bigger, the better, since she had the money.
After a while, she returned to Evan Howard’s shop, which was now empty except for Evan eating takeout while constantly messaging on his phone.
"Boss Howard." Moira Young entered.
Evan Howard, upon seeing Moira, stopped eating, "Moira, you’re here."
"Yes, Boss Howard, have you thought about what I mentioned?" Moira Young asked.
"I managed to borrow some money, so if you’re genuinely serious about opening a shop, we can partner up."
"That’s great." Moira Young sat down, eagerly asking, "Any leads on the storefronts?"
"Generally, shops on that street don’t transfer ownership since business is good, but there are three shops where the owners urgently want to sell because they are going abroad for business." Evan Howard had been messaging about this matter.
"Let’s quickly rent them." Moira Young was eager.
"Right now?"
"Yes, they’re urgently renting them. What if someone else rents them?" Moira Young thought, fortunately, she got the card from Julian.
"But my borrowed money hasn’t fully arrived yet, I’m afraid..." Evan Howard hesitated.
"Don’t worry, I brought money."
