Chapter 318: Awaiting My Return

I don’t know, you look quite tired, he said as he kept on Staring at my face.

“I’m fine. How many times do I have to tell you this?” I said with a mocking tone of annoyance.

Desmond probably didn’t want to get on my bad side, so he decided to take my word for what it is before escorting me to the car.

...

I hadn’t realized just how tired I was until I was alone in the car on my way back to Bradon’s mansion. It felt like I closed my eyes momentarily, but when I opened them again the car was already parked right in front of the mansion. My body felt slightly heavy and sluggish from sleep, but the short nap that I had in the car definitely made me feel better. I must have been so tired that I fell asleep in the car without even realizing it. I walked into the mansion while taking extra care not to trip over the high heels that I had on with the intent of heading directly to my bedroom to catch up on some sleep.

I felt my body tremble slightly when I walked into the mansion because it felt like I had walked into a monster’s den with the intense gaze that I felt on me.

“You’re finally back...” Bradon said as he stepped out of the shadows.

I almost jumped in shock because I hadn’t expected him to be waiting up for me to return. It wasn’t even that late at night, although I felt like more than a week had passed since I attended the event with Desmond. My heavy eyelids suddenly felt lighter as adrenaline pumped through my body while I watched Bradon strode over to stand directly in front of me. I looked up into his face hesitantly to find him staring down directly at my face. I had no idea why I was so consumed with guilt when our eyes meant when I thought that I had done nothing wrong.

“You’re still up? Have you been waiting for me?” I asked because I didn’t have anything better to say.

“I thought you might not come home after running off like that...” Bradon replied with a cold edge to his voice.

I knew that he was referring to how I suddenly took off from our private dinner date earlier to join Desmond at another event. I wanted to explain to him that it was inevitable and that it felt like it was just part of my job and something that I had to do. If I could choose, I would have a relaxing dinner with him before quickly returning to the mansion so that I could finally rest.

“I promised to stay here, so of course I came back...” I replied as I tried to remain calm before smiling a little at him.

Instead of replying to me, Bradon was silent and I could feel his gaze traveling downwards from my face to my neck, and then my chest, and then the entire length of my body as he took in the outfit that I had on. I shuffled uncomfortably on my feet when I realized that I should have gotten changed before coming back to the mansion. I felt so sick and drained of energy, that the idea completely slipped my mind. Neither did I know that Bradon would be waiting for me to come back home.

“Did he make you wear this dress?” Bradon asked and I could tell he wasn’t pleased.

“I forgot to bring the dress along to the event. Thankfully, Desmond had something arranged. I guess I can’t turn up to the event as Dahlia while wearing a dress that Diana wore earlier in the day, right?” I asked while I tried to keep my tone light.

I had no idea why Bradon was asking these questions, and I had no idea why I was bothering to explain myself to him.

“If there’s nothing else, I’d like you to excuse me. I’m feeling a little tired...” I said to excuse myself as I tried to walk past him.

I felt his presence directly behind me for a split of a second before his arms wound themselves around my waist and pulled me back against his hard frame. My heart jumped in my chest as I turned my head back to get a glimpse of his face as I wondered what he was about to do.

“Bradon,...” I murmured his name softly.

I found myself locked up in his arms and I felt too weak to struggle against him.

“You look very enticing. Did you wear this dress to seduce Desmond?” He whispered right into my ear.

I could feel his warm breath tickling my earlobe as his words sent a tremor running through my body. His arms tightened slightly across my abdomen and I felt my core clench automatically.

“Of course not,” I quickly replied as I tried my best to ignore the way that my body had started reacting to his close proximity.

“Then, did you wear it to seduce me?” Bradon asked as he sounded half serious and half playful.

Before I could reply to him, his large manly hand cupped one of my breasts boldly before he started massaging it over the fabric of my dress. He pressed my body backwards against him and I could feel his hardness pressing up against my back.

“I can already see your boobs as if they’re begging for my attention...” he whispered seductively into my ear while at the same time his hand slid under my dress to cup my breasts directly. 𝙛𝒓𝒆𝙚𝒘𝒆𝓫𝙣𝓸𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝒄𝒐𝓶

The heat of his hand felt so hot on my cool skin, and I could feel my nipples immediately hardened at his tempting caress. He massaged my breasts a little rougher than before as I tried my best to keep myself from making whimpering sounds. Brother please, I played it in a voice that sounded so weak. It felt like he took my plea in another way as his fingertips moved to capture the hardened perk of my breast in between them.
