Chapter 101: Dancing in the Sky—Ancient Jealousy

Leon could see she was just looking at him instead of around her. He had never been skydiving in his previous life, but he had seen the videos. It looked amazing—and now, he had to experience it with her.

The fall wasn’t fast, even though they were descending straight down, because he had used his wind element to slow the speed.

Still, it made him feel ecstatic that, when he asked her to look at the beautiful scenery, the first thing she looked at was him.

And that had been her natural reaction—otherwise, he would have assumed she was trying to flirt with him.

Let’s do it this way.

He decided to let go of his embrace, but not completely, as he still held both her hands. Now the wind pressure breezed past them as they fell down on their stomachs.

"Now look around. How does it feel?"

Seraphine did feel a bit grumpy, as the previous sight was still the best. Yet, as she looked around—feeling the gentle breeze of wind brushing across her face—she felt like she was flying, even though the descent was slow and steady.

She looked back at where they had jumped from—the rough, rocky high ground. Despite having only boring grey and brown tones, she had seen it for years, but it looked beautiful while falling from the sky.

It was thrilling.

Now she understood what Leon wanted her to experience. It could never match the previous view, but it was definitely a thrilling and mesmerizing experience. She should have been worried about whether she was going to survive the fall, but feeling his hands on hers, she knew she didn’t have to worry about that.

Looking down at the endless green while slowly falling was an experience of its own.

While she hovered beside him, Leon could still hear her laughter. She seemed genuinely joyful. However, he wasn’t finished yet. He wanted to offer her something lasting—something she would never forget.

He tightened his hold on her hands and summoned the wind once more, this time with greater precision. Instead of letting them drop, he shaped the air beneath their feet and backs, slowing their fall until they stopped in midair. Then, with a steady push of wind, he started lifting them, just enough to hold their bodies above the ground as if weight didn’t matter anymore.

They were floating.

Leon pulled her in slightly and began to move, guiding her through the air. It wasn’t just flying now. It felt more like dancing—a soft spin, a slow shift, a dip guided by his hand. Their feet never touched the ground, but it felt natural, like they were moving across something solid.

She blinked, still following his lead, and looked at him. "Leon, what are you—"

"A dance," he said.

The wind moved with them, gentle and quiet, following every turn he made. He kept the pace steady, getting used to how she responded to his motions. She followed without hesitation, her body moving easily with his.

And then she laughed again.

It wasn’t a noble laugh or a polite one. It was full and real, light and carefree. Her usual posture was gone, her expression completely relaxed. She tilted her head back, her hair spinning in the wind, and tightened her grip on his hands—not out of fear, but from how much she was enjoying it.

She looked at him, eyes bright. "This is amazing."

Leon just smiled and turned her again, letting the wind carry them in slow circles over the open grass. Her laughter didn’t stop, and for a moment, nothing else mattered—not her rank, not her responsibilities, not the image she usually held. There was only this—dancing through the air with someone who made her feel the best in the world.

They stayed like that for a while, floating and turning together, until the wind slowly began to lower them again. Even as their feet got closer to the ground, she didn’t let go. Her smile stayed. Her laughter softened, but it was still there.

That moment settled deep inside her—a memory she wouldn’t forget.

Once both their feet slowly touched the green grassland, Seraphine looked at him with a heartfelt smile on her face and eyes filled with endless love. She couldn’t contain it and gave him a long, deep hug.

Leon reciprocated the hug, his arms wrapping around her in a protective manner.

Inside an unknown place within the Dimensional Hourglass...

A woman with white eyes was sitting on an ancient-looking, velvet red throne. In front of her floated a screen, which showed her master and the woman from before hugging each other lovingly in a peaceful embrace.

For years, she had watched her master mating wildly with the same violet-haired woman. No matter how many times she watched, she never got bored. She had even done some things while watching them—things that didn’t suit her status.

But what could she do? For hundreds of thousands of years, she had been trapped in here. With no form of entertainment, she had become too bored. The sight of humans mating—something she would have never even considered watching—now gave her a thrill.

Especially when it was done by her young, handsome master, who was like a beast when it came to sexual things and pleasing a woman.

However, everything had been fine—thrilling and enjoyable to watch—but whenever they got all lovey-dovey like this, she felt irritated and annoyed for some reason.

And today it was just too much. She had witnessed their giggles and laughter, the foolish look in her eyes as they danced while falling from the sky.

It almost made her feel like her eyes were bleeding, and her stomach churned just from the sight alone.

She couldn’t put a finger on why she felt irritated and annoyed when they acted lovey-dovey, especially when even their mating didn’t cause that feeling and only made her excited.

Yet today, she detected another emotion from within her, which made her realize the cause of all this.

She was jealous.

When the woman had just been there for sex and pleasure, she hadn’t felt anything—only excitement to watch. But when she acted all lovey-dovey with her master, she felt angry and jealous. And the problem was, she had seen the look on her master’s face when he looked at her. They were clearly in love with each other.

Which irritated her even more.

She couldn’t accept the fact that a woman with such mediocre talent was with her master.

They should at least be as talented as I. Anything less would be disrespectful to my great master.

Hmph! I can’t wait for the day Master frees me. I will give him proper guidance.

Her mind was much calmer now, having realized why she had been feeling that way. She was only jealous of that woman, because even with such mediocre talent, she was so close to her master, while the great her was trapped inside a prison, unable to even meet him, or communicate with him as of now.

But what she feared was the fact that her master would collect more women besides the amethyst-eyed woman.

He didn’t seem like the person who abandons someone when he loved them, which she found noble, as in the world of cultivation, even the family couldn’t be trusted, but by watching them for a year, she knew their bond was unbreakable.

It’s not that she didn’t want her master to love someone; it’s just that it would only slow him down, especially when he needed to be much, much stronger to free her.

Her time in prison would be extended, which pisses her off, besides the fact that she doesn’t believe anyone below her talent was worthy of her master.
