Li Qing felt a bit annoyed. What did it mean to be looked at like this by an animal? Even if he was mediocre, he was still a person.

When he stepped forward, he unexpectedly saw the owl holding a roll of brown paper with a black ribbon tied in a bow.

Li Qing was momentarily baffled, and after confirming that the other party just wanted to give him the roll of brown paper, he carefully pushed the window open with one breath.

Flap flap flap!!

He had forgotten that the window in his place opened outward. Watching the owl flap its wings desperately, squawking as it fell downwards.

"Hoo~~ hoo~~~ hoo~~"

Li Qing quickly caught the brown paper roll and stepped forward to look down.

It was already late at night, and everything was pitch black below except for a few faint streetlights flickering in the distance. He couldn't see any trace of the owl.

If not for the brown paper roll in his hand, Li Qing would have thought it was all an illusion.

Looking at the brown scroll in his hand, he suddenly realized that this was probably the acceptance letter Zhuang Xu mentioned.

"Is it real?!"

Full of doubt, Li Qing opened the paper that looked quite ancient, like a parchment scroll.

He removed the ribbon and spread the parchment, which was covered with numerous twisted patterns, somewhat making his scalp tingle.

Frowning, he turned the parchment over from side to side, and after confirming there was nothing unusual, he wanted to toss it aside when his hand suddenly froze, his eyes bulging.

The bizarre symbols at the top of the scroll began to twist like countless black maggots, finally transforming into Chinese characters he could clearly see.

"Holy crap, holy crap?! Holy crap!!!!"

After saying 'holy crap' several times, Li Qing looked at the content inside with a mix of surprise and uncertainty.

"Is it real?!"

Excited and exhilarated, Li Qing couldn't believe that something so fortunate had happened on his birthday after thirty uneventful years, just as Zhuang Xu said it was a turning point in his life.

He felt a bit apologetic for his earlier attitude towards Zhuang Xu's call. Just as he wanted to take out his phone to call back, he found no call records in the call history, with the most recent being from his boss two days ago.

Is it really magic?

Seeing this strange scene, Li Qing hurriedly opened his call recording, but still couldn't find any recording from the other side.

"Holy crap..."

Li Qing had lost count of how many times he had said 'holy crap' today. The events threatened to shatter his worldview completely. However, having been exposed to countless online novels, he quickly adjusted his mindset and looked at the parchment scroll spread out on the table.

So you just click to read the books.

Li Qing reached out and gently touched the book "Magic Origin," watching as the text at the top of the parchment scroll rapidly changed, rearranging as black lines wiggled like black tadpoles.

In less than ten seconds, the content at the top of the old-looking, leather-like scroll wasn't an acceptance letter anymore, but a scene similar to an e-book display.

Upon the first opening, there were even introductory operation tips. If Li Qing didn't know that today's flexible screen technology was nowhere near this level, he would have thought it was a prank by some bored individuals trying to confuse others.

After spreading the crumpled, parchment-like scroll back on the table, he calmed his excited heart, went to the bathroom to freshen up with cold water, and then sat upright at the desk to read carefully.

"Magic exists in everything in the world but originates from the Gods. It is a discipline recorded through observing the cosmos from a perspective beyond the mundane, knowing the rules of the cosmos. When the Gods doze off, the knowledge carrying magic is grasped by intelligent beings and eventually acquired by humans, allowing them to study, use, and delve into its origin.

Like the primordial light, the stars in the cosmos constantly emit endless light and heat, life and destruction; yet how do they form within, and how should we use them..."

It was past three in the morning when Li Qing finally put the parchment scroll aside, rubbing his dry eyes, still eager for more.

He had only read over twenty pages of "Magic Origin," with thirteen hundred twenty pages remaining. However, from his initial understanding, magic wasn't like in online novels, with countless free elements or energy refined into magic power to be used in spells.

To him, mages seemed more like a system in which one used their own spirit, entirely forsaking external tools, to explore the nature of all things.

This book "Magic Origin" entirely discusses all natural and physical phenomena in the world and explains how they work and are structured from the perspective of magic.

Much like light, scientifically speaking, it's broadly defined as electromagnetic radiation from the entire spectrum from the sun, while what we typically see as daylight is filtered through the Earth's atmosphere.

But how is this light formed? Generally, it's considered a result of hydrogen fusing into helium in stars, leading to more inquiries about why stars continuously undergo fusion reactions...

In the magical viewpoint, these are due to the constant decay of energy density, the continuous degradation of ultra-high-quality energy levels, thus releasing immense energy.

The scientific perspective also holds that view, continually releasing energy as energy levels drop.
