Star Gate-Chapter 1411: One Voice (I)
The central continent.
All denizens prayed.
Li Hao had fallen in battle, but could return to life from death. They prayed that he could be resurrected. Almost all Silver Moon citizens wished for Li Hao to be alive again.
Confidence was a natural state of mind with the young man around. What was Silver Moon to do without him?
Memories of the sky filled with thunder and lightning were sharp in their minds. There was also a furiously expanding world to deal with and monster spirits everywhere...
Those of Silver Moon didn’t trust anyone else to lead them through these times, if for none other than Skystar had resided in the feudal dark ages for hundreds of years before Li Hao. No one had been able to shift the tides.
Whether it was the nine ministries or Silver Moon martial masters, weren’t they all the same in the end?
After Li Hao appeared on the scene, he made swift work of all those entities. The nine ministries, royal family, three great organizations, ninety-nine provinces, seven divine mountains, ancient ruins, New Martial remnants... All of them had been swept into the trash!
He was invincible!
So when people learned that he’d died, their hearts trembled. Thankfully, he could be saved. But at the same time, countless hearts worried that something might go wrong with the process. If the young man stayed dead, would his proud troops and subordinates rebel?
That was a common theme for generations of dynasties! Whenever the overlord passed away, those beneath him quickly rose in revolt.
......
Skystar City.
The people were fearful.
The Skystar Commander Office.
Hong Yitang, Gan Wuliang, and others were in attendance. They were discussing how to fuse their daos together and attempt to light the star of time, so that Li Hao would have a chance to revitalize.
The star seemed to have become completely silent—shattered by the chaos tribulation. It remained unknown if it could burn brightly again.
As the group discussed how to quickly complete their prep work, a figure appeared soundlessly within the main hall.
No one paid attention to it at first, only the listless Panther. It suddenly turned its head and rose from its crouched position. Shock and joy filled its eyes the next second.
Li Hao hadn’t chosen to hide himself so he could observe the proceedings. There was no need to do so in his opinion. Even though he’d gone to the effort of dying, he’d only done so for some peace and quiet. He’d wanted to stay away from all of the nonsense that’d plagued him in recent times.
Who would’ve thought that Lin Hongyu would revive him so quickly?
He didn’t care if people like Gan Wuliang would rebel. Since he didn’t and possessed the strength to sweep through the world, why hide himself in the shadows? 𝙧𝙚𝙚𝔀𝒆𝓫𝓷𝙤𝓿𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝙤𝓶
There was no need for that.
“Arf!” Panther darted forward, its movement drawing the group’s attention. They followed the dog’s movement and froze. Some were horrified, others were overjoyed, and some were disbelieving.
Those who were horrified suspected that this person wasn’t Li Hao. The young man was dead, how could he be here? The resurrection efforts hadn’t even begun yet!
“His Lordship is back!” Gan Wuliang’s eyes widened and sheer delight appeared on his face. He sprang to his feet and rushed forward with utter glee. “My lord is alive again!”
That brought the rest to their senses. They were able to relax with relief when they saw Lin Hongyu chasing the young man. That left space for stunned incomprehension to flourish in their hearts. Hong Yitang was confused as well. He sized up their latest arrival. Was this... really Li Hao?
Everyone had seen how the thunder and lightning had struck him down. Although he had the ability to come back from death, they weren’t ready yet.
Li Hao inclined his head with a smile. “It’s only been a few hours, why does everyone not seem to recognize me anymore?”
Director General Zhao quickly stepped forward, first looking at Li Hao, then at Lin Hongyu. He even suspected that this was a replacement that Lin Hongyu had found somewhere, that she wanted to use Li Hao to consolidate her position.
But once he took a closer look at the young man, he could tell that this was the genuine article despite the lack of inherent presence.
Meanwhile, Gan Wuliang had confirmed with his first glance that this was Li Hao. The pressure and stifling sensation... only Li Hao could exert that on him. Not even Celestial Pole had that effect. Whenever Li Hao looked at him, he was always slightly anxious and felt like he was in hot water.
Gan Wuliang had truly never thought of rebelling, but he had certain thoughts of his own in mind. If Li Hao was unable to come back to life, then he would refuse to take orders from Lin Hongyu!
Gan Wuliang had hidden his thoughts deep in his heart and never spoken of them, but when Li Hao looked at him, it felt like the young man saw right through him. Gan Wuliang knew that he was most likely just being paranoid, but the truth was, he was quite panicky!
Even when he was the master of immaterial dao and peak sixth level Fused Dao, the equivalent of a peak Empyrean King, he still felt frantic.
“Congratulations to Your Lordship!” Director General Zhao promptly offered, some of the unease in his eyes fading away. He really had been afraid that Li Hao would be permanently dead. It was only a matter of time before problems appeared in Skystar then, such as a struggle between the two masters of dao or between Silver Moon martial masters and outsiders.
It was equally likely that there would be a clash between Silver Moon denizens and New Martial citizens. No one else could step in Li Hao’s shoes to induce everyone to exercise restraint. Hence, the director general was much more at ease with Li Hao’s revival.
“You guys have put in a great deal of effort!” Li Hao smiled. He walked forward at a leisurely pace and headed for the throne at the end. “Have a seat!”
Everyone took their places. They were all curious about this latest development and felt a great burden lifted off their shoulders. Pride and elation swept out the negative emotions that had been brewing. There had even been hints of barely veiled hostility that were now nowhere to be found.
Li Hao looked around—they were short on a lot of people. The New Martial contingent was almost completely absent. It looked like this had been a Lin Hongyu decision.
He didn’t say anything, but neither did he wish to explain himself twice. The void condensed in front of him and split apart when he reached in front of him.
A palace appeared in front of the crowd—the Great Li palace!
Li Hao blotted out the sky with his hand, like he was selecting objects from a mirror. His massive palm landed on the palace and he boomed, “Do not resist!”
There were quite a lot of people within the palace at the moment—almost all of the New Martial citizens.
Zhang An’s expression had changed drastically when the void split near them and he was about to make a move when he heard the voice. His eyes widened and he relaxed.
The Great Li king had reacted with outrage as well and instinctively punched at whoever was forcing themselves upon him.
The queen had turned herself into a ray of moonlight and was prepared to flee.
But in this moment, everything in the world came into Li Hao’s hand. Whether it was the fist or the moonlight, the young man grasped everything.
Those within the palace saw their surroundings dim, like they were traveling through space. They shifted thousands of kilometers in the span of a breath! They reappeared within the hall of Skystar City, jaws agape with incomprehension.
Zhang An quickly looked around and settled his gaze on Li Hao. “Congratulations!”
How terrifying! Zhang An even felt that the young man in front of him was already an exalted emperor! Had he... reached that kind of level?!
The Great Li king’s hand was still extended in a punch. He couldn’t believe his eyes. “Aren’t you... dead?”
“Surprise!”
“......” What was the king supposed to say to that?
Da fuck? What’s going on here? Didn’t they say that resurrection is supposed to be very hard? We’ve only just flown to the Great Li palace, but here you are, walking through the world again? Are you even human?? Bone Eclipse and the others died for nothing, didn’t they?
The queen quickly accepted what was happening in front of her, she only looked around to determine what the best avenue of escape would be. Having been yanked here through thousands of kilometers, she only felt that this guy was more frightening than he’d been at any previous moment.
She didn’t think for a second that he was an imposter. This one was definitely real! If he was fake, then this was a very convincing fake.
There was no need to study one’s presence or strength to determine an identity. Simply looking into the other’s eyes and listening to their tone was sufficient. Some people were distinctive enough just from their bearing.
The Great Li king blinked and looked around him. “This is... Skystar?”
“Skystar City, the Skystar Commander Office,” Li Hao responded. He summoned numerous more chairs with a wave of his hand. “Sit!”
Zhang An sank into an empty chair.
Some of the New Martial delegation wanted to say something, but quietly sat down when they saw how the supreme was.
“Silver Moon’s internal crisis has been temporarily resolved. As for my revival... there is no need to make a big deal about that. I wielded some power of time, after all. I won’t die that easily!
“Silver Moon world is in the middle of large-scale advancement. Everyone will benefit from this. Whether it is New Martial or Silver Moon, there are benefits in it for all. The rewards will not fall to one person alone!”
There was no need to make a big deal about his revival? What kind of joke was that??
Your previous resurrections were just spontaneous ones in the heat of battle. But this time, the chaos tribulation smote you into dust. Even the star of time has dimmed!
You can come back from even this??
And that wasn’t it!
They key is that you don’t have strength from the future anymore, but you yanked these guys from Great Li with one grasp. When an Empyrean King like the Great Li king punched back at you, he didn’t even raise a ripple!
What’s this supposed to be?!
“Have you improved again?” The king cut straight to the chase since the others didn’t feel they were at liberty to ask.
“You could say that,” Li Hao smiled.
“What do you mean you can say that?” the king pressed. “You hauled us here from such a far distance away. Have you verified your dao as an emperor?”
“Almost.”
Almost?? Why do you think that not even half step emperors are as strong as you? This is almost?
The Great Li king wanted to ask further, but reluctantly fell silent when he saw everyone stare at him. “Then just grab them, why grab this king?”
I’m not your subject!
“It was convenient,” Li Hao smiled again. “You’re the host. If I didn’t bring you along for the ride, you might think that everyone left without saying goodbye.”
...what... the... fuck do you mean... by that?
