Supremely Talented Tyrant-Chapter 1825 - 2026: Liang Xiaohan Has a Fever!!!
Capítulo 1825: Chapter 2026: Liang Xiaohan Has a Fever!!!
The students turned pale with fear at the sight of the police, trembling all over. When they heard they couldn’t leave and had to go to the police station to give statements, they freaked out even more, looking entirely out of it.
They had snuck out temporarily, and if they didn’t return home all night, their parents would discover it the next day, which would be disastrous. They’d be in for a scolding, possibly even have their allowance deducted. And if they had to call their parents to the station, they might as well die right there. Just the thought sent chills down their spines.
At this moment, they were absolutely terrified. No matter how arrogant they had been earlier, they now appeared timid, not daring to say a word, all bowing their heads.
Only Awu, Zhao Xiangwu, Zhang Hao, and those well-acquainted with them, who had seen more of the world, managed to stay calm. 𝓯𝓻𝒆𝙚𝒘𝓮𝙗𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝒍.𝙘𝓸𝙢
The police didn’t say much more and just arrested Qiao Ge and a few others, while they politely invited the students into the cars. Hao Jian had plenty of chances to leave, but since he was the one who reported the incident and because Liang Xiaohan was involved too, he chose to accompany her to the police station.
When Qiao Ge was being taken away, the restaurant owner watched from the side. Qiao Ge suddenly shot him a glace, making the owner’s face turn pale. If he were to be remembered by someone like Qiao Ge, there would be no way he could continue to run his business after Qiao Ge got out.
Slowly, everyone got into the police cars and drove off. At that moment, a group of people appeared out of nowhere—these were the people Qiao Ge had called. Seeing the police cars in front of the restaurant and Qiao Ge getting arrested, they scattered in panic.
In a matter of seconds, the mighty crowd evaporated into thin air. Not long after, the news of Qiao Ge being taken in spread like wildfire, causing joy among local shopowners, while those in the underground circles were scared into submission by the news.
It was no joke. If someone like Qiao Ge could be taken in, then the small players had to toe the line; otherwise, they’d be next in line.
The police car quickly brought everyone to the station. It wasn’t the same station where Liang Yuwei worked, just a branch station in the area. The matter wasn’t complicated, and the police didn’t make it difficult for the students. They took brief statements and recorded the students’ information before letting them go, but it wasn’t the same for Qiao Ge and the others. Due to their past records, once they were there, it wasn’t easy to leave; after giving their statement, they were sent straight to detention.
Getting out wouldn’t be simple for them, it would probably take a while. The police had a hard time bringing these local thugs in, they wouldn’t just let them go that easily.
By the time everything was done, it was already past midnight. Zhang Hao and his crew had given their statements first, so by the time Liang Xiaohan was done, they had vanished.
Liang Xiaohan waited at the police station’s entrance for her group, and once they were all out, she gave them a few instructions and some words of gratitude, then told them to hurry home.
Heading home now would mean returning late, which could be explained away. Staying out longer might be seen as staying out all night, making things much more complicated.
Better to leave everything for tomorrow; tonight, they should just get a good rest.
Once everyone was sent off, Liang Xiaohan slowly dragged her tired body in one direction, with Hao Jian following behind. She initially ignored him but stopped after walking a while, turning around to face him.
“It’s pretty late. You should head back. I don’t need anyone to walk me home,” said Liang Xiaohan.
Hao Jian listened without responding, just giving a faint smile. Who said his intention was to escort her home? He merely had something left to say; otherwise, all his effort today would be wasted.
It seemed Liang Xiaohan understood what was on Hao Jian’s mind. As he was thinking, she spoke up, “I know what you’re thinking. You did great today; I’m satisfied, but…”
She paused before continuing, “Don’t expect me to thank you. That’s not going to happen. Don’t even think about it. Besides, I know you want to ask me for something. I may not know what it is, but I won’t agree today. Maybe if I’m in a better mood tomorrow, I might say yes.”
With that, she didn’t give Hao Jian a chance to reply, instead turning on her heel, hands in pockets, and walked off. As she turned away, Hao Jian caught a glimpse of her side profile, filled with a smile.
In truth, she was quite grateful to Hao Jian. If not for his sudden appearance and help, she wasn’t sure where she’d be right now. She might even be lying in a hospital bed. But girls often need to keep a sense of reserve; knowing something herself was enough without needing to voice it clearly.
Hao Jian silently watched her back as she left, thoughts swirling in his mind. He didn’t know why, but even though Liang Xiaohan was just a young girl, there was a mature aura about her movements.
Reflecting on these things, he watched her walk away. Suddenly, as she was walking just fine, Liang Xiaohan started to stagger and then collapsed. Witnessing this, Hao Jian rushed over, catching her just before she hit the ground.
Liang Xiaohan’s face suddenly looked very weary, with her eyes half-closed. He held her up and urgently asked, “What’s wrong?”
Liang Xiaohan seemed to think she had already fallen, and upon realizing Hao Jian had caught her, she showed a hint of joy but weakly said, “I don’t know why, suddenly I feel so heavy, my head is spinning, and I want to sleep!”
Hearing this, Hao Jian quickly touched her forehead and was startled by how hot it was.
He said, “You have a high fever. Didn’t you notice any symptoms before?”
Liang Xiaohan let out an “oh” and said, “A high fever, huh? Just take me home. I don’t want to go to the hospital.”
Hao Jian wanted to take her to the hospital, but she insisted on not going and asked him to take her home, saying there was fever medicine there. Unable to argue with her, Hao Jian gave in and decided to take her home first since she claimed to have medicine there.
But it was so late, and if he took Liang Xiaohan home, would her parents misunderstand? As he pondered this, Liang Xiaohan seemed to guess his thoughts and weakly explained, “I don’t usually go home. I rent a place near school and only go home on weekends.”
Hao Jian replied with an “oh,” thinking, it’s no wonder she could stay out so late without anyone caring. She lives independently without any parental oversight, giving her more freedom.
Reflecting on this, Hao Jian silently admired her. It seemed this girl appeared strong because she was used to living independently. Kids who could take care of themselves often matured faster than their peers, suggesting she had plenty of untapped stories.
While pondering these thoughts, Liang Xiaohan had already pulled out her phone, opened the map, and selected an address before tossing it to Hao Jian, saying, “The place is at this address.”
Hao Jian then hoisted her onto his back, calling a taxi, and instructed the driver with the address, slowly making their way there. Before long, they arrived at their destination. He helped her out of the car, following her instructions into an apartment complex, then used a key to open an apartment—a one-bedroom, three-living-room place.
After entering the apartment, he turned on the living room light, closed the door, and laid Liang Xiaohan down on the sofa. During the drive, she had mentioned that the fever medicine was in the second drawer of her bedroom’s nightstand.
So, after setting her down, he headed into her bedroom. Upon opening the door, he was greeted by a sweet, girlish scent.
Noticing the bedroom’s decor, Hao Jian couldn’t help but reflect that Liang Xiaohan had a girlish, pink heart beneath her tough exterior!
Embraced by the “pleasant” aroma, Hao Jian quietly opened the drawer she mentioned, finding an assortment of fever medicine.
He was astonished to find the drawer stocked with all sorts of medicines—cold medicine, fever reducers, cough syrups—it seemed to contain everything one could need.
No wonder she reacted so strongly at the mention of hospitals. It seemed she had a deep-seated fear of them, resorting to a pile of medicine to deal with health issues without ever setting foot in a hospital.
Hao Jian, unexpectedly, stumbled upon this little secret of Liang Xiaohan.
He fetched the fever medicine and poured a glass of warm water from the living room, planning to give it to Liang Xiaohan to take. But upon approaching, he found her asleep on the sofa.
He extended a hand to wake her; falling asleep with a fever was unwise. No matter what, she needed to take her medicine before resting.
Hao Jian gently woke her and coaxed her to take the medicine. After taking it, she immediately collapsed again.
