Aren didn’t want to stop this time; he immediately summoned Riker, who came out with a powerful slash, cutting right through the flames and saving Aren and Athena.
Riker then locked eyes with the attacker and, without hesitation, he bolted that way. Aren knew that Riker wouldn’t be enough; in fact, one or two summons would never be enough, so what he did next was summon Gang along with all his wolves. They all rushed out instantly, each one rushing for a guard.
The guards were all stunned to see the summons that were rushing their way, but Aren wasn’t done yet. He immediately unleashed his Minotaurs, as well as his ants.
His summons covered the roof in seconds, attacking instantly and immediately slowing down the enemies.
The leader of the guard was enraged by this. His eyes locked on the summon that he perceived was the strongest, which was Riker.
"Arghhh!" he roared and attacked, his whip cutting through the air in a clean arc. Riker was forced to block the attack. The power of the whip slammed into his sword and threw Riker back a few feet. He landed on the roof and looked up, and the guard was already closing in.
"Die!" the guard roared and attacked again. "Explosive Whip!" he bellowed. The whip cut through the air. Riker leaped back fast and dodged the attack. The whip hit the roof and instantly a massive explosion erupted.
BOOM
The entire roof was blasted, flames and smoke going in every direction, and from it came the guard, moving extremely fast as he attacked Riker again.
Riker dodged the whip, then lunged forward. He attacked with a powerful slash. The guard stepped back, evading the attack, then spun around to attack with the whip.
Riker was focused on the whip, and he was moving back to escape it, but that made him incapable of focusing on the guard, who had already moved in from the side and had pulled a sword, coming for a slash at the same time the whip was moving.
Riker blocked the whip.
BOOM
The explosion ripped through the air, creating the perfect cover for the already attacking guard, and now he was able to strike, thrusting right into the side of Riker and following with a blast of flames that burned off half of Riker in an instant.
The guard seemed to know that Riker was a summon, and so tried to finish him off. He pulled his whip back to attack again. Riker followed the attack as it came toward him, and for the first time, he was filled with rage. Seeing how easily he was about to be put down, he couldn’t allow it.
"Arghhhhhhh!" Riker roared and then swung with his only good hand. The blade made a clean arc through the air, drawing the focus of the guard.
"Hmph."
The guard scoffed at the attack and moved to block it easily. He used his sword and blocked the attack, thinking that was all, only for Riker’s hand that had been blasted away to instantly regenerate, throwing a punch that landed clean on the face of the guard.
The guard was pushed back, staggering in shock. He looked at Riker, who was already rushing at him.
"Stupid summon, I’ll not allow you to waste my time even more!" the guard roared. His sword erupted in flames, and so did his whip. He attacked with the whip first. A massive falling flame arc was all that Riker saw. He moved out of the way fast, only to be met with the flaming sword almost penetrating his face.
Riker couldn’t do anything in that moment, but right then, Fang lunged forward, attacking the guard and slamming him multiple feet away and into the hole in the roof that was broken by the explosion.
The guard fell through and also landed into the house below.
Riker and Fang stood there looking at the hole, watching to see if the guard was dead. There was no movement for a few seconds, so they thought he was done, only for the whip to come out of the hole and wrap around Riker’s leg, instantly pulling him inside.
Fang immediately jumped in as well. The both of them stood, looking at the guard who was still standing there, but he had changed. His helmet was no longer there. His face was revealed, a handsome young man with blood-red hair and eyes that looked like flames.
He looked at Riker and Fang. "I’ll find your master for certain, no matter where he runs to, because right now he holds something that belongs to my family, the Blade family, and no one runs from the Blade family." He said and then got into another stance, but this time that wasn’t all, as suddenly a tattoo of a flame formed around his eyes.
Instantly, the flames around his sword and his whip increased in intensity. He took one deep breath and lunged. Riker stepped forward, sword in hand, ready to take the attack, only for the man to suddenly lash with his whip, and it wrapped around a ceiling beam, instantly changing his attack path to Fang.
Both Riker and Fang weren’t expecting this. The man lunged and slashed down at Fang, who couldn’t escape. Riker, in that desperate moment, threw his sword with all his strength, and it slammed into the man’s sword and deflected the attack, giving Fang enough time to gather himself and strike.
Fang unleashed a flame and lightning attack. It slammed into the man’s chest and threw him back, slamming him through the wall, out of the house, and into another house through the wall.
Riker immediately picked up his sword and rushed through the hole, jumping into the next building and slashing down at the same time.
BOOM.
At the same time, Aren and Athena had already put a lot of distance between them and the fight. He could see everything that was going on, and he could already tell that Athena was the target after the guard said he held something that belonged to them.
