Chapter 204: Chapter 204: Got It

"Look at yourself! Are you even a man!" Heath Sterling mocked him disdainfully.

Carter Porter retorted, unconvinced: "Are you the most manly in the world then?"

"Of course I—"

Moira Young stopped them: "Alright, enough arguing."

Carter and Heath glared at each other and then ignored each other.

Morton led them to their seats, "Today’s ingredients haven’t arrived yet, so we can only serve whatever we have."

"Huh? Just the three of us eating yesterday’s leftovers?" Heath looked disappointed.

"Having anything to eat is already good enough." Carter mumbled.

"We still have king crabs. I’ll pick the biggest one for you guys; Moira should really like it." Morton glanced at Moira with a smile.

Carter and Heath exclaimed in unison: "How do you know she likes it?"

"You guys don’t know?" Morton asked in puzzlement.

Heath’s expression faltered, but to show that his relationship with Moira Young was the best, he pretended and said, "I know everything Moira likes."

Moira felt a bit awkward listening to this topic and said to Morton, "Thank you for the other day."

"No way, you guys have secrets?" Heath was puzzled.

"Don’t you remember the day you sent me to deliver dinner to Moira?" Morton laughed.

Heath thought for a while before recalling, and the topic soon ended.

Morton personally picked out a large king crab and served some other dishes, but the sea urchins were all gone; he remembered Moira loved sea urchins.

Morton privately sent someone to the seafood market to buy some back.

"Moira, the fresh sea urchins haven’t arrived yet, so you’ll have these from the seafood market for now. I’ve tasted them; they’re quite good." This portion of sea urchins only had four pieces, carefully selected by the staff after Morton’s careful selection. Originally bought over twenty, but only these four were worthy.

Moira expressed gratitude: "Actually, you didn’t need to go to so much trouble; I could have them next time."

"Just let me know in advance next time you’re coming over so I can prepare." Morton said.

Heath had just stuffed a sushi in his mouth, chewed for a while before swallowing, and said: "Never mentioned notifying you before, why the change now?"

"I’m worried the food you want might not be available; it’d be bad hospitality." Morton explained.

"As long as we’re full, it’s enough. No need for such pretension, we’ve got a great relationship!"

Morton always accommodated Heath’s attitude, as if an older brother looking after his younger brother, "Whatever you say goes."

During the meal, the female server occasionally came over, even though she wasn’t the one serving initially, she ended up taking over.

A girl’s heart is always more delicate than a boy’s, Moira noticed this.

"Morton, who’s that girl?" Moira’s curiosity drove her to ask.

Heath was curious too, "I asked him this morning but he wouldn’t answer. Guess there’s something fishy."

Morton coughed lightly, "Don’t make wild guesses."

Moira smiled while pondering and nodded knowingly.

Morton initially didn’t want to explain further, but seeing Moira seemed to understand something, he quickly clarified: "Her name is Yoko, she’s a friend of mine from Japan."

"Huh? Why is your friend working as a server in your restaurant? Did you offer a high salary?" Heath kept pressing for answers.

Morton was momentarily stumped, so Moira helped him out: "Morton’s restaurant is now a popular spot online, packed every day. It’s normal for him to call in friends to help."

Heath is the type who believes whatever Moira says, "Alright then, I thought it was something fishy."

Morton politely thanked Moira, although feeling slightly embarrassed.

Moira pretended not to notice his embarrassment and continued eating.

Time flies when you’re with friends, and soon it was past eleven-thirty. Moira Young needed to rush back to the production crew.

"I’m running late; I need to head back to the crew." Moira said in a rush, taking one last bite of crab leg before heading out.

"We’ll stop eating too and take you there," Heath offered.

"Don’t waste it; you guys eat, I’ll take a cab." Moira replied.

Morton put a hand on Heath’s shoulder, "I’ll have someone drive Moira."

Moira thanked Morton and returned to the crew in his car.

Once back, the girls were all sitting at the dining table having lunch, everyone looking sickly and especially Crystal, who seemed the worst.

When they saw Moira, their expressions changed.

Moira took her seat calmly; though full, she symbolically ate a bit.

It was odd that after Moira arrived, the table was silent except for mild coughing and the sound of utensils.

Moira felt something was off; usually, these girls would chat about all sorts of things.

Suddenly, Elena spoke up, asking a question all the girls were dying to ask but didn’t dare: "Moira, yesterday... who was that?" Elena looked politely pleading.

Hearing this, Moira understood why the girls were silent.

"I don’t know him," Moira answered blandly.

Someone snorted coldly; it was clear they knew Moira was lying.

"We all caught colds and got sick after getting drenched for two hours in the heavy rain yesterday," Elena said weakly, wiping her nose with a tissue, "Even the strong and healthy crew members weren’t spared, but only you came out unscathed."

"The helicopter yesterday... was it sent for you?"

Moira shook her head, denying: "No."

Crystal rolled her eyes, weakly said: "I think I saw the Sinclair Group logo on that helicopter, maybe I was seeing things..."

This statement suddenly seemed to remind everyone present, as if they all understood something.

"Do you remember the rumor about Moira being revealed as Arthur Whitman’s daughter, supposedly by Julian from the Sinclair Group? It hasn’t been long and everyone seems to have forgotten?"

Moira’s eyes lowered slightly, expressionless.

"I remember!"

"But... how could Julian possibly be connected with her..."

The girls started discussing, completely disregarding Moira.

Elena originally thought Moira had a powerful backing but upon hearing it was the Sinclair Group’s helicopter, her attitude towards Moira instantly changed, showing two-facedness.

Because in everyone’s eyes, since Julian revealed Moira is Arthur Whitman’s daughter, there couldn’t possibly be any undisclosed relationship between them.
