Supremely Talented Tyrant-Chapter 1861 - 2062: Negotiation!
Capítulo 1861: Chapter 2062: Negotiation!
Though separated by screens and communicating through cold text, through the words, Hao Jian could see Shu Ya’s facial expression from far away—surely she was puffing out her cheeks, pretending to be angry when she sent the message. Thinking about this, a smile involuntarily appeared on his face.
He quickly sent back a message: “Just wait and see, I’ll be waiting for you to come back!”
Hao Jian was initially eagerly waiting for Shu Ya to send a message back, but after a minute or two, there was still no response. He guessed she must be busy since she had mentioned before that while it was morning for her, it was evening here, and the time difference was not the same.
Thinking of this, the excitement he felt faded away a lot, replaced by a sense of loss. He tossed the phone onto the bed, lay flat on it, and let his thoughts wander aimlessly.
However, just as he was preparing to close his eyes and sleep, his phone suddenly rang. He excitedly grabbed it, realizing it was Shu Ya calling via video. Now he understood—she had been getting ready for the video call, probably just got up early, and made herself presentable before dialing.
Women, they’re so complicated! Hao Jian couldn’t help but sigh inwardly and immediately connected the video call. Once connected, he saw the face he had been yearning for, with Shu Ya wearing light makeup.
“Don’t move!” Shu Ya commanded sternly once the video call connected.
Hao Jian froze momentarily, then dared not twitch an inch, pausing for a few seconds before asking, “What’s wrong?”
Shu Ya maintained a serious expression. After over twenty seconds, she finally smiled and said, “Very good. I was checking if you were messing around outside. Seems you’re quite honest, good. Be honest, or I’ll come back and pluck your feathers!”
After hearing this, Hao Jian’s heart tightened. Women can be terrifying, his heart raced at the sudden scare. He thought her command not to move was for something else, turns out it was a remote check-up, which sounds horrifying. His heart quickened, but he maintained a normal outward expression, knowing if she sensed anything odd, he’d be in big trouble.
Thinking this, he smiled and replied, “Is that even allowed?”
Shu Ya merely smiled, of course not revealing how she checked, knowing if Hao Jian found out, he’d have a way to counteract it next time. Naturally, she wouldn’t be foolish enough to disclose it. Plus, a woman’s sixth sense is incredibly strong, sometimes inexplicably so.
She looked at Hao Jian’s calm demeanor, unperturbed by her questions, assuring her there was nothing amiss.
She had no idea, Hao Jian was in turmoil internally, knowing if anything were detected, he’d be doomed. There was a strange woman in the living room, and if Shu Ya found out, he wouldn’t have to wait for her trip to end, she’d be on the next flight back to flay him.
Afterward, they entered an exceedingly sweet stage of conversation, exchanging words without feeling the least bit bored. Words that might bring others goosebumps, they found them particularly pleasant.
After some routine affectionate dialogs, they began discussing recent life events, exchanging many details. After more than half an hour, Shu Ya likely realized it was late on his side, needing to rest.
Even though Hao Jian wanted to continue, Shu Ya gave him no choice, forcing him to sleep, as they reluctantly ended the call. Hao Jian helplessly hung up, and with a hollow feeling, stared at the phone screen.
Taking Shu Ya’s words to heart, he didn’t plan to do anything else but closed his eyes and slept. That night, perhaps due to Shu Ya’s call, perhaps because he was home, Hao Jian felt extraordinarily comfortable and slept soundly through the night. Upon waking, it was another bright, clear day.
At this point, he stretched, moved his muscles, and saw Shu Ya had sent a message. She had written “Good night.” I’m asleep when you’re awake, and awake when you’re asleep, the longest distance apart. Yet, a smile appeared on Hao Jian’s face as he sent a “Good morning” hoping she’d feel happy seeing it upon waking.
After stretching again, Hao Jian got up. He dressed and remembered Moon had slept on the sofa the night before; wondering whether she was awake, he looked out only to find the sofa was empty.
Seeing this, Hao Jian felt puzzled, where did she disappear to? Looking more carefully, he found a note left on the coffee table beside the sofa. He blinked and moved downstairs to pick it up from the table.
The writing was undoubtedly Moon’s. It was a simple, brief line.
“I’m leaving. Be careful recently, there might be trouble. Regards, Moon.” 𝐟𝗿𝐞𝚎𝚠𝐞𝚋𝕟𝐨𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝕔𝕠𝚖
After reading, Hao Jian looked confused, crumpled the note, and tossed it into the trash. Considering, it seemed Moon intended to inform him but found him absent, sleeping on the sofa until realizing in the morning he’d returned while still asleep. Needing to leave, she left the note.
Hao Jian’s thoughts closely matched the reality. Indeed, Moon had discovered something new and came to warn him. Unfortunately, finding him not home, too exhausted to stay awake, she wrote a note deciding not to disturb him when she’d awoken.
Thinking this, Hao Jian felt puzzled. With Moon’s caution, it seemed indeed significant, requiring attention recently. His expression turned serious, he quickly freshened up and made breakfast.
Once breakfast was finished, he received a message from Liang Xiaohan, reminding him of the evening’s plans. Hao Jian smiled, replying with an OK gesture emoji. Then he messaged Liang Yuwei, saying the issue could be resolved now. Liang Yuwei likely at work, didn’t immediately respond.
Hao Jian then relaxed on the sofa watching TV, waiting for seven o’clock to arrive. In the afternoon, he napped briefly, waking to find it past five. After tidying up, he left by six, arriving at the appointed place by half-past six, when Liang Xiaohan called. They exchanged a few words before meeting at Mengdun Hotel.
A scholar adheres to punctuality. Hao Jian thought arriving half an hour early was soon enough, but Liang Xiaohan’s father already seated upstairs surprised him.
Properly speaking, he was the junior, and Liang Xiaohan’s father was the senior, usually he’d be waiting. Yet her father was there first, showing no airs of seniority, demonstrating respect was mutual.
Even now, Liang Xiaohan couldn’t believe Hao Jian could persuade her uncle Liang Youzhen. Let alone her uncle, even her father seemed impossible to convince. What Ma Jingxuan said that night had severely impacted Hao Jian’s image, and she doubted he could turn things around.
Hao Jian seemed to read her thoughts, smiled, and said, “Wait for my good news, don’t leave.”
Liang Xiaohan planned to leave after arranging the meeting, her task merely to invite her father. But seeing Hao Jian’s confident demeanor prompted curiosity about potential outcomes, despite skepticism about any breakthroughs.
Hao Jian aimed to first earn her father’s understanding, then invite Liang Youzhen for a proper talk, confident negotiations would turn things around. He operated with substantial confidence and resolve, never backing down from challenges, evidenced by his emphatic prior assurances to Liang Yuwei. He’s a very responsible man.
Once words were spoken, they must be fulfilled one by one.
That in mind, he headed inside the hotel, leaving Liang Xiaohan outside awaiting news. Watching him depart, she couldn’t help but regard him skeptically, never meeting anyone capable of influencing her father.
Standing outside, she reflected on his confident yet unfamiliar look upon entering. Time flew as she paced the hotel’s parking area.
Unexpectedly, what she thought would take ten minutes extended to over half an hour, with Hao Jian still inside.
This left her wondering, her face laden with doubt.
