The air froze, everyone stared at Raze, their faces filled with confusion, shock, and a mix of every emotion.

"Why?" Aiden managed to utter.

Raze looked at him and let out a sigh. "Aren is an anomaly. Haven’t you seen his strength, haven’t you seen his growth? You all never questioned him, only followed. 𝙛𝒓𝓮𝙚𝔀𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝒐𝒎

His presence breaks the norm within the trial, and ever since the beginning, he has been targeted for death. Every bad thing that happens to your group is the fault of Aren.

The millipede attack, his fault. The giant, his fault. The closest you have ever been to death is all his fault, because he is meant to die.

"No, I blame you." Aiden spoke, stepping forward.

"I blame you because Aren didn’t ask for it, you gave it to him, and do you know what he did? He fought." Aiden said in anger, stepping forward. "From the very first trial, he fought. When all those things came against him, he fought.

And do you know what else he did? He fought for us here. Each one of us standing here is alive because Aren refused to stand down. You can try to make it seem like everything that happened was his fault, but it can’t ever be, because Aren sacrificed himself for us.

I know there is a lot that he hides, a part of him he hides from everyone, heck, even from himself. But Aren is the best person I have ever met, and the one person I look up to, because when all hope is lost, he comes swinging and he comes winning.

So I’ll be damned if I allow you to make him out as the issue, when you are the ones that have been trying to kill him, going as far as infiltrating his life and pretending to be a friend.

You are diabolical, evil, and disgusting, and I swear, I’ll hack you down for even considering hurting him." At this point, Aiden was fuming, eyes burning with rage.

Each member of the group stepped forward, standing beside Aiden.

"If you want to touch Aren, it will be over my dead body." Kira said.

"Aren is my test subject, you idiot. No one plays with what’s mine." Zero said.

Raze, who had felt he could reason with them and make them see how Aren was the issue, frowned in anger.

"I have heard enough. All of you can die." He said as he pulled his hand back with his sword and then dashed, unleashing a powerful golden sword arc, extremely gigantic and wide.

"Behind me now." Zero said and stepped forward, creating a dome that covered them all. The attack slammed into the dome as it shattered, but they were all safe.

"There is no point fighting me. I already know the abilities of all of you. I have watched you all." Raze said.

"Shit, your trap." Aiden roared as he burst forward at full speed. He thrust his sword for a stab, Raze parried it easily.

"Especially you, Aiden. I can see through your every move." Raze said as he reached forward and grabbed Aiden by the hand, then shot into the air with his wings.

"Let go." Aiden barked.

"Fine." Raze said and let go of Aiden before flapping his wings. The powerful wind force slammed into Aiden and sent him right to the ground.

BAM

"Tch, and I almost started liking you." Zero said as she unleashed a barrage of spatial spheres into the air, all attacking Raze.

He flew around, dodging each one as they exploded in the air, distorting the space around him.

Kira decided to join in on the attack and unleashed her ice lances. The combined attacks were meant to press Raze and push him away, but Raze wasn’t the Raze they knew. He was an avatar of a divine being, carrying divine energy within him.

"I’ve had enough of this." Raze said and slashed. The golden arc ripped through every one of their attacks, causing multiple explosions in the air.

He shot forward through the air like a rocket, heading for the group.

"No you don’t." Kira yelled and planted both hands into the ground as a massive ice wall rose to block him.

"WEAK!" Raze said before smashing through, only to be met with a chaos attack from Athena, who had opened her third eye.

BOOM.

The attack slammed right into his chest and sent Raze back through the air.

Aiden, who had recovered and was waiting for the right moment, lunged, sword in hand and rage in his eyes.

"Arghhhhhhhhhhhh!" His sword glowed, his speed doubled, he moved like a blur and then leaped into the air, slashing down at full speed.

BOOM

His attack landed clean and sent Raze to the ground. Raze hit the ground hard, bounced, and rolled for a few meters before coming to a stop.

"I’ll make sure you feel all the pain in this world." Aiden roared and charged ahead again. Zero felt something was wrong and yelled.

"Aiden, NO!" This was the first time she had ever screamed that loud. She tried to control the space and pull Aiden back, but it was too late.

Raze rose from the rubble so fast that he eluded the normal eyes of man. Aiden couldn’t even see him.

Then Raze rushed forward, grabbing Aiden by the neck faster than Aiden could react, his hand right around his throat.

Aiden was caught unaware. He tried to do something, but Raze used the base of his sword to hit him right in the gut so hard that Aiden dropped his sword and coughed blood.

When the group saw Aiden in the hands of Raze, fear gripped them.

"Aiden!" They all screamed.

Athena unleashed all the Eyes of Chaos she had, Kira rushed forward, Zero unleashed her true power, but would it be enough?
