Supreme Husband System! & Supreme Wife System!-Chapter 882: The city of Ironcreek
As Irene gently descended, she noticed that the city of Ironcreek was in turmoil. She suspected that rumors about the anomaly had already spread.
Many people gathered at the entrance to the city administration, demanding explanations, but were stopped by law enforcement officers and the military.
"There's not a minute to lose," Irene said, closing her eyes, and they immediately filled with light. Without wasting time on conversations and persuasions, she decided to act decisively and paved her way forward.
Irene landed at the entrance to the building, outside the cordon, along with her Doppelganger, who looked like her twin sister.
Such a sudden appearance, and an unusual one at that, attracted everyone's attention.
Irene, not paying attention to what was happening, went to the entrance of the building, where there were armed guards.
"Freeze!" one of the guards shouted, thrusting his arms forward, but immediately froze.
His eyes, like those of all the guards, lost their light and turned white.
Then, stepping aside, he even helpfully opened the entrance to the building for Irene and her Double.
Soon, the rest of the Guild members, including Arabel herself, descended from the sky after Irene.
The Guild members, who mostly consisted of the core group of the Queens Guild, were whispering and smiling, proud of their Queen, whom they had followed.
Irene confidently walked through the corridors of the clean and ornate building.
Her long blonde hair flowed behind her back, and the magnificent Guild uniform perfectly matched her figure, giving her truly royal features. Her eyes were spinning in a hypnotic spiral, emitting a pinkish purple light that looked like the energy of madness.
Everyone who met her on the way fell under her spell and obligingly stepped aside to make way for her.
"Take me to the Mayor of this city," Irene said to one of the administration staff.
"Follow me," said the young employee, and, inviting them to follow him, he headed forward.
"Impressive," Arabel said with a smile, keeping some distance from Irene and allowing her to sort things out on her own.

An urgent meeting was taking place on the upper floors of the city administration, in the Mayor's office. It was attended by the heads of all city services, the military, and the leader of the Awakened group from the Awakened Association.
The mayor had a serious expression on his face.
Earlier, the Federation mentioned in its messages that it was not known for sure whether the anomaly would reach the city. However, in the last message, he was explicitly asked to leave the city as soon as possible, taking key assets with him.
"There are no direct roads to the nearest city," said the head of Logistics, confirming what was already known.
"There are only waves of Evolved Beasts around us, and we cannot consider the possibility of a ground evacuation of residents, Mayor," the city's security chief added. "We'll just be a treat for their hungry stomachs."
The mayor's proposal for a ground evacuation was immediately rejected. He understood that the only way to survive in this terrible situation was through airplanes. However, even their number was catastrophically small.
"Give up, Mayor," said the Awakened One from the Association. "The city is doomed, and it cannot be saved."
"Moreover, your city is not the only one who has faced a similar problem," he added. "There are similar events happening all over the Federation right now, and the Federation's strength is not enough to help everyone."
"Save yourself by taking as many people with you as you can," the Awakened One suggested and, not wanting to waste any more time, began to leave.
He had already received an order from the Association to leave the city, and his task could be said to have been completed.
No matter how much he wanted to save people, he and his team weren't omnipotent and couldn't protect the residents of this city from this kind of threat like Anomalies.
No one tried to stop him. Unlike him, the others were mere mortals. 𝕗𝚛𝚎𝚎𝐰𝗲𝗯𝗻𝚘𝚟𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝕞
He opened the door, went out into the corridor and went to the room where his subordinates were waiting for him. But halfway there, he bumped into a young administration employee whose eyes were empty and his face was lifeless. He was leading two beautiful twin girls with long blonde hair, dressed in elegant black Guild uniforms.
For a moment, he was captivated by Irene's beauty and did not immediately realize who she was. But as soon as he saw her eyes, he staggered back and hurriedly closed his own.
"Those eyes… Queen Irene!" he recognized, and goosebumps ran down his spine.
Irene, one of the ten Heroes of the Federation, was very popular. Despite trying to hide some of her abilities, many were aware of them, including her unique eyes, which became especially unusual when she used her powers.
It is rumored that these hypnotic spirals inspired fear in many Awakened People. Few people could stand up to her when she used her abilities. Her abilities worked not only by making direct contact with her eyes, but also by using her Soul Force to look at her.
Therefore, just closing one's eyes and using one's Soul Force to perceive one's surroundings was not enough to protect oneself from it. Only people with strong wills and unique abilities could withstand her mental attacks.
She rightfully ranks seventh among the first hundred awakened ones.
"But what is Queen Irene doing here?" he wondered, listening to her walk past him without paying attention.
The awakened one, overcome with fear, felt his own soul tremble, and he intuitively did not try to use his Soul Force so as not to displease the Queen.
"No one has seen her in person for quite some time, and there were rumors that she probably joined her brother Idan and became part of the Kingdom Guild..." he mused.
"Wait a minute...Kingdom Guild!" he exclaimed, remembering the Guild uniform that Irene was wearing, with the letter "K" emblem.
"It looks like the rumors were true, and she really became a part of her brother's Guild," he thought. "But what is the Kingdom Guild doing in this doomed city?"
While the Awakened One was trying to solve this riddle, he heard a group of people pass by him.
A pleasant scent of perfume immediately hit his nose, and his ears caught whispers and giggles, which indicated that it was a group of girls.
Meanwhile, Irene had already entered the mayor's room. She stared at the owner of the room, who saw hope in her instead of fear.
