Chapter 908: Chapter 908 : Night under the stars

*Leo*

My eyes burned as I stared at the wall of surveillance footage in front of me. They flickered back and forth to each of the cameras as I searched for any kind of unusual activity. Exhausted, my body creaked in protest, stiff from not moving after hours of this, and even the edges of my vision had turned blurry due to the harsh blue screens.

Maybe doing this in the dark wasn’t the best idea.

I sighed, doubts beginning to fill my mind after hours of nothing. It had been a whole week since any sighting of Michaels’ men and the longer that went by, the more nervous I became. He wasn’t the type of man to give up.

He was planning something. I just needed to know what it was.

“Alright, I’ve had enough,” a voice snapped behind me and I groaned, shutting my eyes in pain as the bright fluorescent lights were turned on.

“Are you trying to blind me?” I growled at whoever had interrupted me, blinking my watering eyes rapidly until I could see Franky staring over at me with the deepest scowl I’d seen.

He threw his phone straight onto the desk in front of me and I frowned at it, struggling to interpret its meaning until the screen lit up with an incoming call.

The Caller ID is labeled ‘Leo’s Girl’.

“Bianca?” I asked confused.

“She’s been calling me nonstop because your phone has apparently died while you’ve been here. Now, get off your ass, fix yourself up, and go the fuck home,” I’d never seen Franky as angry as he was now.

I checked my own phone in my pocket and sure enough, it was dead. Had I really been here that long?

I frowned then sighed as I turned to Franky. “I’m–”

“I don’t want to hear it. Out.” His cold voice sent shivers down my spine as he pointed straight at the door. “And if I see you here one more time in the next two days, I’m going to burn this place to the ground.”

Thoroughly chastened, I nod furiously and sluggishly get to my feet. I hadn’t even realized how unsteady I was until I nearly tripped and I had to grab onto the nearest chair for help. Even then, I was still wobbling as my legs screamed out in pain from being stuck in one position for too long.

I get my bearings slowly and then nod at Franky in thanks as I head out. I try to sort everything out in my head on the drive home. I slowly wake up now that I’m not glued to the screens and I realize what an asshat I’ve been to both Franky and Bianca.

I was just so terrified of losing Bianca. That Michael will get his hands on her and there will be nothing I can do. I need to find him and kill him before that happens. Before Bianca can get hurt. But I also know this obsession of mine is hurting Bianca, pushing her away.

It’s like I’m caught between a rock and a hard place, with no way to go without losing the woman I loved.

As I got home, I resigned myself to another fight or even just her yelling at me like all the times before but once I step through the doorway, I’m met by an illuminated hall of softly glowing candles.

“Bianca?” I called out in confusion, and besides my surprise at the lights being off, I noticed that the candles led off in a trail. Curiosity took over as I followed the path left, down the familiar halls. I call out to Bianca every turn or so as I’m led further in but there’s no answer.

The trail of candlelight led straight to the still open door towards the patio and back garden and as soon as I stepped outside, I realized exactly what all this was about.

The patio furniture had been rearranged into what I could only call a cozy nest of cushions, pillows, and blankets arranged neatly upon the green grass. Fairy light strung across the garden from one side to the other, casting it in a sweet glow.

Even small wooden platters filled with snacks like popcorn candies and soda. At the center, is a white screen with a projector tucked in between the cushions.

“Huh?” My mouth dropped open as I stared at the scene, unable to believe what I was seeing but it was right here.

“Do you like it?” Her soft voice permeated the air and I could hear the nervousness there as I turned around.

Bianca stood behind me, fidgeting with her hands as she stared at me patiently. Dressed in a short silver dress with an open back, she looked like a goddess under the moonlight, more beautiful than I could ever describe.

“Did you...” I softened, unable to focus on anything but how far she had gone for me. “Did you do all this yourself?”

“Well, yeah,” Bianca smiled softly. “I...I know things have been...tense, lately. I don’t want to fight anymore, Leo. I love you and I just...can we just have one night together where it’s just us and nothing else matters? Please?”

If the begging in her voice didn’t do it, the teary eyes she faced me with did. I melted like a pot of butter on a stove and I opened my arms for her, not even caring how much of a mess I must have looked compared to her gorgeous appearance right now.

Her face lit up and she ran over to tackle me into a hug. I kiss the top of her head, sighing in relief as soon as I feel her in my arms again.

“I’m sorry,” I tell her quietly. “You were right. I shouldn’t have done what I did. I’m just so scared of losing you.”

“I know,” She shook her head, leaning up to smile sadly at me. “I don’t want to lose you either but we’re a team, remember? This isn’t a one-sided thing, we do this together. Okay?” 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝔀𝓮𝒃𝙣𝓸𝒗𝒆𝒍.𝙘𝒐𝒎

“Okay,” I chuckled. “I promise.”

She beamed like a beacon of pure sunshine, snuggling into my chest happily and I was left in wonder once more at how amazing of a woman she is. Of how lucky I was to have her in my life.

I was surprised at how easy it was to relax as she pulled me onto the nest she’d built. She even prepared for us to watch my favorite series which I’d been meaning to show Bianca. It had never been released in Italy and ever since I found out she’d never seen it, I wanted to share it with her.

We laid down, and she curled up in the crook of my arm as the projector showcased the show. I talked in a low voice to Bianca as the stars twinkled above us in the night sky, telling her my favorite memories and we just spent time together with our hearts beating in a slow matching rhythm.

And after the show had ended, after the night had descended upon us, our lips met. Unhurried and focused entirely on each other, we kissed under the stars.

My hands curled around her waist as she lifted herself on top of me. I trailed my fingers down the curvature of her spine, feeling her warmth in the cool night air. Our bodies heated us as our slow pace hurried with the passion building.

She pulled my shirt apart, her hand spreading across my chest and I curled my hands around her ass, finding the bend of her panties before I slipped them off. Her halter dress with a low back was sexy as all hell and with no bra, I dipped my hands around her white perky breasts.

She gasped, arching her back as I pushed the fabric of the dress aside, exposing her little red nubs to the cold air. She grasped onto my hair, pulling hard as I slid my tongue across the hard and sensitive nipple, sucking deeply as she rocked her body into me.

I savored her taste, loving the sultry look she gave me, utterly coming undone as I slipped my hand under her skirt. I easily found her clit, swirling my thumb as I dipped my finger into her.

I drove her straight to a climax as she ground down, searching for more. After sending her to the heights of pleasure, it was she who lost her patience as she dove over me. She gave me a sultry smirk as she slipped down to the button of my jeans.

Her masterful little mouth swallowed my cock behind those cherry-red lips and I let her take control as she sucked me until we were both good and ready.

I held her waist in my hands as I brushed my member across her entrance, teasing her just as much as she had me. She stared up at me, her glassy eyes reflecting the sky above and I swear there was nothing more beautiful than her.

We moaned as I slipped inside, taking a softer pace as I made love to her. Bianca clutched onto me, moving with my slow rhythm in a whirlwind of passion. I showered her with praises between our kisses, letting her know how much she meant to me and how gorgeous and sweet she was.

She responded with every kind word that slipped from my tongue, taking them in and whispering back how much she loved me. It felt like forever like our love-making would end just as soon as the sky above would fall upon us.

But we climaxed together, calling each other’s names. Exhausted, we fell back into the cushions, holding onto one another and there was a glow around Bianca that I couldn’t explain.

Like she was a star herself fallen from the sky just to make my wishes come true. I kissed the ends of her hair as we caught our breath, our whole bodies entangled together until I didn’t know where she began and I ended.

“Hey,” Bianca said softly, opening her gorgeous eyes to face me. “You know, I have the holidays off from school.”

“As most schools do,” I chuckled and she rolled her eyes but I was just glad to see the smile on her lips.

“I was hoping...” She hesitated, giving me a nervous look but brushed her hand across my cheek as she pulled me close. “I was hoping we could maybe go home for Christmas. Back to Italy to see my family. I know they’ve been wanting to meet you and I really miss them all. I know it isn’t the ideal time but...”

I silenced her with a gentle kiss, only pulling back once I was sure she wouldn’t keep rambling on nervously. I hated to see the wary look in her eyes like she was worried about asking for something so simple as seeing her own family.

With Michael around, it would be a risk, almost impossible to leave the country now. Even if just for a few days. But I hate saying no to her, not when she’s given me everything.

So I don’t.

“I love you,” I meet her eyes firmly, “and I swear to you, if that’s what you want, then I will do everything in my power to make it happen.”

Her brilliant smile nearly blinded me and I held her tightly as she whispered her gratitude. I brushed my fingers through her hair as I silently hoped I could keep that promise.
