5th Zone, City-A

Captain Charles brought them a few hundred metres behind the fighting line. Jeremy Night’s gaze fell on the front line.

Fierce fighting was taking place. The land and sky-based lifeline beasts were bombarding the corrupted beasts.

His gaze then shifted to another side, where a corrupted beast had bitten off flesh from a lifeline beast. The scene looked gory.

From time to time, screams and deafening noise could be heard. The battle was intense.

The four-legged corrupted beasts appeared to be hyenas.

Melinda’s face was neutral. She was used to this situation. Captain Charles was angry. He wanted to drive them back as soon as possible.

But the current command was in the hands of the 4th Captain. During his shift, he would do everything to drive them away.

Charles then thought of something and turned towards Jeremy Night. He saw the young Tier-2 Beast Tamer was calm and composed.

This scene stunned him. If it were other young Beast Tamers, they would have puked on the spot. In the worst case, they would have fainted.

Yet, this young Beast Tamer was rather calm. As if he was ready to fight against the corrupted beasts.

She recalled the things told to her by Head Harold. She came to the understanding that Jeremy Night had already participated in three Beast Invasions.

"Are you guys done?" Charles asked.

Jeremy Night recovered his thoughts as well. To be honest, he wanted to fight. But because of the new place and rules, he didn’t want to cause problems for the organization.

The Red Moon Chamber was one of the big forces, not the big force. So, he had to be careful. Then the three of them returned to the admin office.

Melinda was grateful. She thanked Captain Charles once again. Seeing that, Jeremy thanked him as well.

"Young man, what’s your name?" Charles asked.

"I’m Jeremy Night," Jeremy replied.

"Good name. You are calm and composed. I hope to see you on the front line soon," Charles said.

Jeremy didn’t understand, but he still nodded to him.

Then he and Melinda left the place. They got back to their car. Melinda sat in the driver’s seat; Jeremy sat in the back seat.

The next second, she started driving back to the organization.

"Did you find it dangerous?" Melinda asked.

Hearing that, Jeremy Night smiled and said, "Senior, I have faced Tier-4 and Tier-5 Corrupted Beasts before." 𝕗𝐫𝚎𝗲𝘄𝐞𝕓𝐧𝕠𝘃𝕖𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝚖

"I would have felt threatened if they were Tier-6 beasts," he added.

"Tier-6," Melinda uttered.

Even she had to think twice before facing Tier-6 Beasts, because she was a Tier-5 Beast Tamer. Yet the Tier-2 young man was talking about Tier-6 Beasts.

She was hearing it for the first time. She didn’t ask anything further.

But Jeremy Night had serious doubts. He decided to ask her.

"Senior, why are there so few teams fighting on the front line? Why don’t you use the full force?" Jeremy asked.

Melinda raised her eyebrows in surprise. She didn’t expect him to notice this situation.

She said, "Do you think the corrupted hyenas are fighting with their full strength? They have greater numbers than us."

"If they used their full numbers, then it would be considered a Beast Invasion," she added.

Jeremy Night’s eyes glinted with understanding. But he still thought that the population here was large, so why be afraid of a Beast Invasion?

Melinda said, "I can guess what you are thinking."

"The hyena beasts are only one of the problems. There are many kinds of corrupted beasts. They could be watching from the dark. So we have to be watchful of them as well."

"So other teams are keeping an eye on other threats while the frontline battle is going on," she added.

A look of understanding dawned on Jeremy Night. The situation of each zone was different. But the 5th Zone made him think that there were multiple crises occurring at the same time.

So everyone’s energy was divided. Then he asked her a few questions. She answered them patiently.

Not long after, they returned to the organization. She parked her car slowly. Then they stepped out of the car.

Jeremy saw the building was still illuminated. There were people working day and night. They walked into the building.

He spotted members going about their business at this time as well. He then thanked Senior Melinda.

"Head Harold has asked me to take you around the city. Especially, he wanted me to show you dangerous places so that you can avoid them in the future," Melinda said.

Jeremy Night was surprised. He was planning to go out alone. But he didn’t expect things to go his way. He was happy that Senior Melinda would show him around the city.

So he thanked her again. Then they parted ways. He went back to his room. Melinda felt the gazes of the members, but she ignored them.
