Chapter 2008: Chapter 2071: Let Him Never Return

Li Yifei rushed out of the airport, grabbed a car, and said sorry to the owner before stepping on the gas and speeding away. The police officer he held had been pushed away by Li Yifei after he was pinpointed at the door.

With the pedal floored, the stolen car sped away, and many people waiting at the airport didn’t react by running away; instead, they craned their necks, thinking it was a movie being filmed. Otherwise, how could they witness scenes of a policeman being held hostage and a car snatched and driven off in real life?

The person who kidnapped the child was just ahead, and Li Yifei already saw the other party’s car, a modified Hummer, while his was just a regular taxi. On the road with few vehicles, Li Yifei hit the accelerator and chased ahead without slowing down.

Inside the Hummer, the subordinate glanced back and saw a taxi speeding towards him, his face changing instantly with fear, hurriedly accelerating to escape. 𝒻𝑟ℯℯ𝑤𝑒𝑏𝑛𝘰𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝒸𝑜𝘮

With two vehicles in a chase on the highway, the police were equally swift in their response. Five minutes later, Li Yifei saw two police cars rushing towards them, trying to intercept. By then, Li Yifei was about to catch up to the Hummer. He rolled down the window and shouted at the Hummer, "Stop the car, hand over the child, and I’ll spare you."

"Fuck you, I don’t believe you! Haha, come chase me, kid, I don’t believe you can outrun my Hummer!" The opponent yelled back, as crazy as ever, rolling down the window partially and cursing at Li Yifei.

A wave of anger surged onto Li Yifei’s face. He wasn’t without means to deal with him; there was a gun on the passenger seat. But Li Yifei couldn’t shoot recklessly; if that Hummer lost control and crashed, the man could die, and the child inside couldn’t be exposed to any danger. So, even as Li Yifei caught up, he didn’t ram the car or fire at the opponent.

"Come on, Golden Eagle, I’ll tell you, they fear you, but I don’t. Who am I? I’m Achilles, I’m the God of War!" The man in the Hummer, appearing deranged, shouted at Li Yifei, even accelerating again. As they reached a curve, Li Yifei quickly slowed down, increased their distance, worried the opponent might rush out if unable to turn timely.

Achilles thought Li Yifei was intimidated, glanced at the rearview mirror, then shouted in joy.

Li Yifei frowned, trailing behind, while police cars continued to join the chase. However, these police cars didn’t dare to drive like Li Yifei, thus quickly falling behind, as more joined the pursuit along the way. They dared not shoot freely like in movies, only following and shouting messages.

Li Yifei glanced at the navigation system. They were about to enter a straight road, with broad sides and fewer vehicles. Li Yifei thought it was a good opportunity, but alas, once his car entered the straight path, he saw the Hummer crazily accelerating, swinging its head, and crashing through the guardrail, rushing off the road.

"Damn it!" Li Yifei was intensely worried about his child, seeing the opponent disregard danger to rush off-road. He had no choice but to follow, needing to angle correctly as his car had a low chassis and a ditch off the road.

Luckily, the car directly went over the ditch, Li Yifei floored the accelerator chasing after.

The police cars were not as lucky, trailing behind, they tried to rush through but got stuck, two vehicles even crashing into each other.

With one vehicle fleeing and another chasing, they quickly ran several kilometers. The Hummer’s performance showed fully, and though Li Yifei tried hard to chase, in this terrain, his car was at such a disadvantage. Several times he nearly crashed; without his excellent driving skills, hope to catch up to the child would have been lost.

Over ten minutes later, Li Yifei saw the Hummer rush into a manor, and he chased in. Upon turning a corner, he saw the Hummer slow down and stop before a villa. A line of people already stood there, some holding guns, aiming at Li Yifei’s car, and before he could approach, they fired.

Li Yifei kicked open the car door, released the steering wheel, and jumped toward the roadside greenery. The car, riddled with bullet holes, continued moving forward, forcing those people to dodge as the taxi crashed into the Hummer and then stopped.

"Where’s the person?" The gunmen divided into two groups, one searching the taxi, the other heading to where Li Yifei jumped, beginning to search. The trees in the yard were not many, one could see quite far in one glance, but Li Yifei had already fled far; how could they see him?

After dashing out, Li Yifei certainly wouldn’t leave. Instead, he circled halfway around, coming to the other side of the villa. The pursuers had expanded their search range, yet Li Yifei’s side was dense with trees. Li Yifei hid atop a large tree, eyeing two gunmen advancing. When passing under his tree, Li Yifei jumped down and knocked them unconscious, concealed them well, then pressed on.

Continuously disabling the searchers, Li Yifei slowly approached the villa. At this point, the villa occupants sensed something amiss, the dispatched subordinates went silent, one after another.

"What does headquarters mean? Are we just going to take the hit and not fight back?" Inside the villa, several influential individuals gathered together, and one of them couldn’t help but say.

"You ask me, who should I ask? I received orders to back up that kid and not let the Golden Eagle take them, but who knew that waste not only failed to shake off the Golden Eagle but also led him here." A man with golden curly hair said.

"Damn it, I don’t care. If he dares come in, I’ll shoot him dead with a burst of bullets, holy maiden or not, the hell with it. If he dares to show off in the United States, I’ll make him come here with no return." A black man hefted his M16 assault rifle, looking disgruntled.

"Haha, folks, let’s not underestimate ourselves. We are elite members of the organization, even candidates for future elders. The opponent is just one person, so there’s no need to be overly worried. If he dares to come in, we should not fear him." The last man with a beard rubbed his chin, his eyes filled with a fierce light. Mentioning battle stirred within him a murderous aura.

Li Yifei was unaware of these people waiting for him inside the villa. After settling the people outside, he checked the time. An hour had passed, and just as he was thinking about the next step, several people walked out from the villa. They were the very individuals who had been discussing earlier in the villa. As soon as the man with golden hair emerged, he looked up and yelled, "Golden Eagle, come out! What’s the skill of sneaking around against ordinary people? Come out, I’ll spar a few rounds with you."

This man’s face clearly had European and American features, yet his speech was in authentic Chinese, which even made Li Yifei slightly surprised. However, since he had been challenged, Li Yifei couldn’t back down. He listened, then jumped down from the tree, lightly landing, and drifted several meters forward until he was facing them.

Li Yifei sensed the extraordinariness of these individuals, their eyes squinted as they watched him drift several meters with each step, alert at heart. Although they too could manage several meters in a step, they needed to push forward for it. During a run, they could dash out ten meters easily, but to float several meters forward with each gentle step like Li Yifei was extremely hard.

This was Huaxia’s light-footed kung fu, a result of Li Yifei’s enormous True Qi support, something these foreigners couldn’t understand. The man with golden curls remarked, "Is it light-footed kung fu?"

"Oh, what, so you want to stop me?" Li Yifei halted about ten meters in front of them, his hands still behind his back, legs slightly apart. During this pause, he had forced out the poison from his right hand. The poison was indeed fierce, even dripping onto leaves produced sizzling sounds, corroding them.

Only Li Yifei could do this; someone with a lower achievement might have been poisoned by it.

Li Yifei looked at these individuals, naturally feeling no fear. He knew that the child was in the villa. Earlier, while on the tree, he could even see the stroller through the window, probably where the child had been hidden.

"Golden Eagle, don’t be too arrogant. You’re number one in Huaxia, but in the United States, you might not be so great." The man with golden hair glanced at his companions, scraped his shoe heel, and said.

Li Yifei sneered and said, "I’ll repeat the same thing: I had no intention of having a squabble with the Holy War Organization. You’re the ones who provoked me first, stole my child; now I’m here to take my child back."

"You say you want it, and we just give it to you? That would be utterly shameful," the man with golden curls said, quoting a movie line.

"Haha, alright, don’t blame me then." Li Yifei’s expression returned to calm, his eyes subtly flashing with coldness. He understood the current situation, where they would not kill him but neither would they hand over the child. Yet, Li Yifei was determined to take his child back this time, not letting him wander outside again.

"Blame you? Haha, Golden Eagle, everyone says you’re a master, but to me, you’re just so-so. Look at what you’ve done, attacking ordinary people!" The golden-haired curly man continued his sarcastic remarks in Chinese.

After speaking, the bearded man beside the golden-haired man stepped forward, making stomping sounds as his feet landed on the ground. Evidently, he was an expert specializing in strength, possessing a powerful aura. His eyes glared at Li Yifei, his rather thick lips parted as he lifted a finger to point at Li Yifei, saying, "Gold, let me test out this guy’s skill first!"

The man with golden curls nodded, saying, "Alright, go fight him. Coming to our country, there’ll be a price to pay!"

Then go fight, Li Yifei remained silent, eyes slightly squinting, quietly watching the bearded man walk towards him.

The other three retreated a little, exchanged a look among themselves, seemingly already agreed on it. Li Yifei worried they were delaying time, so he struck at 70% strength right from the start.
