That one threat from the Spirit Queen was enough to put the fear of God into little Ulyn, and Gina was shocked when Ulyn suddenly went silent and retreated with a terrified look on her face! This was the first time that Ulyn wouldn’t be talking back angrily, and Gina realised that the Spirit Queen’s threat was definitely something serious! The Spirit Queen narrowed her eyes at Ulyn and spoke.
’If you don’t want me to intervene, then make sure you don’t ruin this partnership as well. You have a lot of potential, Ulyn, but you need to let go of your prejudice against mortals. I understand that you have seen far more than most of your sisters, but all mortals are not the same. Give Gina a chance to prove herself to you before you judge her so harshly. Now, I’m sure both of you have many things to do out there. Please leave.’
The Spirit Queen smiled as she said that last part, and from the way the Spirit Queen was holding the fruits very tightly, Gina could tell that the Queen just wanted to kick them out so she could enjoy the fruits. Gina and Ulyn were suddenly thrust back by a powerful force, and Gina gasped as she woke up outside the cave in her real body. Gina stood up slowly while dusting herself off, and she frowned at the cave! The Spirit Queen could’ve at least sent her out softly! Did she have to throw her out like that!?
"Ouch, that must’ve hurt like a bitch."
A voice suddenly spoke up from beside Gina, and for a split second, Gina found herself chuckling in amusement at the familiar voice. Gina was even about to respond in a snarky tone to tell the voice that she would definitely get the Queen back for this, but Gina suddenly paused in shock! Gina felt a sudden feeling of confusion fill her heart as she frowned! That voice! Gina knew that voice! But it didn’t make sense for him to be here! Gina was almost afraid to turn around at all! A part of her told her that the voice had only been in her head! Gina had been thinking about him so much over the past few days that she wouldn’t be surprised if she was already hallucinating his freaking voice! Yes, that had ot be! She had to have imagined it! Gina chuckled slightly at her own insanity, but then the voice spoke up again. 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝓮𝒘𝙚𝙗𝒏𝙤𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝒐𝙢
"You’re not even gonna look at me, babe?"
Gina’s entire body jolted like she had just been electrocuted, and she turned around sharply with wide eyes! And right there beside her, sitting calmly with crossed legs and a smile on his face, was Jason Marc. Jason had on a black shirt and a long black pair of trousers that fit his body perfectly. His long hair was tied back into a ponytail behind him, and when he grinned at Gina, Gina could see his long fangs peeking out from his lips. Jason looked up at Gina with a heavy gaze that never failed to make her entire body shiver, and he spoke in a calm, loving voice.
"Hey, babe. I missed you."
Gina felt a sudden surge of emotion welling up from somewhere deep inside her! The emotions were so intense that Gina didn’t even know what to feel at that moment, and her face immediately squeezed in pure anguished happiness as she began to cry! Tears ran down Gina’s face like a river, and Jason laughed as he spread his hands out towards Gina! Gina immediately jumped into his arms, and the two lovers crashed to the ground in a tangle of limbs, tears, and laughter! Gina pressed her face against Jason’s chest desperately and cried into it as she savoured the feeling of holding her lover! Jason rubbed Gina’s hair calmly, and he kissed the top of her head as he allowed her to release all her emotions! Jason knew that it had only been seven days since they last saw each other, but for him, it felt like it had been years since they last touched like this, and Jason couldn’t even begin to imagine how Gina must’ve felt! Gina pulled back from the hug and took Jason’s face in her hands, and Jason watched as Gina looked him over like she was studying a precious artefact! Gina ran her hand over Jason’s cheek, nose, forehead, and neck! She caressed his ears and put her hand through his hair before she touched his lips and felt his fangs! Through all this, Gina was still crying, but Jason smiled as he noticed Gina laughing through her tears, and Jason grinned when Gina said:
"It’s really you. I’m not hallucinating, right? You’re here?"
Jason reached up and caressed Gina’s cheek softly before gently pulling her down for a kiss. The moment their lips touched, Gina felt electricity shoot through her entire body, and she gasped in shock! Jason pulled back only a few seconds later, and he looked into Gina’s wide eyes with a smile.
"Of course it’s me. I’m back, Gina."
Gina felt another surge of emotions pour out from deep inside her when she heard this, and this time she couldn’t help but laugh in joy as she grabbed Jason’s collar and pulled him back in for a deeper kiss! This time, the two lovers completely forgot where they were as they enjoyed the moment together! Jason wrapped his hand around Gina’s waist and held her close to him, and Gina straddled Jason and wrapped her hands around him as she enjoyed the feeling of his lips against her own!
Jason had actually been free from Merivo’s Paradise since this morning. He and Hesbeath had left that dimension after their seven days were up, and the first thing Jason did once he was free was to thank Hesbeath for her help before vanishing from that world and appearing in Arandelle using [King’s Substitute]. When Jason appeared here, he had met up with Stella outside the Forest of Eternal Wind, and he was shocked by the sheer reverence that Stella had shown him when he arrived! Stella had gone to one knee and bowed to Jason respectfully, and even after Jason apologised for his actions on Aquinas, Stella shook her head and looked him dead in the eye before saying that if she ever needed to use her body to protect the royal family, then she would do it again without a second thought! Jason felt a bit overwhelmed by Stella’s reverence, but that moment showed him that Stella was someone whom he could put his trust in completely, and he gained a newfound respect and appreciation for her service.
The elf soldiers that were also waiting outside the forest murmured and whispered in shock as they looked at Jason, and Jason could tell that the stories about the things he had done on Machina had already spread. Jason wasn’t really interested in knowing how the stories had been twisted or bent, or if there were any exaggerations that would make him look better or worse. All of that could be dealt with later! Instead, the first thing Jason wanted to know was what the hell Gina was doing in the forest. Jason knew he could have just spoken to Gina through their mental link, but after so long away from her, Jason didn’t want this first interaction to be through the link. Jason wanted to see her and touch her, and he also wanted to surprise her a little bit. Stella explained what Gina and Farlow were doing in the forest to Jason, and Jason hummed in mild curiosity as he began moving into the forest as well! Jason was immediately warned by everyone that it was dangerous! The forest was filled with spirits, and Jason wouldn’t be able to see them since he wasn’t a Sage or a Spirit Arts user, but Jason just waved them away. If Jason managed to survive against the Grim Reaper himself, then what were a few spirits?
