STRIKER: Independent Beast Tamer-Chapter 759: Suitable reward
Office
Stephen came to the office shortly afterwards. He saw Jeremy Night and Head Harold. He guessed what this was about.
"Stephen, it appears that they won't give up. They dared to approach this kid in broad daylight. Find out their background."
"I'm going to meet their Family Heads if they are from the Beast Taming Families," Harold said in a serious tone. 𝑓𝑟𝑒𝘦𝓌𝑒𝑏𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝘭.𝒸𝘰𝑚
Hearing that, Jeremy Night was surprised. He didn't expect Head Harold to be ready to get involved directly.
"I will find their information," Stephen said.
Harold dismissed him, and Stephen left the room.
Jeremy was wondering whether it was related to the Darkshade Organisation or not, but he was not ready to reveal anything about them.
"Is there anything else?" Harold asked.
Jeremy collected his thoughts and took a storage box from his storage ring. He placed the box on the table.
"What is it?" Harold asked.
"I think it's the rumoured relic," Jeremy said to him.
Harold was taken aback. He had forgotten about the mission. He had given the mission so that Jeremy Night could stay away from the dangerous places here.
But he didn't expect Jeremy Night to complete the mission. He knew everyone was searching the wilderness.
Since the rumoured relic was said to be possibly located in any one of several locations, it was hard to find.
Harold collected his thoughts. He looked at the wooden box and then opened the cover. His gaze fell on the green necklace inside the box.
A hint of surprise appeared in his eyes. Then he picked up the green necklace. Harold started observing the green necklace with his old eyes.
At first glance, he knew the necklace was very old; the rusted chain was the evidence. More than that, the design pattern was popular before the mutation era.
His gaze then shifted to the shining green gem. The green gem had traces of natural energy inside. Nobody knew the exact name of the relic.
Even if it was not the original rumoured relic, the worth of the relic was not small. If he auctioned the relic, their organisation would gain name and fame.
He suppressed his excitement. He then looked toward Jeremy Night. He was looking at him in a new light. He didn't know how the kid had managed to do that.
"Tell me about the mission," he asked.
Hearing that, Jeremy began to explain the mission. Obviously, he was going to keep it short and sweet; he skipped the fights.
Ten minutes later,
Harold had heard everything. He was shocked internally. He couldn't believe that a kid with Tier-3 strength had gone to that abandoned city.
The abandoned city was also one of the possible locations, but not many people paid attention to that city because the city was infested with corrupted beasts.
Beast Tamers won't go there for fear of triggering a beast tide.
Yet this kid entered the city and was able to find the rumoured relic.
"Phew!"
He then took a deep breath. Since Jeremy Night had completed the mission, he decided to reward him.
"You have completed the mission. Tell me, what do you want?" Harold asked.
Jeremy was happy. He had already thought about it. Especially after coming out of the library today, he knew what he wanted.
He said, "Head, I need a fist technique. Especially a fist technique which suits me."
Harold was surprised. He knew Jeremy Night used a Katana blade, but he also knew Jeremy Night's talent related to combat fighting. His talent was known for fighting using the body.
Harold then nodded his head and said, "Alright, I'll find a fist technique and other body combat techniques for you."
"I'm grateful for your help," Jeremy replied.
"Don't mention it. You can go back," Harold said with a smile.
Jeremy nodded and then stood up to leave. He left the office room and went back to his room.
Harold then immediately phoned his friend, Neil Moon. Neil Moon answered the call, and Harold started talking about Jeremy Night.
...
Wilderness
The Darkshade members were doing their missions.
One of the Tier-6 Beast Tamers was not doing the mission because he and his team members had some other assignment. The Tier-6 Beast Tamer was none other than Jeffery.
He learned that their target had returned. He got intel from the informers. The target was to go to the library today.
Jeffery was surprised. He learned from the informer that the target was reading books about sword moves.
So, he thought that the target wouldn't be leaving the city anytime soon. The target was a Tier-3 Beast Tamer, and the organisation behind the target won't let him enter the wilderness.
A beast tide is dangerous for a Tier-3 Beast Tamer. Jeffery frowned. He didn't want to waste time.
He could do other missions in the meantime, so Jeffery decided to contact the higher-ups.
A few minutes later,
He spoke with the higher-ups. He explained the situation, but the higher-ups rejected his idea. They wanted the target dead first.
They didn't want Jeffery to do other missions. He was responsible for eliminating the target.
Jeffery had no choice. He had to follow the updates on the target. He then phoned the informers.
The informers received the task from Jeffery. They were surprised; they were given orders to follow the target again.
Jeffery then informed his team members as well. The higher-ups wouldn't let them do other missions.
...
Beast Tide
Many veteran Beast Tamers were facing the beast tide. The City Governors had yet to make any move. The current beast tide was not that dangerous.
If the Beast Tamers were careful, they could handle the beast tide.
There were Beast Tamers from the major forces here, including the Beast Tamers from Central University 5.
For the Central University students, it was an amazing opportunity to hone their skills.
The 3rd and 4th-year students were fighting against the beasts to create records.
They were facing Tier-4 and Tier-5 corrupted beasts. The Central University students thought no one could defeat this many beasts other than them.
Beast Tamers from other forces were here as well. They felt competitive. Especially the Beast Tamers from the Beast Taming Association, who faced the challenge.
Because, unlike the rich backgrounds of the students, they had mixed backgrounds.
