Chapter 328: She’s Back

I was slightly disappointed that he didn’t come with a new game to teach me that day, but I had nothing to complain about. Since I wasn’t allowed to leave the hospital, my days when Bradon wasn’t around usually involved browsing social media using my phone or doing some online shopping to ease my boredom. It was extremely challenging to keep updating Diana’s social media channel now that I was stuck in the hospital.

Diana wasn’t supposed to be in the hospital, so I couldn’t exactly post photos of myself in my hospital gown to show to the world. After missing a few days of posting on social media, Diana’s followers began feeling restless, and I received countless comments expressing their hopes that Diana was doing well. Diana’s followers were not used to her absence from social media and were undoubtedly looking forward to getting updates. I had gotten used to the number of notifications that would pop up on Diana’s social media channel. Although it wasn’t anything to be proud of, I could accurately say that my social media account also received a very similar number of notifications each day.

After being absent from social media for a while because I finally didn’t have much to update since all I did was spend my days in the hospital room, I was pleasantly surprised when I noticed a huge influx in notifications from Diana’s social media accounts. At first, I didn’t think much about it, and it was purely out of curiosity that I opened the social media application to check. All the recent interactions and comments were associated with a new video that had been posted. Normally, that wouldn’t be an unusual occurrence; however, my heart dropped to my feet before bouncing back up into my chest again when I quickly opened up the newest video that had been posted on Diana’s social media account.

It can’t be. What is this?

I was shocked at what I was seeing, and for a moment, it didn’t register with me that this was really happening. My mind struggled to believe what I was seeing with my very own eyes. At first glance, what had happened seemed impossible, but on second thought, there was only one explanation that could explain what had happened. I stared with wide eyes as the video kept on playing and then repeating itself. The video didn’t have any significant or unusual meaning. It was just Diana wearing a flowing flowery pattern dress while she twirled around, laughing as if she was having the time of her life in the middle of a garden. My heart raced in my chest as my head started to throb in pain. I immediately recognized that garden as one of my sister’s favorites.

There was only one inescapable explanation that could explain how that video suddenly popped up on Diana’s social media. After all, if I hadn’t posted that video and it wasn’t me that was laughing gleefully while spinning around in a flowery dress in the middle of the garden, then it had to be my twin sister that was in the video and it also had to be her who had posted it. One of the reasons why Diana’s social media account was so popular was because everyone knew that she managed the social media account herself. All the content was created by her, and she would sometimes directly interact with her audience by responding and reacting to their comments. Of course, that was before she ran away with the supposed true love of her life and before I took over managing her account in secret.

My entire body stiffened, and then suddenly I felt very cold when I realized that the garden was smack in the center of the city, so if that video was taken right now or recently, it could only mean one thing: Diana is back. She’s already back in the city and she’s not bothering to hide it.

Why did she come back?

Why didn’t she contact me?

While I was still in a state of shock, I heard someone calling my name. I looked up in the direction of the voice to find Bradon staring down at me with a clearly worried look on his face. That was when I realized that I had been too absorbed into figuring out my sister’s whereabouts and her unexpected return to the city that I didn’t hear him entering the room, nor did I hear him call my name.

"Dahlia, what’s wrong?" Bradon asked as he brought his face closer to inspect mine.

Slowly, he reached out a hand towards my face, but I looked away as my brows drew together into a frown. I could not concentrate on whatever Bradon was doing because my mind was too preoccupied with figuring out what my sister was up to and what I should do to get in touch with her. It did occur to me that that video could have been taken from the time before Diana left the city, but if that was the case, there was no reason why Diana would suddenly post it on her social media, given that she was still in hiding. There should have been no reason why she would bring attention to herself that way, especially when she knew that I had taken her place and that included managing her social media accounts.

I sucked in a deep breath and closed my eyes before letting it out slowly. My lips curved up into a knowing smirk before I let out a soft laugh. I should have known that my sister was going to do something like this, it was as if she was trying to get back at me for what I had done. Although there were no bad intentions, and it was probably meant as a joke, I realized that my sister must have been mirroring my actions from when I posted on my social media to announce to her that I was back in the country. If I was right and that was the case, then it could only mean one thing: Diana is now back in the country and she wants to see me.
