Thinking of preparing the medicinal wine, Peter Brown rushed towards the hill.

He needed the herbal medicine from Quinn Walker.

When Peter arrived at the hill, he felt somewhat awkward, wondering how to handle the encounter with Quinn.

“Mr.

Brown, all the major constructions on the hill are almost completed, and the enclosure wall at the foot of the hill is finished as well.

This area will be a private domain from now on.

Let me know if you think there’s anything that needs to be adjusted.” Denzel Evans called out from a distance as he saw Peter approaching and asked for his opinion as they walked.

Peter was quite satisfied with the construction speed of Denzel and his team and nodded, “That’s great, you guys have worked fast.”

“Other than the main buildings, it’s easy to work on other parts,” Denzel said, somewhat proud.

“Mr.

Denzel, the road construction might start soon, and you guys should be prepared.

I’ll try to get you the contract for it.

It’s probably a two-way, four-lane road now.

Can you handle it?”

“Ah!”

Denzel’s eyes brightened up as this meant another lucrative deal.

He quickly assured Peter, “Don’t worry, Mr.

Brown, we can handle it without any problems.”

“That’s great.

I’ll put in a word for you when the time comes.”

After all, Peter had a say in the construction projects this time.

Denzel was even more delighted and accompanied Peter while explaining what they had done so far.

After touring around with Denzel, they unknowingly arrived at the herb planting area.

As soon as they reached, Quinn came out to greet Peter and said with teary eyes, “Peter.”

Recognizing the situation, Denzel excused himself, “I’ll leave you two alone now and get back to work.”

With that, he left.

“Peter, don’t you like me?” Quinn’s eyes seemed to be filled with tears.

Peter hurriedly replied, “I do!

Don’t overthink it.”

Hearing this, Quinn’s eyes lit up, “Really?”

Peter was genuinely afraid of this beautiful girl’s effect on him, so he quickly said, “Yes, really.

By the way, I need some herbal medicine.

Do you have any ready?”

Quinn flashed a flirtatious glance at Peter and replied with a smile, “Of course.

As soon as I saw Mr.

Gibson’s car arriving, I started preparing it.

We have collected quite a lot of herbs in the hill during this time.”

Peter said, “That’s great; I always trust you with this kind of work.

I’ll leave it all to you in the future.” Peter was quite satisfied with Quinn’s initiative.

Feeling more natural now, he asked, “Has your mother moved here yet?”

“My mom is afraid that you won’t like me and will drive me away, so she doesn’t dare to move here.”

Peter couldn’t help but be scared of Quinn’s beauty and said, “You should have her move here.

Although it’s on the hill, it’s surrounded and quite safe.”

“I’ll listen to you, Peter.”

Quinn looked at Peter flirtily again and walked right into the warehouse with him.

Peter found the warehouse filled with herbal medicine.

He selected enough herbs for about two hundred jars and turned to Quinn, “Please find some people to help me carry these down the hill.”

Quinn agreed.

Having assigned the task, Peter hurriedly ran down the hill.

Quinn stomped her foot as she watched Peter, who seemed to be afraid of her.

But a smile emerged on her lips.

Now, Quinn was in a great mood, as her mother’s health had improved significantly after a bath.

She could even get out of bed—something that Quinn hadn’t expected.

Quinn’s feelings for Peter were a mix of gratitude and admiration.

Since she had made up her mind to follow Peter, she was relieved to learn he didn’t detest her.

By now, Peter was adept at preparing the medicinal wine.

After the herbal medicine arrived, Raven Walter and his family members surrounded the room where Peter began mixing the medicine, package by package.

Once everything was mixed, Peter poured the prepared medicine into each jar, completing the preparation of two hundred jars of wine.

“It’s done.”

Upon hearing Peter, Raven called everyone inside the room and carefully inspected each jar before nodding, “Is it good enough?”

“Of course, it is.”

Liza Smith laughed, “Your father is really something, making such a fuss about preparing wine as if he’s committing a crime!”

“Yeah, Dad really seems to think that someone will betray Peter,” Kate said while pouting.

Raven Brown pointed at the jars and said, “Today, I asked Mr.

Gibson himself about the price of each jar.

How much do you think Peter sells them for?”

He looked at Peter and said, “You’ve been hiding it from me!”

Peter laughed and replied, “I did not want to scare you!”

Raven nodded vigorously, “Today, you really scared the hell out of me.

Goodness gracious!”

Liza Smith said, “What’s the big deal?

It’s just 200 dollars a jar.”

“Yeah, Dad, don’t make a fuss about it.

There are about two hundred jars, which comes to forty thousand dollars, that’s all.

Why do you look so shocked?” By now, Kate had somewhat broadened her horizons and could stay calm with such amounts.

Raven snorted and said, “You guys were deceived by Peter; it isn’t 200 dollars a jar.

Today, I asked Mr.

Gibson himself.

Goodness gracious, Peter earns one hundred thousand dollars for each jar!”

“What?”

“Huh?”

The two women were shocked and stared at Peter.

Peter smiled and said, “I knew you both would react like this.

I was just afraid it would be too shocking.”

“Peter, is it true?”

“My gosh, brother!

So two hundred jars mean twenty million dollars?” Kate could not stay calm any longer, her eyes wide open as she stared at her brother, equally shocked by the revelation.

With a smile, Peter said, “They all need it.

Actually, I didn’t want to charge that much, but they said that if they sold the wine for one hundred thousand dollars per jar, they would still make a huge profit.

So, I can’t really do anything about it.”

“Peter, can the wine really be worth that much money?”

“It depends on who needs it.

For many people, it’s worthless, but for those who need it, it’s worth a fortune.

Anyway, if they want it, I’ll provide it.”

Now that the prices were clear, Peter smiled at his family and said, “I’ll give each of you a million dollars.

I’ll put it on a card for each of you, and you can use it however you like.”

Peter knew giving them too much might make them uneasy, so he decided to give them a smaller amount.

Despite this, Peter could still see that everyone seemed quite dazed.

Shaking his head, Peter knew rural people had never seen so much money and that they would need time to adapt.
