Super Soldier in the City-Chapter 1910 - 1975: Entering Afghanistan
At this time, these terrorists actually collaborated... After hearing about it, Li Yifei also felt it was a bit tricky.
Certain places in the Middle East and Africa are arguably the most dangerous in the world today; nowhere else is as perilous.
Li Yifei led a team of less than a hundred, daring to engage in deep combat. One, he was skilled and bold; two, he was determined that these anti-government forces were against the government, rejected by the nation, leaving them isolated. Unexpectedly, as soon as the news spread, other organizations actually backed Muhan’s Revenge Organization.
After pondering for a moment, Li Yifei tapped his fingers on the submachine gun in his arms and said to a few key leaders, "What do you all think?"
Sophia would, of course, follow Li Yifei. Whether it’s to eliminate terrorists or if it’s the most dangerous place in the world, as long as Li Yifei said so, she would definitely go without a word.
As for the others... mercenaries essentially risk their lives for money; some are typical war maniacs, many are retired soldiers who didn’t have their fill of military life and came to the Middle East to handle weapons daily and often have battles to fight, earning money for their families even if they die...
Li Yifei knew that at least six or seven mercenaries in his team had a mental disorder called veteran syndrome, a stress-related psychological condition. Normally they were regular people, but when triggered, they would suddenly erupt. These individuals were out of place in the ordinary world, even unacceptable to regular folks, but here in the Middle East, their condition improved significantly.
So these people were willing to fight alongside Li Yifei as long as there were battles to fight, they were willing.
On Ayurhan’s side, no one quit either. These people were also fanatical, especially after benefiting, they were even more unwilling to quit. After inquiries, no one withdrew, and several lightly injured people also expressed their willingness to fight alongside Li Yifei desperately.
Then Li Yifei expressed, "Since everyone is willing to follow me, let’s keep fighting, but we need to adjust the plan for the next operation!"
"We all listen to you!" everyone said.
"Very good," Li Yifei smiled and said.
Over the next half-day, Li Yifei gathered, analyzed, and reorganized the information collected, and then formulated a new battle plan. Since some dare to defy, wanting to aid Muhan’s Revenge Organization, Li Yifei wouldn’t mind conveniently removing that organization. In the eyes of many organizations, the Americans were the primary enemy, and they were reluctant to target this mysterious group. They had to offer support to Muhan’s Revenge Organization.
After Li Yifei spent two days breaking up several groups of dozens, causing severe losses, forcing them to flee for their lives, those people and organizations finally realized that Li Yifei and his team were extraordinarily strong, insanely strong even with few numbers, but their combat capabilities were immense. Often, before reaching attack range, many of their people were already killed, all shot by sniper rifles with unmatched accuracy.
Initially, they thought the opponents had numerous snipers for long-range combat, but reports revealed that their numbers were few, dismissing any notion of having many snipers. 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝕨𝕖𝗯𝚗𝚘𝕧𝕖𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝕞
With elite soldiers, Li Yifei’s team possessed extreme maneuverability, often fighting here and shortly moving to another location, with mobility far surpassing that of local terrorists, and were even more familiar with the terrain.
After several tough battles, Li Yifei’s side had only lost two people, whereas the enemy had over a hundred dead, even as a conservative estimate.
Li Yifei had also advanced into Afghanistan, where the situation was even more dangerous. At this time, they were just two hundred miles away from another camp of Muhan’s Revenge Organization. By quick marching, it would take less than three hours to reach. Li Yifei ordered a temporary rest, to eat, and replenish ammunition.
The opposition didn’t hide. According to reports, they had 300 to 500 active combatants, which was five to six times Li Yifei’s numbers, and their weapons were more advanced as well.
The opposition set up in a manner, ready for a head-on fight with Li Yifei, which made Li Yifei hesitate. It’s inadvisable to go directly, as it could be a trap.
After analysis with several leaders, Li Yifei decided to maneuver a bit, as they were few and the conditions here were exceptionally complex. Going directly might lead them into a trap, so the best method was to catch the opponent off-guard.
With the decision made, Li Yifei led his subordinates into the mountains, thanks in part to the people on Ayurhan’s side. They frequently enter Afghanistan and are more familiar with the situation here than in Pakistan, providing Li Yifei with a lot of useful information.
Half a day later, Muhan’s Revenge Organization members found they had lost sight of the enemy, who had seemingly vanished. Initially two hundred miles away, now they were nowhere to be found.
Several leaders within the organization gathered to discuss strategies, opting not to leave or evade, intending to confront the opposing party directly. They had plenty of weapons and personnel, whereas the enemy... reportedly no more than a hundred, so they weren’t afraid. Even though this under-a-hundred crew had just attacked their base in Pakistan without leaving a single survivor, they still didn’t fear.
For the organization’s honor, they had to exact revenge, kill those conceited, damn people. For this purpose, they spared no expense in deploying a host of stockpiled weapons, including many large weapons acquired from the military. They even had tanks and two armed helicopters, loaded with live ammunition, including onboard missiles, albeit the smallest kind, but still amazingly powerful.
And that’s not all, these people even had two missile launch vehicles, also equipped with missiles, though they couldn’t fire them due to the complexity of operations, having been intercepted from the U.S. military...
Li Yifei’s sudden disappearance left Muhan’s Revenge Organization without a target. They couldn’t understand how, on their own turf, they lost track of the enemy. Did these people flee?
According to reports, those people had not left Afghanistan, still somewhere in this mountainous area, but vehicle tracks should leave traces. Failing to locate them, they could only strengthen defenses, increasing manpower, and offering substantial bounties. Anyone providing clues, especially valid ones, could earn five thousand dollars, and directly finding the other party would bring twenty thousand dollars; this promise would absolutely be honored.
A day later, Muhan’s Revenge Organization received a clue. A report came in saying that the enemy’s traces were found a hundred and fifty kilometers west of their camp. Muhan’s Revenge Organization leaders quickly dispatched people to verify the information, confirming the enemy indeed covertly moved west, prompting immediate action, deploying a hundred people to form an elite team, gearing up to strike proactively.
Half a day later, this hundred-strong unit arrived there, only to find nothing, merely discovering several corpses, those of their previously dispatched scouts. The reconveyed news to the camp led the leaders to order immediate pursuit.
Pursuit... One of the leaders within this hundred-man team, a longtime combatant within the organization, experienced and educated, having even studied Huaxia’s military tactics, and aware of the thirty-six stratagems. Yet after searching thoroughly, he found no places to track; the enemy left no traces apart from these few of their own dead...
By afternoon, Muhan’s Revenge Organization received another report about the enemy, this time spotted a hundred and fifty kilometers east. The leaders were perplexed; how could those people kill in the west in the morning and move to the east in the afternoon, covering a straight-line distance of three to four hundred kilometers? It’s impossible for so many people to move unnoticed.
But given the tip, they sent another investigative team, instructing them to avoid heavy confrontation and only ascertain the enemy’s whereabouts.
This team took several hours to reach the location, quickly reporting encountering the enemy. The camp immediately withdrew their orders to avoid conflict, given their small numbers.
As soon as the order went out, the squad’s leader was blown apart, cutting off communications. Awaiting them were three missiles, not launched by Li Yifei, but from two military drones.
That team was truly unlucky. They didn’t spread out, but clustered together, leading the missiles to directly explode among them without any reaction time, instantly obliterating them.
The mission-accomplished drones filmed the scene and headed back. On a distant hilltop, a few people emerged from the shelter, dusting themselves off. Ayurhan extended a hand to a tall American beside him, who returned the gesture with a smile, shaking hands, Ayurhan said, "Thank you for your support."
"No worries, Golden Eagle paid, we just handle the launch. Luckily, the mission was completed." The other lightly shook his head and said.
Simultaneously, the westward camp team also suffered strikes. Two missiles landed, killing half of the roughly hundred-member crew, leaving many injured, with less than thirty combat-capable. They were left stunned, not having encountered such an attack in years, clueless about the situation.
By the time they reacted, it was too late. Armored vehicles charged across the flat terrain, spraying bullets as if they cost nothing. Those barely surviving the missile attack were shredded by high-caliber bullets.
In the end, less than five of the hundred survived, all severely injured. The lead commander was also immediately killed; otherwise, the team wouldn’t have been annihilated without any resistance.
