Chapter 1437: Opening the Star Gate (III)

All eyes in Silver Moon were on the sky.

“The Star Gate is the threshold to our world and the doorway that leads to the chaos universe!” Li Hao’s voice rang through the land without needing sky canopies to project his form. “The chaos is infinitely large with millions of worlds similar to our home. There are too many to be counted!

“The Star Gate has protected us for one hundred thousand years, but also limited us for that long! We have reached the limit of our martial dao if the Star Gate does not open. Our descendants will have no chances to progress. Additionally, the fortunes of the world have been exhausted!

“Remaining behind closed doors will protect us for a moment, but they will not protect us forever! So today, I will open the Star Gate and connect with the chaos. There are bound to be formidable enemies with their eyes on us and disasters that follow!

“Only when our wills are united and our hearts are one do we stand a chance of defending against strong foes. We will smash through these trials and welcome our rebirth!

“The Skystar calendar and Silver Moon calendar will no longer be in effect starting today! I deem this day as the first day of the first month in the Genesis calendar! A new era is about to commence, everything is starting over again!

“Silver Moon will soar gloriously when we are past these ordeals! Fortune and disaster are hard to anticipate once the Star Gate opens. Life and death will be fickle. Everyone, I hope this is a good beginning!”

Li Hao’s voice cut off and a long river materialized in the world. The Star Gate swayed vibrantly in the sky. The corporeal and immaterial dao rivers also appeared in the world.

Three rivers traversed through Silver Moon, sending the world shaking slightly.

Li Hao grasped at the sky and sent currents of presence circulating through the surroundings. Everyone was nervous, worried, anticipatory, and uneasy. Could the Star Gate be opened? Could it?

Of course it could!

The immense Star Gate began trembling when it came in contact with the presence of a myriad of daos and the power of the world. Li Hao wore a longsword on his back—the Firmament Sword—and steadily pushed against it.

His figure grew more and more illusory.

Rumble...

The giant door shook as if someone was knocking on it. The tiniest of cracks appeared within its center.

......

In this moment.

Supreme Zhang was running over some calculations when he suddenly looked in a certain direction. His eyes darted around and he smiled. “The Star Gate has opened and Silver Moon is once more present within the chaos. Everyone, the time is nigh!”

“Kill kill kill!” Shouts erupted from all around. The Star Gate was open!

Silver Moon had vanished for fifty-some years and was once more visible in the public eye. While that wasn’t a long period of time, the supreme knew that when a minor world was isolated and cut off from energy, that resulted in a very long period of time passing!

......

In another locale.

The quickly traveling Human King suddenly turned back.

“Where is it? I think I’ve been there before...” he murmured. “But I didn’t discover it then! How odd...”

He’d detected his own presence today, that of the signboard’s. But... it seemed very far away.

Should he head over there, or keep forging ahead? He saw a major world in front of him hovering within the chaos. He’d finally made it to his destination! It was his first time being so lucky as to directly locate his target. He didn’t want to give it up!

The Human King smiled. To hell with it all! Could he leave now that he’d made it to his destination?

“Nether Moon major world, this king is here!” The Human King roared with laughter and blasted toward the world!

An ancient existence, an incomparably powerful existence manifested at the peak of the major world. He looked coldly into the distance.

Still trying to play the fool, huh! Nether Moon? This is Utmost Dark!

Is that the New Martial Human King? Very good, this will be an opportunity to witness the strength of this premier heavyweight. Let’s see if the Human King that rampages through the chaos is as strong as he’s purported to be!

A large blade materialized within the chaos, cutting right through it with unbounded killing intent. The chaos lost color as red slaughter intent—the power of bloodshed—filled the surroundings.

This blow was unbelievably powerful!

The New Martial Human King swung down with his own weapon, a chilly look in his eyes. “So you bear hostile intent! I’d wanted to ask for directions, but there is no need for that now. Master of Nether Moon, is it? Just as I thought, you’re the same lowly, despicable type as the Red Moon master! Today, I will cut you down!”

The chaos trembled when his long blade whistled through it. A world floated up from the blade as the weapon swung—yin and yang appeared within it.

Blade intent filled the world!

There seemed to be nothing but the blade in the chaos universe. It glinted for one hundred million kilometers, its wielder so savagely arrogant that he was as if a demon king reborn in the mortal world. His roar shook the chaos!

“Nether Moon master, feel my wrath!”

Far off in the distance, another master of the world blinked with surprise. Nether Moon... master? Me? I’m right here... What’s going on?

Isn’t that yell coming from Utmost Dark major world? Its master is noticeably stronger than me. Is the New Martial Human King taunting him and saying that on purpose?

But doesn’t that also belittle me as well?

Or is he saying that on purpose so he can later tell others that he had the wrong person?

The master of Nether Moon frowned slightly at his conclusion, then sneered. The Human King was as devious as they said. He always played the fool!

His strength, however, was truly overwhelming. There weren’t many masters of the world in the chaos that could match him, were there?

The Nether Moon master considered the situation gravely.

Meanwhile, various worlds in the chaos were stunned at the Human King’s sudden appearance and action against Utmost Dark.

In an even more remote part of the universe, multiple overwhelming presences suddenly appeared in the gloom. A cat hovered the chaos, surrounded by apex powerhouses arrayed in the four cardinal directions. New Martial’s Supreme Zhang, Suppression King, Exalted Blood Emperor, Sun God...

A major world exploded with furious yells in return. How dare they!

New Martial was attacking two major worlds at once, and they were both premier major worlds!

......

Li Hao was still busy pushing open the Star Gate; the young man had no idea that the chaos was in a complete uproar. Those events were taking place very far away from him and weren’t detectable by ordinary exalted emperors. Only the masters of the world could detect a thing or two. The terrifying pressure exerted by these turn of events was targeted only at premier existences.

The Star Gate gradually creaked open. There was nothing outside but unending thunderclouds. The chaos tribulation!

It wasn’t infinite gloom or powerful foes welcoming Li Hao, not New Martial or Red Moon. It was simply thunderclouds that’d been lying in wait all this time. They even started forming humanoid figures of lightning the moment the door opened. The chaos tribulation immediately let loose with accumulated might!

It wanted to kill everyone in this world!

Thud!

The Star Gate swung wide. It was open!

Li Hao immediately sensed certain things—the power of time and a quick rebalancing of time. A very unique presence appeared for a split second both inside and outside the threshold, then vanished!

No one else detected it apart from Li Hao; the young man stared for a moment.

Time changed swiftly!

He resided in an exceedingly complicated condition; the chaos interfaced with Silver Moon. The flow of time inside and outside the Star Gate standardized into one stream!

The energy was so special that no one else could sense it. Li Hao could only because he had some personal reflections when it came to time. A blank look was in his eyes—they flowed at different speeds!

It wasn’t just the speed of time, but a peculiar dao that encompassed a multitude of things. It was different from his own dao of time.

While the young man was lost in thought, a pair of eyes opened outside the Star Gate. They shone as brightly as the moon and brightened with delight.

There were a bunch of weaklings in that world! Very, very weak nothings! And there really didn’t seem to be an exalted emperor around!

Its opportunity was at hand! This was a true stroke of fortune, one that wasn’t accompanied by any danger whatsoever. The chaos beast nearly burst out laughing.

It’d journeyed through the chaos for countless years, but this was its first time encountering a mid world without an exalted emperor! And the one who’d opened the door to the universe seemed to be staring around blankly. Was it terrified by the chaos tribulation?

That would make sense, even exalted emperors feared chaos tribulations!

“It’s open...” Li Hao breathed out with a complicated mix of emotions. The Star Gate was open!

The sparkling light of a sun or moon behind the thunderclouds clearly belonged to an incomparable existence. The young man wasn’t surprised at all, just astonished that there was only one enemy.

That scared me, I thought there would be a lot! Just one is doable. I wonder if it’s a chaos beast? It’d be for the best if it is. If not... we’ll be in some trouble.

But the Star Gate that’s been shut for one hundred thousand years has opened today!

Li Hao could sense the faint pressure from the gigantic eyes while he gave full rein to his emotions. It was plain to see that the chaos powerhouse wasn’t bothering to conceal itself. What was the point of doing so?

A newly born world without an exalted emperor, a mid world that’d spontaneously risen to its heights and faced a chaos tribulation... That world would be hard pressed to defend against the thunder and lightning even if it brought forth everything it had.

Today was the chaos beast’s lucky day!

If it had to hide and cower despite being an exalted emperor, wouldn’t that make it completely incompetent?

It was quite surprising that a newly born world could instantly set foot in the ranks of mid worlds. The chaos beast swept its eyes over Li Hao. This ought to be the strongest of this world, no?

Not bad at all! The human had the presence of a peak half step emperor!

But that was all it amounted to, the human wasn’t an exalted emperor.

Despite the differences in dao between major worlds, each exalted emperor had their own unique characteristic. At the very least, fellow exalted emperors could sense their peer’s might.

Li Hao didn’t have attention to spare for the lurking powerhouse; it was not critical. What was key was the chaos tribulation.

Humanoid figures of lightning appeared within the thunderclouds. Li Hao looked at them, but didn’t mind. He continued to ponder over time, speed, passage, the isolation of space...

The changes that took place in a split second gave him endless inspiration. There were shifts in space, speed, and the passage of time in various planes...

Just one moment had been the equivalent of ten million years for him. So the time differential between Silver Moon and the universe had been almost one thousand times!

Incredible!
