After around three hours of flying in the sky, Cain finally saw a massive mountain that stretched high and wide. This mountain could be said to be the biggest mountain that Cain had ever seen, as the huge mountains he had encountered before were pale in comparison to it.

This mountain was called the Stormbeast Summit, where strong beasts roamed everywhere.

Even though his distance was still hundreds of kilometers away, he could still see it as if it were right in front of him. Not only that, even when he was still far away from it, he had detected Dominator Rank Beasts everywhere and even some that had reached the King Rank.

Along the way, Fenix kept leaking his strength, showing off that above the Ice Dragon, there was someone who had reached the Conqueror Rank Awakener.

Since Nix was only a GrandLord Rank Beast, many monsters would have attacked him if Fenix hadn't done so. It would have been like prey entering a tiger's den.

When they arrived around the perimeter of the mountain, Cain was surprised that he didn't detect any beasts at the Dominator Rank. Instead, his notifications were filled with beasts that had reached the King Rank.

"Where is it?" Cain asked as he glanced at the middle-aged man with red hair behind him.

"There!" the man replied, pointing his finger toward the northeast.

Cain nodded and tapped Nix's back softly, instructing him to fly in the direction the man was pointing.

However, before Cain was even halfway there, he noticed that a beast was coming toward him at a fast speed.

Cain wasn't surprised at all because he wasn't like the patriarch, who needed to be sneaky and find the safest route. The patriarch was only someone who had reached the peak of King Rank Awakener, whereas this place was filled with beasts around his rank, at the very least.

Cain's method was simple: just go directly toward the place without taking a safe route, as it would be too much of a hassle to do otherwise.

"Fenix, take care of it quickly," Cain said, waving his hand dismissively as he glanced at the incoming griffin, which had reached the Mid-level of Conqueror Rank.

Fenix smirked as he leaped off Nix's back, his feet landing lightly on the air as if it were solid ground. The griffin, a majestic beast with golden feathers and razor-sharp talons, let out a deafening screech as it charged toward him. Its wings beat furiously, creating gusts of wind that could topple trees, but Fenix remained unfazed.

"Let's have some fun," Fenix muttered, his voice carrying a playful tone.

With a flick of his wrist, Fenix summoned a pair of fiery wings made entirely of flames. The wings crackled and roared, casting an orange glow across the sky. They weren't as grand as the griffin's natural wings, but they were more than enough for Fenix to maneuver mid-air.

The griffin lunged at him, its talons gleaming with deadly intent. Fenix dodged effortlessly, his agility far surpassing the beast's. He darted around the griffin, taunting it with quick, precise movements.

"Too slow," Fenix teased as he narrowly avoided another swipe of the griffin's talons.

The griffin roared in frustration, its golden feathers bristling with anger. It unleashed a powerful skill [Golden Tempest], summoning a whirlwind of razor-sharp feathers that shot toward Fenix like arrows.

Fenix grinned as he used his [Ashstorm Surge] skill. A swirling storm of embers and ash erupted around him, neutralizing the griffin's attack. The fiery storm clashed with the golden feathers, creating a spectacular display of light and heat in the sky.

"Not bad," Fenix said, his tone still light and playful. "But let's see how you handle this."

He darted forward, his [Burning Slash] skill activating as his hands glowed with fiery energy. He then slashed at the griffin, leaving trails of fire in the air.

The griffin managed to dodge the first few strikes, but Fenix's speed was overwhelming. A single [Burning Slash] grazed the griffin's wing, leaving a scorched mark and causing the beast to screech in pain.

The griffin retaliated with its [Skyrend Claw], a skill that amplified the power of its talons. It lunged at Fenix, aiming to tear him apart, but Fenix simply laughed.

"Is that all you've got?" Fenix taunted, dodging the attack with ease.

He continued to toy with the griffin, using his [Ember Veins] skill to enhance his movements and keep the beast on its toes. The griffin grew increasingly frustrated, its attacks becoming more erratic and desperate.

Finally, after what felt like an eternity of playing around, Fenix decided it was time to end the fight.

"Alright, I've had enough fun," Fenix said, his tone shifting from playful to serious.

He then activated his [Infernal Ascendance] (SS- Rank Talent), and the air around him seemed to ignite.

Massive flaming wings erupted from his back, far grander than the simple ones he had created earlier. Radiant fire surrounded his body, and his presence alone scorched the air, causing the griffin to falter mid-flight.

The griffin let out a panicked screech, sensing the overwhelming power radiating from Fenix. It tried to retreat, but it was too late.

Fenix's eyes glowed with fiery intensity as he raised his hand. "Let's finish this."

With a single devastating [Burning Slash] skill, amplified by his Infernal Ascendance, Fenix unleashed a wave of fire that engulfed the griffin. The flames burned brighter and hotter than ever before, their destructive power doubled by his transformation.

The griffin let out one final, ear-piercing screech before its body was consumed by the inferno. When the flames subsided, all that remained was a burned corpse falling from the sky.

Subsequently, Fenix came towards the corpse and took the beast core before going towards Nix.

Retracting his flaming wings, Fenix landed gracefully on Nix's back. He glanced at Cain, who had been watching the entire fight with an amused expression as he petted the excited little wolf in his laps..

"Took you long enough," Cain sneered.

Fenix shrugged. "What can I say? I want to have a fun warm-up first."
