Supreme BeastTamer: I Can Copy and Upgrade Skills 10x!-Chapter 676: The 20th Floor: A Succubus
Chapter 676: The 20th Floor: A Succubus
Following Nox’s command, a radiant blue light slowly engulfed the green-skinned demon, and when the light subsided, the familiar sign of infinity appeared on its forehead.
"Now lead us to the teleportation circle," Nox commanded in an authoritative voice.
"Yes, Master." The demon nodded almost like a puppet and started moving.
Jared watched everything happen, his eyes shining with fascination.
The longer he spent with Nox, the more he realized how overpowered the Beast Tamer class was.
"Hey, come on. Let’s head to the next floor."
Nox’s voice soon snapped him out of his dazed state.
"Oh right, right."
With the guidance of the demon lord, the two found the next teleportation circle pretty easily.
And so they moved from floor to floor, defeating all the demons on each level while closing down the portals.
From killing so many demons, Jared had leveled up to 60, while Nox had gained two more levels, reaching Level 102.
During their massacre, Nox noticed that all the demon lords on the first ten floors were below Level 100.
So far, they had not met a foe they couldn’t defeat. However, from the tamed demon lord, Nox learned that a majority of the demons had gone to conquer the human domain—hence the reason they had been swiftly dealing with the demons, as their numbers were greatly reduced.
Soon, they reached the 11th floor.
Even after killing all the lower demons—both children and women alike—the demon lord didn’t show up.
"What does this mean?" Jared asked with a frown on his face.
"The demon lord is most likely in the human domain," replied Nox as his gaze scanned around the wasteland—a result of his destructive attacks.
They proceeded to the next floor.
Yet it was the same thing.
This continued until the 20th floor.
Unlike the other floors, the 20th floor looked more conducive for humans.
There were crude, larger stone buildings spread across the plain, and the demons seemed to have at least something close to civilization.
The previous floors had looked like settlements for barbarians, and only the demon lords possessed a certain level of intelligence.
"We have been fighting non-stop for the past hour. I think we should take a rest now," Nox suggested when he noticed that his mana had depleted slightly.
The 10,000 MP gain he had gotten from his two systems’ evaluation might seem like a huge figure, but with him constantly spamming skills that consumed at least 500-plus MP, if he didn’t manage it properly, it could be depleted in an hour.
Right now, he only had 4,000 MP left.
"Sure. My MP is low as well," Jared said.
The three, including the demon lord, stayed at the outskirts of the demon settlement.
Meanwhile, to get a better view of the city, Nox summoned Blazy, the flaming Emberhawk.
After ordering the demon lord to watch over his body, he used Astral Control. Since this was more like a trait of the Beast Tamer class, it didn’t consume any mana points.
Upon activating the skill, Nox suddenly found himself in the body of the hawk.
From his vantage point, he saw the city and the demons moving about their day.
But what caught his attention was a massive castle built out of obsidian rock.
He flew in that direction. Because he didn’t want to attract the attention of the demons below, Blazy was flying relatively high in the air, and one would have to squint and strain their eyes to see him.
Fortunately, the Emberhawk had excellent eyesight. Even from such a high altitude, its vision was extremely sharp—almost as if one were looking through a telescope.
As it got closer to the castle, it slowly descended. There were no demon guards patrolling the area for some reason.
Blazy perched on a window, its wings folded as it scanned the room. It seemed to have landed in a chamber belonging to royalty or someone of high importance.
It was a massive room with flickering torches at the sides, casting a warm glow around the space and illuminating the golden details and demonic statues on the walls. Nox recognized the statues as the same ones he had seen in some key locations in the capital.
In the middle of this grand chamber was a wide pool filled with transparent pink water, with purple rose petals floating on top.
His eyes glinted—this was the first time he was seeing a pool filled with pink water.
Just as he was about to shift Blazy’s attention to the rest of the room, ripples formed on the surface of the water.
’Something’s coming out...’ Nox narrowed his eyes through Blazy’s vision.
The petals were gently pushed aside as a figure slowly emerged from the pool.
At first, all he could see was the silhouette of a slender, smooth, long leg rising from the glowing liquid like it was sculpted from silk. Then came a waist so narrow it could be wrapped by one hand, and hips that swayed with every motion.
The water shimmered around her as she stood upright, revealing her entire form.
[Level 120 – Greater Demon: Emerald, the Pool of Ecstasy]
’Level 120, huh... she won’t be as easy as the others,’ he thought.
The Greater Demon had a pair of curved, glossy black horns spiraling backward from her temples.
Her skin had a faint glow to it—pale, flawless, and wet. Her eyes opened slowly—irises of deep crimson, glowing with an unnatural light. Her hair cascaded down like a waterfall, and her smile...
That smile wasn’t warm.
The pink water shimmered, almost glowing, as ripples danced across its surface. It was weird. Inviting in the worst kind of way. The kind that made your instincts scream even as your eyes refused to look away.
At that moment, she completely stepped out—in all her full glory. Her body... her body was too perfect. Not the kind of beauty you’d see in real life. This was something sculpted by something unnatural. Something meant to tempt.
Nox had no choice but to forcefully look away, as he felt that if he stared too long, his soul might be captured.
"You don’t need to be shy," the demoness said calmly, slowly turning her head to him.
He didn’t flinch, but Blazy’s eyes widened slightly in disbelief at how easily she had sensed his presence.
The demoness smiled.
Not the kind of smile you wanted to see.
But the kind that made the back of your neck sweat.
"Found you."
