Starting with Proficiency Panel-Chapter 701: See the real - tomorrow (new book content)
Li Qing felt somewhat annoyed, being stared at by an animal like this, what did it mean, even if he was ordinary, he was still a human.
Stepping forward for a look, he saw the owl holding a roll of brown paper in its beak, tied in a bow with a black silk ribbon.
Li Qing was momentarily dumbfounded, and after ensuring that the owl simply wanted to give him the roll of brown paper it was holding, he carefully pushed the window open with one swift motion.
Flap flap flap!!
He had forgotten that the window in his place pushed outwards, and watched as the owl flapped its wings repeatedly and, squawking loudly, started falling downwards.
"Hoo~~Hoo~~~Hoo~~"
Li Qing's quick reflexes allowed him to catch the brown paper roll, and he leaned out, craning his neck to look down below.
It was already late at night, pitch black except for a few dim street lights flickering in the distance, and there was no sign of the owl.
If it wasn't for the brown paper roll in his hand, Li Qing would have thought it was all an illusion.
Looking at the roll of brown paper in his hand, he suddenly realized that this must be the acceptance letter Zhuang Xu had mentioned.
"Is it real?!"
Li Qing suspiciously opened the paper that looked very old, like a piece of sheep skin parchment.
Pulling the ribbon away, he spread out the parchment, which was covered in countless twisted patterns that gave him goosebumps.
He frowned as he flipped the parchment back and forth, and just when he was about to toss it aside, his hand abruptly paused, his eyes wide in disbelief.
The top of the paper began to shift from the ghostly scribbles into clear Chinese characters he could understand.
"Whoa, whoa?! Whoa!!!!"
Li Qing muttered "whoa" several times, then looked at the contents inside with mixed feelings of excitement and uncertainty.

"Is it real?!"
Li Qing felt both excited and thrilled; after thirty long years of monotony, such an opportunity on his birthday seemed indeed a turning point in life, just as Zhuang Xu had said.
He felt a bit apologetic for his earlier attitude towards Zhuang Xu's call, and was planning to dial back when he noticed there was no record of the call, the most recent entry being his boss's call two days ago.
Is this truly magic?
Witnessing this strange scene, Li Qing hastily opened the call recording log but still couldn't find any trace of the call recording.
"Whoa…"
Li Qing had lost track of how many times he'd said "whoa" today, as the events were shaking his worldview tremendously, but having been well-versed in countless online novels, he quickly adjusted his mindset and looked at the spread-out parchment on his desk.
So clicking means he can view the books.
Li Qing reached out and lightly tapped on the book "Magic Origin," and saw the text atop the parchment rapidly transform and rearrange, the black lines writhing like tadpoles.
Mere seconds later, the content atop the seemingly old, leather-like parchment was no longer the acceptance letter, but appeared as a display akin to an electronic book.
Upon opening for the first time, there were initial operation prompts; if Li Qing didn't know that current flexible screen technology was far from this level of advancement, he would truly believe it was a prank by idle folks.
After laying the parchment, made from unknown materials, flat on the desk, he calmed his excitement, went to the bathroom, freshened up with cold water, then sat solemnly at the desk to read carefully.
"Magic exists in all things of the world but originates from the gods. It is a discipline passed down by witnessing the cosmos from a perspective beyond the ordinary, documenting the rules of the universe through some medium. When gods nap, the wise life forms grasp the magic knowledge, until now humans have learned, used, and delved deeply, understanding its origin.
Like the primordial light, the stars in the cosmos constantly emit endless light, heat, vitality, and destruction, but the formation process remains a question; how should we harness it..."
He kept reading until past three early morning, rubbing his dry eyes and somewhat reluctantly placing the parchment aside.
He had only read through twenty or so pages of "Magic Origin," with a remaining one thousand three hundred twenty pages, but from this initial understanding, it appears magic does not function like in online novels—where countless free-floating elements or energies in the world are extracted to form magic power for casting spells.
He considers mages more like practitioners who use only their spirit, eschewing external tools, to explore the cosmos.
This book "Magic Origin" thoroughly discusses all natural phenomena and explains them from a magical viewpoint regarding how they operate and are constructed.
Regarding light, scientifically speaking, the broad definition is electromagnetic radiation from the sun's entire spectrum, while the sunlight we see is filtered through Earth's atmosphere.
But the question of how this light forms is generally ascribed to hydrogen-to-helium fusion in stars, and probing deeper, why does the star's interior undergo continual fusion reactions...
From a magical standpoint, this is due to the constant decay of energy density, with exceedingly high-quality energy levels steadily diminishing, releasing vast amounts of energy.
The scientific perspective also holds such concepts, where energy release occurs as the energy level falls.
Magic and science have many underlying commonalities in their exploration of the cosmos.
