Supreme Dragon Lord-Chapter 230: Regretting Too Late!
Seeing so many corpses lying before her, Cai Qing felt a surge of fear.
She immediately stepped forward, clasped her hands, and bowed to Long Chen and Chu Lingjun. "Thank you both for your assistance!" she said. "If it weren’t for your help, I’m afraid I would have..."
At this, Cai Qing shuddered with lingering fear and did not continue, changing the subject instead. "You saved my life. From now on, it belongs to you..."
Before Cai Qing could finish, Chu Lingjun smiled faintly and interrupted her. "Alright, there’s no need to be so solemn."
"I was just lending a hand where I saw injustice. I couldn’t stand by and watch those men prey on defenseless people," she said.
Long Chen remained silent. He took out a bottle of potion and sprinkled its contents over the corpses. With a SIZZLING sound, the bodies instantly dissolved into nothing, as if they had never been there.
A trace of astonishment flickered in Cai Qing’s eyes, but she quickly composed herself. She turned to the nearby Shop Assistant. "Bring out your best wine and food! I want to personally reward my benefactors!"
"Right away!" the Shop Assistant replied, immediately heading for the kitchen.
"There’s no need. We’ve already eaten," Long Chen said coolly. He then turned to Chu Lingjun. "Let’s go."
"Alright." Chu Lingjun nodded, but before she could take two steps, her head suddenly felt heavy, and her body began to sway. Seeing this, Long Chen rushed forward to support her. He then took out an Elixir Pill and had her take it to maintain her Essence Qi.
After taking the Elixir Pill, Chu Lingjun felt much better as the discomfort subsided.
"How do you feel?" Long Chen asked.
"A bit better," she replied with a faint smile. "No serious issues. Still, in my current condition, I’m afraid I won’t last much longer."
"Don’t worry. I won’t let anything happen to you!" Long Chen declared firmly. "I’ll make sure you return to the Martial Ancestor safely!"
"I didn’t realize you had such a severe internal injury," Cai Qing said with a concerned look. "It’s a pity I don’t have the ability to help."
"It’s fine," Chu Lingjun said, shaking her head. If even she and Long Chen were at a loss, what hope was there for an ordinary person?
Suddenly, Cai Qing spoke up. "However, I have heard that a miraculous doctor lives on a nearby mountain. Many people from the surrounding area go to him for treatment."
"A miraculous doctor?" Upon hearing these words, Long Chen immediately looked up at Cai Qing.
"Correct!" Cai Qing nodded slightly. "I’ve heard this doctor has extraordinary medical skills. No matter the illness, as long as you seek his treatment, you will be cured!"
"However, finding him and persuading him to help is no easy task!"
"Are you sure this information is reliable?" Long Chen questioned.
"I’m about ninety percent certain," Cai Qing stated frankly. "I’ve been running this teahouse for several years and serve many guests daily. I’ve overheard this from them."
Long Chen nodded. He then looked at Chu Lingjun and said, "We’re out of options. Whether it’s true or not, I have to try."
"Indeed. Don’t give up on any chance," Cai Qing added. "I believe good people are rewarded with good fortune. You’ll certainly get better!"
"Do you know where he is?" Long Chen asked.
"I have a rough idea," Cai Qing nodded. "I can lead the way!"
"Then let’s go." Long Chen stooped, lifted Chu Lingjun onto his back, and followed Cai Qing toward their destination.
