Chapter 1445: The Tribulation Disperses (I)

Magnificent fireworks filled the void! The detonation of a dao universe was a rare sight since the beginning of time. Even the collision of two major worlds typically focused on devouring one of the worlds. It was extremely rare that someone would choose to set one afire, actually succeed, and cause it to go up in flames!

Even the incomparably powerful Red Moon exalted emperor was briefly lost in a daze. Despite that, he still wasn’t afraid of Li Hao’s group. There was nothing concerning about a bunch of fellows weaker than him. The master of the world was still handling the chaos tribulation! He’d nearly been done in by the seventh bolt.

The tribulation continued with the eighth bolt about to descend.

A cat reluctantly flew out of the river of time. Number Two was softer-hearted in the end. Although it grumbled inaudibly, possibly cursing out Li Hao, it made straight for the tribulation. The cat’s mouth yawned open and it devoured the thunder and lightning!

As formidable as the tribulation was, it was no match for the Ash Emperor or Number Two. Both of these entities had the ability to swallow and contain all things. Tribulation lightning was no exception.

The eighth thunderbolt outright disappeared in the cat’s mouth. With how daunting the tribulation was, the eighth bolt could truly harm or even kill an exalted emperor. A weaker one, that was.

But all it took was Number Two opening its mouth to devour it.

That seemed to enrage the tribulation—the ninth bolt promptly appeared. Such an overwhelming tribulation raised enormous ripples throughout the chaos. If this was in ordinary times, it would’ve raised plenty of attention and perhaps even scrutiny from the Red Moon master.

But now, no one in the universe had the time and effort to spare for these happenings. Whether it was marching on Silver Moon or seizing the minor world, all of those actions targeted New Martial.

And today, New Martial showed itself.

Not only that, but it’d eradicated two masters of major worlds and the master of a great dao. Although the latter couldn’t measure up to a master of a world, he’d been sixth rank exalted emperor nonetheless. That put him on par with the premier existence of a major world.

The demise of multiple exalted emperors caused a disturbance that was not matched by the one taking place in Silver Moon. No one in the far off Red Moon major world cared about what was happening here. The eyes of all heavyweights were focused in one direction—the source of the dazzling fireworks filling the void.

Pressure bore down on Red Moon major world for the first time!

Although the Red Moon master was truly a premier exalted emperor, he looked on gravely at this moment as well. The New Martial Human King and Ash Emperor were incredibly formidable. If Red Moon wished to assimilate New Martial, a very difficult battle might take place first.

......

Li Hao was also smiling. New Martial lived up to its reputation, alright!

The civilization wasn’t simply strong to the point of forgetting itself with self satisfaction; it fully deserved its fame. He’d only made a trip to the past of his memories to set all of these events in motion.

It was true that New Martial was eradicating major worlds, but they were also strengthening themselves at the same time. It just so happened that this would eliminate the number of enemies they faced.

It was that trip to the past that set everything in motion. New Martial was so trusting!

The Human King and Supreme Zhang had shown him so much face that it made Li Hao appear incompetent in comparison. The Red Moon exalted emperor in front of him was very, very strong!

But it’s not like I’m that weak either.

Li Hao had barely made it to the exalted emperor level and had integrated both daos. He was a true exalted emperor, as was Number Two that was facing off the chaos tribulation. It only looked like Silver Moon lacked exalted emperors. In reality, it wasn’t any weaker than a regular minor world. Some newly ascended mid worlds weren’t better off than it, either.

Li Hao didn’t make a move after Number Two took the field. A book of great dao appeared in the distance.

The Red Moon exalted emperor was still struggling in his throes of shock when he blinked again, unbounded fear rising in his heart. Was that... the New Martial book of dao?

The supreme’s book??

But how was that possible?! What was it doing here??

Figures manifested in the surroundings at the same time and a person tore through the void.

“We are here at the Human King’s orders to welcome the return of Silver Moon!” Celestial Pole boomed like a tolling bell. “Who dares ambush Silver Moon?! On your knees if you wish to be spared!”

“On your knees!” roared the figures, each of them the absolute sound of destruction!

As New Martial annihilated worlds in the chaos, the book of great dao took its powerhouses elsewhere. Although their presences were a bit disjointed, the might of New Martial was firmly etched into everyone’s hearts.

The Red Moon exalted emperor was tremendously shocked to begin with. In this moment, his horror knew no bounds. New Martial was here!

New Martial really was here.

As strong as Red Moon was, the strongest was the Red Moon master. While the exalted emperor here was a third rank exalted emperor, he’d reached that level with great effort. Considering it was one of those crazed exalted emperors in front of him... any of them possessed the ability to kill him.

He would be spared if he kneeled!

This was the typical New Martial arrogance. They completely toppled their enemies wherever they went. Those who refused to bow their heads or surrender were killed!

The Red Moon exalted emperor’s knees were knocking. Should he bend the knee?

A variety of thoughts appeared in his mind, all centered around themes of fear and panic! How am I supposed to fight so many New Martial heavyweights by myself? I’ll have trouble even getting away!

As he grappled with his trepidation, the half-dead Gan Wuliang seized the chance to turn the tables. A red light sparkled in his eyes and a certain kind of fear emanated in all directions. It magnified the exalted emperor’s apprehension and unease!

I control emotion and the human heart. Red Moon is a dao of desire. Where there is desire, there is fear. However big the desire is how big the fear.

Gan Wuliang exuded the meaning of his dao, beginning his counterattack when the exalted emperor was lost in thought. Li Hao likewise drew his sword to cut down his opponent...

But the young man sighed softly in the next moment. As he thought, even the heavens couldn’t abide his success. Or rather, payback was inevitable when one roamed the martial world!

He’d repeatedly utilized the power of time and also borrowed from the future. He’d done so last time to withstand the chaos tribulation and defy Bone Eclipse. The young man had infinitely called upon his future selves then.

His peak battle condition was upon him again, but the strength in his body was suddenly slipping through his fingers. The enormous amount of power was flowing somewhere else—probably when he last summoned it. 𝕗𝚛𝚎𝚎𝐰𝗲𝗯𝗻𝚘𝚟𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝕞

It was returning to the past to answer the call!

Li Hao could refuse the request, but then he might die in a previous battle. The chaos tribulation was just a punishment, but he needed to make good on previous debts.

There was indeed no free lunch to be had in this world.

Li Hao had anticipated this happening, but it’d come too quickly upon him. He was thinking that it might take place later on in the tribulation, but it was here for him already.

On the sidelines, Lin Hongyu’s hand twitched. Li Hao had raised this possibility to her before, so she’d kept her eyes fixated on the young man. When she sensed Li Hao’s presence dissipating, she knew that he was about to lose all of his strength like last time.

A star that was half black and half white appeared in the river. It replaced the star of time to wield control over the river. Waves surged and energy gathered, landing on the star of black and white.

Just when Lin Hongyu was about to take Li Hao’s place and slash down at the trembling exalted emperor...

The young man took a deep breath. He was just losing his strength, not dying. He suddenly stopped Lin Hongyu, raising further waves in the river. Time reversed—the black and white star vanished and energy focused on Li Hao again!

Lin Hongyu’s eyes widened. What was he doing?

According to what they’d agreed on, she was supposed to replace Li Hao in making a move. Why had he forcefully reversed time? That would only strengthen the tribulation and create more trouble for himself.

Did he not trust her? Or did he think that she couldn’t kill the powerful exalted emperor?

Everything happened so quickly that it was completed in the blink of an eye.

Li Hao wasn’t considering whether or not his actions would strengthen the tribulation. He just wanted to respond to the New Martial braves. Since they had done what they said they would do, he would display the limits of capabilities despite his relative weakness. The master of Silver Moon is not an incompetent person!

As for paying a higher price because of it... so what?

He was being a bit impulsive, but he also didn’t fully believe that Lin Hongyu would be able to kill this exalted emperor. She might fail.

In that case, he would do the deed!

There was still a current of thunder and lightning within the river. It gathered toward him; the Firmament Sword manifested.

The Red Moon exalted emperor continued to tremble, but gradually discovered something off about the situation. He looked at the book of dao, finding it to be much weaker than he thought. There was also a faint ray of sword intent behind it!

He suddenly understood the truth of the situation, but his reaction time was still slowed by his earlier distraction and horror. Regardless, it wouldn’t be that easy for these people to make a move against him!

Formidable Red Moon strength rose from his body, whereas Li Hao’s longsword had arrived!

Sword intent clashed with Red Moon power. Even though it was hastily gathered Red Moon power, it was still a force to be reckoned with. The Red Moon exalted emperor snarled, bringing down overwhelming might on Silver Moon!

Trying to take advantage of this opening to kill me? Not happening!

So what if Li Hao possessed the strength of a first rank exalted emperor? He was a third rank, one that far eclipsed the young man!

Sword intent raced upward, containing the power of thunder and lightning. If the chaos beast from earlier had still been alive, it might not be able to weather the blow after such a momentary lapse in concentration. However, the exalted emperor was stronger than the beast!

Boom!

A loud collision rang through the area. Red Moon power dissipated and the mark of a sword appeared in the center of his forehead. Golden blood gushed out of it, but the exalted emperor looked frostily at Li Hao.

He ignored Celestial Pole and the book of dao—it was a fake!

Though he’d been momentarily cowed by New Martial, he’d realized that it was an illusion. These people just wanted to scare him and he... had indeed been scared for a bit!

What a pity that they lacked the strength to back their wiles up. The exalted emperor might have truly fallen otherwise.
