Star Gate-Chapter 1701: Enormous Gains! (II)

“Get out of here, I’m not interested!” The Human King was very put off by the Light and Skycloud masters. He was pissed that they’d stolen his earlier spoils; he was the type to hold a grudge!

These two were already enemies in his eyes, so he wouldn’t be the least bit polite toward them.

The Skycloud master raised his eyebrows and glanced at the Human King. “We can forget about it since you are not interested!” he chuckled. With that, he vanished.

Neither did the Light master grow irritated from the Human King’s rude response. Being aware of the man’s reputation and having reached his level of accomplishment, what did the Light master care about a few insults?

He vanished with a chuckle as well.

Other exalted emperors lurking in the surroundings disappeared as well, off to seek out their own fortunes. Some sought the dao origin, others went off to hunt the Red Moon master. He’d been the strongest on the scene when he arrived with four seventh ranks, but now he was the worst off!

The Human King cursed to himself, glancing at the Orchid Forest master still enduring his tribulation. No one disturbed him, which made his attempt easier. It was just...

Damn it, I can only stand guard here while this guy attempts to survive the tribulation! How damned unfortunate!

Red Moon.

Thunder and lightning appeared over the major world when Orchid Forest violated the terms of the alliance. The phenomenon appeared in more than one spot!

Just as Li Hao’s group looked around blankly, four dao universes hovered into view. RUMBLE!!

Endless thunder and lightning surfaced as well.

What’s going on??

To be exact, only three major worlds suffered from chaos tribulations—Skywave was in the clear. Its world master hadn’t had a chance to strike back before he died!

There was a seventh rank in the upper skies of Skywave, looking around wildly with a pale face. What had happened? Why was this happening? Who’d betrayed the alliance? Was it the Red Moon master, or the other two world masters?

Wave Moon had her heart in her throat.

Red Moon didn’t seem to be only suffering from a chaos tribulation in the distance, there were also powerhouses ambushing them.

Kaboom!

A massive explosion and a ghastly scream rang through the world.

“I refuse to accept this...” Griefstricken wailed. He was outmatched by Fog Mountain to begin with as the second tribulation bolt arrived. The man was in a further bedraggled state after the Sword Sovereign hacked a stroke at him, and now an eighth rank tribulation was crashing into him. Such misery!

A sword arrived in the next second! A finger pointed forward!

Kaboom!!

This seventh rank, the last Red Moon seventh rank, exploded on the spot. His dao strength crumbled and his dao mark shattered as soon as it appeared. A seventh rank exalted emperor was no more!

All of Red Moon major world shook violently!

Rumble!!

The Red Moon dao universe materialized and bloody rain drifted through the air. With the demise of a premier exalted emperor and damage to the great dao, the entire world was beset with unrest.

Red Moon exalted emperors looked fearfully up at the sky as the tribulation descended once more!

“Ahh!!” Agonized screams echoed throughout the land.

As exalted emperors, their dao was too closely linked with the dao universe. Now that Red Moon had forsaken the alliance, they were struck with a second tribulation in addition to the one that Li Hao had brought down on their heads.

Numerous exalted emperors were immediately decimated to ash!

Within the crowd, the Pagoda King, Mo, and Cicada paled with horror. How could this be?! This tribulation was so formidable! It was so much stronger than before or anticipated! This... was an eighth rank tribulation, wasn’t it??

They would be dead already if it wasn’t for everyone shouldering part of the tribulation!

Even with that stipulation, the Pagoda King was sucking in sharp breaths as those in front of him died as sizzling husks. Fuck, we might really die here if we don’t break away from Red Moon!

Just as the Pagoda King was prepared to give up his position in the Red Moon dao universe... the world gates opened.

Two formidable presences enveloped the world. A discomfited Li Hao staggered into view, lightning dancing over his head! He wasn’t slipping surreptitiously into the world, but forcing his way through the defenses!

The tribulation over his head paled in comparison to the one enshrouding Red Moon. He tilted his head in acknowledgement at Fog Mountain and the rest.

“Senior Fog Mountain and Sword Sovereign, please kill Wave Moon and annihilate all Skywave exalted emperors! Don’t let the seventh rank get away. I see that Red Moon’s great dao has been destabilized, so one of their seventh ranks must have died. Don’t let that world master escape!”

The two looked at each other and immediately set off for Skywave.

Li Zhu was also itching for action and wanted to follow them. When he came, Li Hao had said that he would be handling one of the seventh ranks. It was just, judging from the young man’s stance, it didn’t seem like that would be his assignment.

“Senior Li Zhu, please protect the Pagoda King, Mo, and Cicada!” Li Hao ordered as he watched lightning and thunder ravage Red Moon. “Safeguard them with the dao of hiding. Since they haven’t broken away from Red Moon, there’s no need to do so. Their opportunity is at hand!”

Li Zhu blinked at the command, then nodded. He promptly left to carry out his orders. At the same time, he felt a bit strange about the situation.

And though it was exciting to conduct operations alongside the Silver Moon king, it wasn’t as dangerous as one might think. That one seemed to keep all eventualities in mind with his plan. He didn’t always seek to topple the strong from a weak position.

While it may look like he took an enormous risk each time, he did so with utmost confidence.

The Human King, on the other hand, always had to make a large gamble. But Li Hao had carefully set all of his pieces in place. He wouldn’t have been caught off guard by danger even if the Orchid Forest master hadn’t turned on Red Moon.

Those who labor with their minds govern others.

In reality, Li Hao paid a heavy price to be so prepared. He hadn’t charged over in a brash, impulsive fit. He was ready for all eventualities and could claim victory today even without the Orchid Forest master.

“I am Li Hao, king of Silver Moon and the Exalted Myriad Dao Emperor!” His voice echoed throughout the world. “Seniors Yan Fang and others, although the Orchid Forest master has departed, you know why these developments are taking place. Please join me in hunting down Red Moon exalted emperors! We will completely eradicate them and not leave a single one alive!”

Yan Fang shot into the air, followed by many other Orchid Forest exalted emperors. They were also facing the chaos tribulation, but didn’t have to deal with the thunder and lightning head-on as they were hiding behind Red Moon exalted emperors.

As furious as the Red Moon exalted emperors were, there were quite a few Orchid Forest masters and they were gathered together. There was no time to take them to task for their impudence.

Yan Fang looked at Li Hao with some shock. Hunt down all Red Moon exalted emperors?

“Do you feel otherwise, Senior Yan Fang?” called out Li Hao.

“Not at all!” Yan Fang quickly answered. “The world master reached an agreement with the fellow daoist before he left. I do not know the particulars, but the world master told us that if Fellow Daoist Myriad Dao comes, we are to follow your orders in all things! It’s just... this chaos tribulation...”

“Kill people first!” Li Hao materialized a minor world and smiled at Void. “Let’s work together and see who can stand against us when seventh ranks aren’t in residence!”

Void nodded with a smile; the two disappeared.

A fifth rank defending himself against a chaos tribulation widened his eyes with surprise. The Red Moon exalted emperors were quickly gathering together, but were often hindered by the tribulation.

The strength of a myriad worlds appeared when the world of emptiness appeared. It came down over the world and the longsword swept past. Countless domains suppressed the scene and it took only a moment before...

Kaboom!

The fifth rank exploded!

The power of revitalization surfaced when Li Hao consumed only a bit of his energy. He was back to peak condition in the blink of an eye.

The tribulation overhead had been immensely depleted; the young man didn’t care at all. He permitted the thunder tribulation to land as it would. This was a prime opportunity to utilize one of his own domains to devour the rampaging power of thunder and lightning!

Within the river, Number Two also swallowed as much of the tribulation it could so that Li Hao would have more freedom of movement. Everyone was playing their assigned role in the plan.

In the distance, Li Zhu looked over with a complicated expression. The Pagoda King looked back at him—he was actually one of Li Zhu’s subordinates.

Back in the day, New Martial’s greatest enemy had been the Earth Dwellers. The Pagoda King was only a king because there was an emperor above him. Li Zhu!

“My liege...”

A calm Li Zhu ignored the Pagoda King. He nursed no resentment toward the Pagoda King’s betrayal. Hadn’t he been putting on an act in front of the entire world back in the day as well?

He just really didn’t want to talk to the Pagoda King.

“Milord, what do you think about the Silver Moon king?”

“What do I think?” Li Zhu replied noncommittally. “I don’t think much either way. If you want to ask how he compares to the Human King... they have their own distinctive characteristics. The Human King’s personality is a very strong one and his valor knows no bounds!

“The Silver Moon king... has some more of the Martial King’s shrewdness and a little less of the Human King’s impulsiveness. As for who is better... who can be the judge of that? At the very least, the current him does not measure up to the Human King.”

It was a fourth rank versus a peak seventh rank. The differences were stark.

Some exalted emperors rushed toward Li Zhu as they spoke. The Red Moon exalted emperors were out for blood. Seeing that Li Hao was slaughtering their people, they wanted to strike back as hard as they could.

“Curse you, Pagoda King! This is all your fault...” snarled a crazed Red Moon exalted emperor.

He was yet to arrive or even finish his sentence before Li Zhu waved a hand and enveloped him with a domain. The latter chuckled as a black tome overhead flared with light. A myriad daos erupted in unison and melted the fourth rank, leaving nothing behind!

The Pagoda King jerked with astonishment, as did Mo and Cicada suck in sharp breaths! While a fourth rank wasn’t that powerful, it was mid rank at the end of the day. And yet... this one had been spontaneously eliminated!

This person’s so strong!!
