Sweet Wife So Charming: CEO: Hold Back Your Heart-Chapter 199: Asleep
Julian Sinclair carried her onto the helicopter, affectionately patting her head, "Were you always such a crybaby?"
Moira Young sat up from his embrace and moved to the side, "I rarely cry."
Julian Sinclair’s thin lips curled slightly, finding Moira Young more and more intriguing.
Julian Sinclair called Mrs. Miller in advance, asking her to prepare the hot bath water.
By the time they got home, Moira Young was already frozen to the bone. Mrs. Miller saw the two of them completely soaked, with Moira Young still trembling, and hurriedly ran upstairs to prepare clean clothes for her.
It was already very cold at night, and Mrs. Miller, fearing that Moira Young would feel cold after her bath, also turned on the heater.
After Moira Young went in to bathe, Mrs. Miller looked at Julian Sinclair and asked, "Sir, the hot water in your bathroom is also ready. I’ll brew a pot of ginger tea for you and the miss."
"Mm, go ahead." Julian Sinclair cast a deep glance at Moira Young’s door and then returned to his own room.
Moira Young lay against the door, listening until she couldn’t hear their footsteps and finally breathed a sigh of relief.
She looked at the bathroom she was in, a place she’d lived in for so many years, always feeling secure and comfortable.
Moira Young sank into the bathtub, enveloped by the warm water. It had been such a long time since she felt this comfortable.
She turned on the small TV in front of the bathtub, and it was broadcasting the program she was participating in. The program was aired live, requiring real-time fan voting, so generally, what was recorded during the day would be aired that night.
However, it wasn’t a major production, so the airing time wasn’t during prime time and was scheduled for 9:30 PM.
What was airing now were the events of their day.
Moira Young watched for a while but didn’t see her face on the screen; it mostly showed Crystal and Elena.
Perhaps she found rewatching her daytime schedule a bit dull, Moira Young watched until she slowly fell asleep.
In a vague dream, she dreamed that she was sleeping and then someone seemed to knock on the door.
In the dream, Moira Young was woken up and went to open the door, only for it to be suddenly pushed open by a mysterious force.
Startled, she was suddenly jarred awake, her leg cramping unexpectedly, causing her to slip into the bathtub, her head submerged.
As she scrambled to grab the edge to pull herself up, strong hands pulled her out of the water.
Moira Young choked on the bath water, with flower petals on her head and bubbles all over her body.
Julian Sinclair looked at her worriedly, "Did you fall asleep?"
Moira Young dazedly wiped the water from her face, finally seeing Julian Sinclair holding her arm, and realizing she was completely exposed in front of him!
"Ah—!" Moira Young’s cheeks instantly burned, as she hastily covered her important parts.
Julian Sinclair wasn’t angry; instead, he smiled slightly, intrigued, "Didn’t you say you’re my woman?"
"Since you’re my woman, what haven’t I seen?" Julian Sinclair’s eyes gleamed with a captivating light as he leaned closer to Moira Young.
Moira Young’s body stiffened, holding her breath, "You... you leave..."
Because Moira Young’s body was still slick with bubbles, Julian didn’t have a firm grip. Taking advantage of this, Moira struggled free and was about to run out of the bathtub.
"Ah—!" But unexpectedly slipped under her feet!
Watching herself about to fall!
"Moira!" Julian Sinclair caught her just in time!
As Moira Young stepped out of the bathroom, she left a trail of bathwater, which made the floor slippery. Julian didn’t expect to slip as well, and the two fell heavily to the ground together!
Julian Sinclair instinctively protected Moira Young, while Moira Young instinctively nestled into Julian Sinclair’s embrace!
The whole bathroom was filled with a strange atmosphere...
Once Moira Young came to her senses, she felt her face was burning up, and not caring about anything else, ran over to grab some clothes to hastily wrap herself.
"Get out..." Moira Young was on the verge of tears, "Get out..."
Julian Sinclair stood up, raised his eyebrows slightly, "Fine."
With that said, he left.
Only then did Moira Young have a moment to breathe, rinsing off the bubbles from her body.
As soon as she stepped out of the bathroom, she saw Julian Sinclair still there, sitting on the sofa with a slight nap.
He sensed the enchanting fragrance from Moira Young’s body; opening his eyes, he said, "Come downstairs to eat."
Moira Young had already put on her pajamas, but her hair was still wet. Hearing Julian Sinclair ask her to eat right away made her feel a little disappointed.
In the past, Julian Sinclair wouldn’t have allowed her to do anything until her hair was dry.
Julian Sinclair got up from the sofa, ready to leave. Moira Young moved to the hairdryer, pouting as she started to dry her hair.
Julian Sinclair’s footsteps paused, then he turned back, taking the hairdryer from Moira Young’s hand and switching it off.
"What are you doing?" Moira Young frowned.
"Why aren’t you happy?" Julian Sinclair lifted her chin, his eyes reflecting Moira Young’s fair skin.
"I’m not." Moira Young softly turned her face away, "You’re overthinking."
Seeing that she wouldn’t speak, Julian Sinclair didn’t press her. He looked at the hairdryer in his hand, then straightened Moira Young’s body.
"What exactly are you doing?" Moira Young’s voice filled with frustration.
"Don’t move." Julian Sinclair commanded with a gentle tone, then began drying her hair.
Moira Young’s eyes reddened, obediently standing still.
"Did I used to blow dry your hair like this too?" Julian Sinclair suddenly asked.
Moira Young bit her lower lip, refusing to answer.
After some time, her hair was about seventy to eighty percent dry. As the room’s heater was on and the hairdryer emitted warm air, Moira Young felt a bit hot.
She shook her head, signaling him to stop.
Downstairs, Mrs. Miller had yet to finish cooking, but the ginger tea was ready.
Perhaps having relaxed a bit, Moira Young casually slouched on the sofa and drank a few sips of the ginger tea.
After a while, she realized this wasn’t her real home anymore and panicked slightly, preparing to leave.
But Julian Sinclair held her shoulder down, "Where are you going?"
"I should head back to the show group, just to report I’m safe." Moira Young dared not meet Julian Sinclair’s eyes, fearing that if she looked even a second longer, she’d be unable to pull away.
"They’re still on the road." Julian Sinclair said nonchalantly.
Moira Young checked the time; it was 10:10. By her estimate, they were still four to five hours away from Aleridia.
"But I should go back and wait for them." Moira Young just wanted to leave.
