Chapter 238: Chapter 238: Eating

"So, Moira passed the audition and got the lead female role with Sean Dunn. There’s still a male supporting role available, and the company managed to squeeze Heath in."

After hearing this, Heath’s expression was a bit off, and Moira Young thought it was because Heath didn’t want to act in a drama.

But then Heath said, "What do you mean by squeezing me in? And as a third male lead?"

"I think I can easily play the male lead, right?" Heath felt his looks were being undervalued. "You might think I can’t act, but you can’t deny my looks."

Moira stared at him blankly, not knowing what to say for a moment.

"You were originally going to take the trainee route. It took a lot of effort to get you this third male lead, so you have to cherish it!" Lee patted his shoulder. "You might end up being popular like Moira."

Heath was already fantasizing about becoming wildly popular. Although he’s well-known in the racing world, there aren’t that many people in the racing scene.

"Fine, I reluctantly agree." Heath nonchalantly leaned back in his chair, almost putting his feet on the table.

"Moira has already gotten the script, so be sure to study it well and memorize your lines. I’ll inform you later about the exact shooting dates." Lee handed out another script. "This is for Heath. Although the role isn’t extensive, it’s quite good for a complete newcomer."

Heath carelessly picked it up, flipped through it, and yawned, "Do I have to memorize it too?"

"Of course, you do."

"I get sleepy just looking at books. This script is so thick, how is it different from a book?" Heath frowned, throwing it back onto the table. "Lee, don’t they have scenes where you say ’one, two, three, four’ while acting, and then dub the lines later?"

Lee looked exasperated, "Heath, you have to remember all the time that you’re a newcomer."

"Got it, got it." Heath reluctantly picked up the script. "Can I leave now?"

"Go on, but make sure you study the script properly at home, remember!" Lee repeatedly instructed.

"Got it!"

When Moira Young and Heath were taking the elevator down, Carter Porter called Heath. Although the call’s content was unknown, after hanging up, Heath looked at Moira.

"Carter is actually inviting us to eat. I really don’t get it. He’s dating a girl and suddenly has money?" Heath was puzzled.

Just as he said this, Moira’s phone rang too; it was Carter calling.

Heath and Moira exchanged a glance before Heath picked it up, cursing, "Can’t you just say everything in one go when you call me?"

The person on the other end hesitated for a moment, and a girl’s voice then said, "This is Mimi..."

Heath felt embarrassed, "Oh."

Then he handed the phone to Moira.

Carter and Mimi wanted to invite Heath and Moira for a meal, and Moira naturally agreed. However, it was only mid-afternoon, not yet time for a meal.

Heath suggested they first go to Morton’s shop to hang out, to wait for Carter and Mimi there.

Moira didn’t have anything else to do, so she went along.

Since it wasn’t the peak eating time, Morton’s store didn’t have many people, and the previous Japanese female clerk was no longer there.

As soon as Heath entered the store, he called out Morton’s name. The familiar staff were used to it and didn’t pay him much attention.

The only difference this time was the staff sneaked glances at Moira. After all, she was getting slightly popular now. Even if they weren’t her fans, they knew she was a celebrity.

Morton came out from the kitchen, "Heath, Moira, you’re here."

"Carter got himself a girlfriend and insists on treating us to a meal, so I had to reluctantly agree!"

"Carter found a girlfriend?" Morton asked, interested.

"Yeah, she just suddenly appeared out of nowhere. I had no time to prepare," Heath complained.

Moira quietly stood beside him, not saying a word.

"Carter called me yesterday about coming over for a meal. He didn’t mention having a girlfriend." Morton, who guessed Moira would come, said, "I specially airfreighted some sea urchins, they’re fresh."

Upon hearing this, Moira finally smiled, "Great, it feels like I haven’t had it in a long time."

"Go rest for a while first," Morton suggested.

Heath, familiar with the place, led Moira to Morton’s lounge, the one filled with books.

Heath came to the room purely to take a nap. Especially seeing Moira seriously reading the script at the desk, he had nothing to say, so he simply lay on the tatami and slept.

Only after Carter and Mimi arrived did they go out to find a place to sit down.

Mimi wasn’t particularly beautiful, but she had an outgoing personality. The four of them casually ordered some food, leaving the rest to Morton.

"Let’s drink a bit," Carter proposed, giving Heath an intentional glance.

Heath understood, showing a "I get you and support you" expression, "It’s a happy day, we gotta drink!"

"I’ll drink too!" Mimi seemed to really like drinking, her eyes lighting up at the mention of alcohol.

Among the four present, except for Moira Young, the others were drinking.

She waited quietly for Morton to serve the dishes, eagerly looking forward to eating fresh sea urchin. Morton’s culinary skills were excellent; besides sashimi, he could prepare sea urchin in various ways, all particularly delicious.

"Moira, have a drink too?" Mimi poured Moira some alcohol. "This drink is very mild, you won’t get drunk."

Carter and Heath exchanged puzzled looks; where was this drink mild?

Moira originally didn’t plan on drinking, but since Mimi mentioned it, being their first meeting, she didn’t want to refuse and be impolite.

And besides, she wasn’t in a great mood after a morning argument with Julian Sinclair.

"Okay." Moira took it and sipped.

"Let’s play a game! Play a game!" Mimi was really lively. Even though there were only four of them dining, her demeanor brought the atmosphere to life.

Heath was also someone who couldn’t hold back once the atmosphere was up; he absolutely had to join in.

But it was different for Moira; she didn’t have a personality that blended in easily, but she was trying.

"How do we play?" Carter asked.

"How about Truth or Dare?" Mimi suggested enthusiastically.

Heath, being straightforward, agreed immediately. Carter, being simple-minded, also agreed at once.

Moira, thoughtful and not fond of speaking, hesitated and gave no reply.

At this moment, Morton brought over the sea urchin, seeing they were enjoying themselves, he couldn’t help but ask, "What’s making you all so happy?"

"Morton, come on, come join us!" Heath dragged him over to sit down. "We’re playing Truth or Dare, and you can’t miss out!"

"I still have things to attend to, you all play," Morton replied with a smile.
