Chapter 223: Chapter 223: Outbreak of the Divine Demon Eye!

"NO!" Long Chen roared, reaching out to pull Chu Lingjun into his embrace.

At that moment, Chu Lingjun’s face was contorted in pain. She was deathly pale, her body extremely weak. Despite the agony, she managed to force out, "Go... hurry... get out of here..."

"Don’t let anything happen to you! You can’t die!"

Long Chen frantically produced a large number of Healing Pills and fed them to Chu Lingjun. He simultaneously poured a massive amount of his Battle qi into her body, desperate to help her recover.

Seeing this, Shao Zirui erupted in maniacal laughter. "I told you. Today, you will all die at my hands." His sinister gaze locked onto Long Chen. "And now, it’s your turn."

"Go..." Worried for Long Chen’s safety, Chu Lingjun urged him to flee. She barely managed to get the word out before she passed out.

"AHHHH!" Long Chen threw his head back and roared at the heavens.

A terrifying aura exploded from his body, and the ambient temperature plummeted. He slowly began to levitate off the ground as an immensely powerful force surged through his limbs and bones.

"What’s happening?"

"His aura... it’s skyrocketing!"

"How is he doing that?"

The members of the World King Palace stared in shocked disbelief as they felt the pressure emanating from Long Chen.

Shao Zirui’s smile stiffened for a moment before relaxing. He’s all alone. He can’t possibly pose a threat to us. This is nothing more than a final, desperate struggle.

"He’s not worth my time," Shao Zirui said to the two remaining members of the World King Palace. "You two deal with him."

Hearing Shao Zirui’s command, the two men visibly relaxed.

"Don’t be so angry, kid," one of them sneered. "We’ll be sending you to join that woman soon enough!"

With that, the two members of the World King Palace lunged at Long Chen.

Just as their attacks were about to land, Long Chen’s eyes snapped open. His left eye had turned pitch-black, embodying the Demon Path, while his right had become a stark white, embodying the Divine Path. Nothing could obstruct his vision.

ZZZT!

A beam of black and white light erupted from his eyes, piercing straight through the bodies of the two World King Palace members.

"ARGH—!"

The two men let out bloodcurdling screams as the black-and-white light enveloped them.

BANG!

Their bodies were torn asunder, exploding into a fine mist of blood.

Shao Zirui’s brow furrowed, his eyes wide with astonishment. Heterochromatic Eyes! He actually possesses Heterochromatic Eyes! Those two were War King Realm experts, and he killed them in an instant. How bizarre!

No longer daring to underestimate him, Shao Zirui watched Long Chen with renewed caution. Long Chen now radiated a dense, hostile aura, like a demon that had clawed its way out of the depths of Hell. A single glance was enough to send a chill down one’s spine.

"Kid, you’re full of surprises!" Shao Zirui stared intently at Long Chen, a flicker of greed in his eyes. First, he can suppress the Cultivation of others, and now he reveals these rare Heterochromatic Eyes. If I hadn’t pushed him this far, I never would have known he had such amazing techniques. This kid must have a lot of treasures on him! I have to find a way to take them. It would be a true pity to let him die with all those secrets.

Shao Zirui’s hands moved, forming seals, and a glowing Rune Inscription materialized before him. He waved his hand.

BANG!

A spectral Palm Shadow emerged from the rune. Howling winds accompanied the Palm Shadow as it swept toward Long Chen with overwhelming force.

Facing the attack, the light in Long Chen’s eyes intensified as the black and white energies merged into one.

BOOM!

The two forces collided violently, creating a deafening, piercing sound.

"Surrender, kid! It’s your only option!" Shao Zirui roared, pouring more Battle qi into his attack. The Palm Shadow swelled with even greater power.

"You hurt her," Long Chen growled, his eyes glowing with incandescent fury. "I will never forgive you!"

A force powerful enough to shatter Mount Tai surged from him, aimed directly at Shao Zirui.

Shao Zirui’s smug expression vanished, replaced by shock as he felt the power Long Chen unleashed. Cracks spiderwebbed across his Palm Shadow. 𝒻𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝘯𝘰𝑣ℯ𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝘮

BANG!

The construct instantly shattered. The beam of black and white light shot unimpeded toward Shao Zirui. His eyelids twitched violently as he threw up his arms to defend himself, but he was still sent flying, spitting a mouthful of blood.

His qi and blood roiled within him, and his face became a mask of agony. "My eyes!" Shao Zirui shrieked. His vision went completely black as a searing pain shot through his eyeballs, blinding him. Two trails of blood streamed from his ruined sockets.

"Impossible! How could you have possibly injured me?!" Shao Zirui descended into a crazed frenzy, howling in agony.

"Nothing is impossible," Long Chen’s voice was ice-cold as he stared at the blinded man. "Now, leave your life behind!"

As he spoke, another beam of black and white light shot out.

A wave of fear washed over Shao Zirui. He no longer dared to face Long Chen directly and scrambled backward in a hasty retreat. He was blind; in this state, he was helpless. Fleeing was his only option.

"You just wait, kid!" he screamed as he fled. "I’ll repay this debt a hundredfold!"

Once Shao Zirui had fled and the crisis was over, Long Chen’s Divine Demon Eye deactivated. He was overcome by an extreme weakness, completely drained of Combat power, and collapsed to the ground.

What just happened? I’ve never felt the Divine Demon Eye be that powerful before. Maybe I unintentionally unlocked some of its latent potential. And... the mark Liu Teng left on me is gone. It must have been erased by that outburst.

With no immediate answers, Long Chen pushed the thoughts aside. He struggled to his feet and staggered toward Chu Lingjun.

"Sister Chu! Sister Chu, wake up!" he cried, rushing to her side.

He called her name several times, but Chu Lingjun remained motionless. When he reached out to check her pulse, he froze.

He couldn’t feel a single beat.
