Star Gate-Chapter 1442: Resplendent Fireworks (I)

The giant cow that they’d come up against first had directly pierced Hong Yitang’s defenses. This newly arrived exalted emperor was even more terrifying and made Hong Yitang suffer immensely.

“Go ambush that person!” A voice whispered insidiously in the man’s ears. “You’ll be the master of the world if you kill him!”

Even the river of chaos that Hong Yitang wielded was changing color. In this moment, he recognized that he was in trouble. Thankfully, he was familiar with Red Moon. Otherwise, it would be very difficult for him to rein in such thoughts. However, they continued to pose a distraction.

Hong Yitang made up his mind in a split second—he knew that he would be increasingly troubled to keep these impulses in check.

“Gan Wuliang, you take the lead!” He decided without any hesitation or apprehension. He really was worried that he’d succumb to temptation and ambush Li Hao.

Even though they’d decided that he would be the one to wield the twin daos, Hong Yitang backed away in this moment and gave control to Gan Wuliang.

It took only the blink of an eye for Hong Yitang’s consciousness to recede and Gan Wuliang’s to appear. The latter was equal parts nervous, agitated, and excited. It was his first time wielding the twin daos!

He suddenly found himself unfathomably strong. Although he knew that this was a misconception, he was also aware that he really did have the strength of an exalted emperor. Hong Yitang’s mental strength was fading away, to be suppressed in the long river like Gan Wuliang’s had been moments ago. Both daos were in his grasp!

He looked at Li Hao close by!

The young man was defending against the sixth thunderbolt and engrossed in the enemy. All Gan Wuliang needed to do was to attack from behind to break Li Hao’s connection with Silver Moon. That would create a large opening for the Red Moon exalted emperor to kill the young man...

The thought simply flashed through Gan Wuliang’s mind; he wasn’t the slightest bit inclined to act on it. He was even more cognizant that this powerful exalted emperor was here for Silver Moon. At the very least, Li Hao would let him be the master of immaterial dao.

This newcomer would likely swallow Gan Wuliang whole!

Close by, the exalted emperor looked at the Star Gate with some surprise. There were some oddities when it came to this Silver Moon new dao. There seemed to be more than one wielder.

How interesting. This makes it more fun and showcases that the new dao has more potential.

He could even sense the presence of two consciousnesses.

Twin daos?

So the dao universe was one of a corporeal and immaterial dao! This was an indicator of the universe’s deep potential. They were typically just a single dao—these kinds of dao universes were a common sight.

A twin dao universe... plus a master of the world that wielded time... and a heavenly will that was devouring the chaos beast...

Based on the current situation, this tiny Silver Moon might very well give birth to four masters of the world!

This was an exceedingly rare sight even in a major world. New Martial was special enough to produce a master of yin and a master of yang. Under normal circumstances, major worlds had one master at least and two masters at most—one of the world, one of the great dao.

But this place had given birth to four!

This insignificant Silver Moon was just a New Martial vassal world. Where did such potential come from?

One probing feint had revealed a great many things. The exalted emperor smiled faintly. This could be done!

An exalted emperor by themselves really wouldn’t stand to gain anything. After all, a second rank like that demonic beast had died here. From that, the Red Moon exalted emperor could extrapolate a thing or two.

The one who wielded time had utilized some of the Sword Sovereign’s methods to kill the beast. With that in mind, the newcomer took prompt action. There was no need for delay—that would only give rise to potential undesirable developments.

He ignored Li Hao and the masters of dao. Instead, the exalted emperor sped for the enormous beast. He was going to kill the burgeoning heavenly will. The intact corpse of an exalted emperor was a tremendous treasure!

He would also be eliminating a future threat. If the heavenly will successfully assimilated the beast, it might develop the idea of devouring the world and running off with Silver Moon.

The exalted emperor immediately thought through all possibilities. He wasn’t concerned about Li Hao because it was more than obvious that the young man’s tribulation was far from over. That could be determined from the tribulation clouds.

It was an enormous question whether or not the young man would survive the tribulation!

Having just defeated the sixth thunderbolt, an ashen Li Hao frowned slightly. The result that he least wished to see was unfolding in front of him!

It would be a good thing if the newcomer either attacked him or did anything else. That would give Panth time to consolidate its control over the chaos beast and devour Silver Moon. When that was complete, they had their choice of fleeing or doing anything else they decided.

For the exalted emperor to set his sights on the dog... that was what Li Hao wanted the least. Clearly, the newcomer read the situation clearly.

Once Panther died and the chaos beast corpse was taken, they wouldn’t have a way to move Silver Moon. Even if they could kill this exalted emperor, there would be nothing but death awaiting them if they stayed put.

The only alternative was if Li Hao abandoned Silver Moon and fled for his own life!

The young man had to stop the exalted emperor. He vanished on the spot and appeared in front of the chaos beast. Slashing forward with his sword, he sought to stop his opponent. It took only a split second before Red Moon power surged into his mind.

“Put down your weapon...” The overwhelming demonic note made him briefly lose focus. A person seemed to appear in front of him, one that wore a smile on his face and approached him slowly.

Li Hao’s eyes turned red as Red Moon power surfaced in him. The immense existence across the way was coolly composed. As strong as the young man was and as unique as his great dao was, he was only a half step emperor and not an exalted emperor.

A shaking Li Hao gripped the Firmament Sword. He couldn’t even muster the inclination to draw his sword. The young man seemed impotent when faced with a major exalted emperor.

Li Hao’s face flushed red! Was his opponent that strong?

“Now now, be a good little boy...” The man’s amused voice sounded in his ear. Li Hao’s body started to struggle out of his control. “Draw your sword and cut down the demonic beast...”

Li Hao’s arm moved of its own volition and even swung back for a blow on the corpse behind him!

This was horrifying! Li Hao’s mind was not weak and his strength was of a premier level, but he was still being manipulated! He was being compelled to swing his own sword to cut down the giant beast’s body!

His mind was awake enough, but surges of red energy slowly invaded his river of time. The star of time struggled in the center of his forehead. Even his world that wasn’t too strong yet began slipping out of his hands.

No matter how many plots and schemes he’d set up, all of them seemed ineffective when overwhelmed with absolute strength.

Someone shrieked in piercing tones behind Li Hao, interrupting everything that was happening.

“I’m coming, my lord!” Gan Wuliang’s shriek stabbed through the chaos, quite grating on the ears. However, the cacophony he created was delivered at perfect timing.

Another type of power related to desire spread throughout the chaos. Red light also glinted out of Gan Wuliang’s eyes, as if his sense of self was subsumed by desire.

Li Hao’s arm trembled, the look in his eyes sharpened, and he brought down his weapon on the exalted emperor in front of him!

Boom!

The exalted emperor frowned slightly and raised his hand in a fist, punching the sword intent to smithereens. He tilted his head at Gan Wuliang with some dissatisfaction, then smiled. “How interesting, this dao is quite fascinating! It is a great fit for my Red Moon dao. If I can wield this dao, it is a perfect match for a Red Moon exalted emperor like me!”

He’d been irritated by the interruption at first, then quickly smiled at the new development. Bone Eclipse might have influenced the development of Silver Moon’s dao. A very strong dao of desire had also budded when the world’s great dao was born!

The exalted emperor instantly formed a few theories. This dao strength had brimmed with the intent of all daos being one moments ago—that was likely due to the Sword Sovereign’s influence. And now, this formidable power of desire was likely Bone Eclipse’s influence.

When the great dao first formed, it naturally took cues from the most powerful entities in Silver Moon at the time.

A myriad of daos coming together as one was represented by the Sword Sovereign. Unlimited desire was represented by Bone Eclipse.

As for time...

The truth was as Li Hao surmised. Silver Moon had been born of the War Sovereign’s strength back in the day. That was why its dao universe contained several dao legacies!

Li Hao brandished his sword, but was instantly defeated. It was currently two first rank exalted emperors fighting a third rank exalted emperor. Although they were outmatched, they stood a chance of identifying some opportunities.

However, the seventh thunderbolt was at hand!

The desire in Gan Wuliang’s eyes had greatly decreased. He was very resigned!

If it wasn’t for the chaos tribulation, he and Li Hao combined should be able to hold the defense for a while. After Panther consolidated its grasp over the giant beast’s body and devoured Silver Moon, they wouldn’t need to overly fear their opponent, even if they were still outmatched.

But the crucial problem was, the chaos tribulation was still present!

In that case, Li Hao had almost no opportunity to make a move. He was completely preoccupied with handling the thunderbolts.

All of the young man’s previous arrangements and those being held in reserve, such as Celestial Pole, were not to appear at this moment. They were to wait for the right timing. But... when was this timing?

When he swam to the past, both the New Martial Human King and Supreme Zhang had said that they would create some chances for him in that moment.

However, the young man didn’t see anything at the moment. Where were those chances?
