Substitute Wife for the Mafia King R18-Chapter 87: My Dear Husband
“What?!” I yelled as I bolted upright on the bed.
My eyes snapped open before I started looking around. The room was dark but that wasn’t what really mattered at that moment. Memories of the dinner that I had with Bradon last night, the deal that we made, and the passionate way he ravished my body all came flooding back.
Why did I think that it was all just a dream?
The answer to the question was really quite obvious. Since everything seemed so unreal and unimaginable even in my wildest dreams, my brain must have somehow brushed it off as nothing but exactly that while I was sleeping.
“Bradon...” I murmured while I tried to sort out my disoriented thoughts.
While trying my best to ignore the ache in my lower abdomen and between my legs, I swung my legs off the bed and headed directly for the closet. I had no idea what time it was or how I ended up on the bed, but I knew that I needed to talk to Bradon before he left for work because if I missed him then I wasn’t sure when I would see him again.
I still don’t have his phone number...
“This is so sad...” I muttered to myself before I reached to pull open the wardrobe.
At that point in time, I couldn’t care less what I wore. With the intent to put on whatever I could get my hands on first, I reached into the closet onto to find that nothing inside was as I had expected. None of the clothes in there were my clothes. To be even more precise, all the clothes were men suits and on top of that, they were all black.
“Black...?” I exclaimed as my eyes widened.
Why are there nothing but black suits here?
Suddenly, there was a knock on the door that made me almost jump out of my skin. The atmosphere felt so spooky when I was forced to realize that I had woken up in a room that wasn’t my usual one.
“Y-Yes?” I called out as I started to panic a little.
“Diana, are you up yet?” Jenna’s familiar voice called out to me from the other side of the door.
“Yes, I am...” I replied before opening the door.
Once again, my body wasn’t exactly presentable so all I did was pop my head out to show her that I was indeed present.
“I see. I suggest that you hurry up and get dress now. You should head downstairs,” she said with a polite smile.
“Before that, where is this? I mean...this room. Whose room is this? This isn’t my room...” I asked while also noting that I seemed to be talking in circles.
“Of course, this isn’t your room. This is Master Bradon’s bedroom,” she replied with a straight face.
This is...Bradon’s bedroom?
“Right...it’s his room...” I murmured as I tried to process that piece of information.
“Please come down soon, Master Bradon is waiting for you,” she informed me.
“Why didn’t you tell me that earlier? He’s still here? He’s waiting for me?!” I asked question after question so rapidly while failing to contain my shock.
“Yes...” she murmured with a surprised look on her face.
“You go down there right now and make sure that he doesn’t go anywhere until I arrive, ok?” I instructed hurriedly.
“Sure, I can do that but first you should take your clothes...” she said as she lifted up the clothes that she had on hangers in her hand.
“Thank you. You’re awesome at what you do,” I complimented her hastily before grabbing the hangers from her hand and retreating back into the room.
...
Although I wished I had the time to snoop around Bradon’s bedroom, getting dressed and heading down to see him was my first priority. I had no idea why he had taken me to his bedroom instead of my own but that didn’t matter anymore.
I literally ran down the stairs barefoot and I was huffing and puffing a little when I arrived in the living room where Bradon was waiting for me. Jenna gave me a reassuring smile before nodding her head slightly to tell me that he was indeed still waiting for me there.
“Thank you...” I whispered as I walked past her.
“You got up quite late...” he said sternly without even looking my way.
Just as always, Bradon was already up and dressed in his black suit. He looked like a very dangerous and stern king as he sat on the luxurious sofa with his legs crossed leisurely as his beautiful fingers flipped through a paper document.
I slept with this man last night...again...
“I’m not a morning person...” I mumbled before plopping myself down on a sofa opposite where he was seated.
Despite the fact that he had stayed in and waited for me to wake up, he didn’t say anything to me at all. His attention was focused on the work in front of him and all I could do was watch the graceful movement of his beautiful hands and fingers as they moved about. It never failed to amaze me how someone as dangerous and rough as he was could possess such beauty and grace all at the same time.
“Bradon...” I called his name softly to get his attention.
Brandon did not even shift his gaze my way. We were so close so there was no way that he couldn’t hear me so that meant that I was simply being ignored. I had to admit that when I heard from Jenna that Bradon was waiting for me, I had a small hope that things might have smoothed over between us because of our deal and that he may even take me outside of the mansion for the day. It wasn’t a crime for a girl to get her hopes up, right?
Is he just going to ignore me again?
“Husband dear!” I called out to him in my sweetest and high-pitch voice.
