Super Soldier in the City-Chapter 2009 - 2072: Beating You Into a Bald Hawk
"Golden Eagle, today I’m going to beat you into a Bald Eagle!" The bearded man clashed his fists together, making a resounding noise, and strode towards Li Yifei. He relied entirely on brute strength, possessing immense power. Within the organization, there were few whose raw strength surpassed his. Today, they had originally been vacationing in Los Angeles but were temporarily dispatched upon learning that Li Yifei might be in the United States. They flew over just in time.
Facing Li Yifei, the bearded man showed no fear. Though he had never fought Li Yifei, ignorance often breeds fearlessness. He was now filled with fighting spirit, his eyes seemed to burn with fire.
"Take my punch!" The bearded man shouted, stomping his feet heavily with each step forward, producing loud thuds, and then launched a punch towards Li Yifei. Coupled with his massive frame, it truly felt like Mount Tai was crashing down.
Li Yifei stood still, and to outsiders, it seemed as if he was too scared to move, unaware of how to dodge. However, the bearded man knew that Li Yifei remained motionless not because he couldn’t move but because he chose not to, showing contempt towards him.
This made the bearded man even angrier. How could he tolerate such disdain from his opponent? In midair, he took a breath, seeming to unleash yet another burst of strength.
Behind him, three men watched calmly as the bearded man made his move. They believed that even if the bearded man couldn’t defeat Li Yifei, he would not be far off. As for Mig, who had once been as famous as Li Yifei, they saw him as nothing special. Among themselves, they were confident of defeating Mig, so even if Li Yifei had improved, the gap wouldn’t be significant.
Of course, that was their assumption, while Li Yifei still hadn’t moved. Even as the large, vein-bulging fist was only half a meter away from his face, he still didn’t flinch.
Too slow, too weak, Li Yifei thought to himself, shaking his head imperceptibly. As the fist was about to hit his face, he finally moved, but only with one hand, raising his right hand at a moderate speed.
The three behind him also saw clearly. Seeing Li Yifei’s response, a surge of anger rose within them simultaneously. This Golden Eagle was too arrogant, using only one hand. If there had been more time, they might have shouted for him to teach Golden Eagle a harsh lesson.
However, just as this thought emerged, Li Yifei’s slowly raised hand stopped the bearded man’s fist. The punch, which seemed powerful enough to smash through a wall, suddenly halted upon encountering Li Yifei’s palm.
There was no scene of Li Yifei being knocked to the ground or flattened, nor did his arm bend, or shoulder dislocate. The scene seemed frozen. The bearded man hung in the air, maintaining his aggressive posture, eyes fierce as if ready to devour, yet half a second later, the still image broke with a slight cracking sound. Li Yifei’s palm closed, gripping the bearded man’s fist, his arm slightly bending, and the bearded man’s body instantly lost control.
The bearded man’s body, after pausing, flew backward in the opposite direction. However, at that moment, he had no control over his body, as Li Yifei shoved him away with a single hand. The bearded man shouted in surprise, hastily adjusting his body, trying to land and counterattack. The display of Li Yifei’s skills shocked him greatly, but he remained unafraid. Huaxia martial arts had always been strange, and he did not yet believe there was a substantial gap between them, assuming Li Yifei had used some form of Tai Chi to settle him.
Yet, just as this thought formed, Li Yifei’s body not only didn’t move away from him but got closer and closer. He jumped up on the spot, flying towards the bearded man, extending his hand again mid-air.
The bearded man hastily blocked with his arm, sending out a sweeping punch to deflect Li Yifei’s hand. But that hand was like a venomous snake, spitting viciously. The bearded man’s punch missed, quickly dodged by the opponent. As his punch swung past, the opponent’s hand reached back, still targeting his chest.
"Fuck!" The bearded man wanted to curse, but before he could voice it, his chest was seized. Just as his feet touched the ground, his body lost control once more, being grabbed by the clothes and thrown by Li Yifei.
Despite being over two hundred pounds, he was tossed by someone who appeared much shorter, flung out in a semi-circle through the air, then slammed hard into the ground on the other side.
*Thud!* A startling noise echoed, as Li Yifei tossed the bearded man with a special over-the-shoulder throw, leaving him on the ground, and he had managed this with just one hand.
The bearded man, lying on the ground, didn’t make a sound before passing out. 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝔀𝓮𝒃𝙣𝓸𝒗𝒆𝒍.𝙘𝒐𝒎
*Hiss...* A synchronized intake of breath could be heard as the remaining three members of the Holy War Organization collectively gasped, realizing at that moment the true caliber of the Golden Eagle, vastly different from what they had imagined...
Regrettably, their realization came a bit late, as Li Yifei was no longer intending to waste time. The skills of these few people were decent, but Li Yifei didn’t plan on wasting any more time. His figure started moving, charging towards them, stirring a fierce wind in his steps.
The faces of the three opponents changed drastically, each adopting a defensive stance. They hadn’t anticipated Li Yifei’s ferocity and for a moment even considered retreating. After all, the organization had sent them to protect the child and prevent Li Yifei from rescuing him, not to engage in a brutal fight with Li Yifei. If they lost, there would be no one left to stop Li Yifei from saving the child. Even if they survived, the organization wouldn’t spare them lightly, since they had arbitrarily altered the mission.
With this thought in mind, the three urgently mobilized their bodies to counterattack Li Yifei.
The four were soon locked in combat, and it was only in engaging Li Yifei directly that they began to grasp the true terror of this man from Huaxia. His build might not be large, but the vast strength, terrifying speed, and the chilling sensation he provoked were unmistakable.
Faced with this onslaught, Li Yifei still maneuvered with ease, showing no signs of difficulty. Of course, this was only the beginning; within less than half a minute, Li Yifei had fully seized the initiative. With an unrivaled powerful punch, he knocked back the blond curly-haired opponent, even sending him crashing to the ground in astonishment, while the remaining two struggled increasingly. Soon, Li Yifei broke through their defenses one by one, leaving them on the ground, groaning in pain.
Li Yifei hadn’t landed lethal blows, but broken arms and legs were inevitable. The internal injuries inflicted would require a good period of recuperation. After all, Li Yifei was not one to coddle.
With no further hindrances on the stairs, Li Yifei even glimpsed the child’s stroller through the window. He took a deep breath, ignoring the four Holy War Organization members he had just floored, and slowly ascended the steps.
Just as his hand rested on the door, Li Yifei heard the roar of a frenzied engine. Glancing to the side, he saw a massive motorcycle pushing through the entrance. As Li Yifei watched, the bike jolted as if flying through the air, then landed and charged straight ahead, screeching to a halt in front of the villa. A person dismounted, clad in tight leather gear.
"A woman?" Li Yifei furrowed his brow. The person who had dismounted was indeed a woman—considering the unmistakable shape beneath her attire—and she wore high heels, the kind with very long spikes, approximately 1.7 meters in height, a fairly normal stature.
The woman took a long stride from the motorcycle and casually removed her helmet, prompting a brief moment of distraction for Li Yifei. She remarkably resembled the Saintess, bearing an eighty percent likeness in terms of height, figure, and appearance.
Though many foreign women have somewhat similar features, Li Yifei discerned within a second that this woman was not the Saintess. It wasn’t just because of the different attributes; the Saintess had excellent skin and was confident in it, rarely using makeup, whereas this woman from the motorcycle had makeup on, albeit not heavy.
Li Yifei tilted his head slightly, assessing his opponent, who, in turn, assessed him.
Seeing the woman from the motorcycle, the four battered Holy War Organization members immediately gained spirit. They writhed with excitement, rendering a kneeling salute to the woman, crying out, "Mistress, you have arrived."
"Mistress?" Li Yifei raised an eyebrow at this term, hearing it for the first time. While it sounded mysterious, Li Yifei wasn’t worried. Compared to "Saintess," this title lacked a certain gravitas.
In truth, Li Yifei wasn’t mistaken. Though the Mistress ranked fairly high within the Holy War Organization, she couldn’t compare to the Saintess. Essentially, the Mistress was someone who might have once had a chance of becoming a Saintess—a candidate, a pre-Saintess.
Only one Saintess exists within the Holy War Organization. With Little Swallow as the Saintess, others lost their opportunity, and the organization doesn’t foster just one. Those not elected Saintess become Mistresses, which isn’t about serving the Saintess but serving the organization’s deity.
These women, or those like them, possess considerable power, advanced skills, and powerful abilities, yet lack the Saintess title and can’t experience that level of adulation in the organization.
To the four Holy War Organization members on the ground, the Mistress was equally formidable, at least when it came to physical confrontation. All four were essentially unable to gain any advantage before her, with no hope of victory. Thus, upon seeing the Mistress arrive, their hearts surged with endless hope, eager to relay the situation to her.
"Mistress, please intervene and stop the Golden Eagle," the four pleaded in unison.
The Mistress responded softly with a nod, hanging her helmet on the bike and flicking her head lightly, causing her chestnut-colored hair to flutter in the wind. Her eyes had fixed on Li Yifei since she’d dismounted, scrutinizing him closely.
