SSS Awakening: Rebirth of the Strongest Vampire God-Chapter 101: Ignaros, The Great Lord of the Endtimes
Chapter 101: Ignaros, The Great Lord of the Endtimes
Damon clicked his tongue in disappointment and collected the loot. It was fine. Even his overpowered ability had to pay the dues for RNJesus. There was simply no one above it. Nothing that could not be solved by running the raid dungeon a couple more times. He was getting that rebirth ability one way or the other.
Besides, raising his fire resistance to B-rank was pretty straightforward. However, raising it any higher was also going to be a grind. This dungeon was a must farm on his list anyway, and he could farm these multiple things at the same time.
Damon decided to put this matter away for the time being and check the loot. Immediately, a smile appeared on his face. "Jackpot! We nabbed an Epic item!"

Ashen Rebirth was definitely going to come in handy. It was an absolutely broken ability that can be used for many strategic tactics. Damon quickly equipped the cloak. He then checked the next item.

"Not too bad. A rare-grade item." Damon knew that they would be getting good drops for clearing the dungeon for the very first time, but these items were simply too good. He had now upgraded many of his items.
Kate peeked over his shoulder. "You’re getting decked out in a whole damn volcano set."
"He He. Too bad only I can use these awesome drops." Damon grinned shamelessly.
"Ya. Funny how that worked out." Kate pouted playfully.
Mark just chuckled and did not say anything. In reality, neither of them cared anyway. It really did not matter who among the three got the loot.
Kate smirked and lightly elbowed Damon. "You keep hoarding all the fire gear, and soon people are going to start calling you the Flame God instead."
Damon mock-tilted his head, cloak flaring behind him like a molten banner. "Blood God. Flame God. Nah. Blood God sounds cooler."
Kate rolled her eyes and made a dramatic puking action. A deep groaning sound interrupted their banter as the huge final gate slowly opened up.
A deep, resonating pulse of heat breathed out from beyond the corridor, washing over them like a furnace exhaling. "You think this last guy’s going to be worse than the phoenix freak?" Kate raised a brow.
"Yup." Damon smiled. The last fight was the most horrible fight of all, and the boss was practically impossible to put down. However, there was a secret method to achieve it. In fact, he had chosen this dungeon especially because of the secret method.
Otherwise, he would have waited until Arya could brew some Fire Resistance potions, or perhaps he himself might have tried making some first.
Kate, Mark, and Damon entered the final room, and a wave of heat swept past them. On the other end of the room, there was a man sitting on a throne. His skin shimmered like cracked lava stone, and his eyes burned with twin suns that radiated searing intensity without blinking.
All of a sudden, he moved. He opened his eyes slowly, almost lazily, and exhaled a thin stream of smoke that coiled into the air like a dragon. "Three embers flicker into my domain... and dare to challenge me? The great Lord?"
[Ding! Final Boss Encounter Initiated: Ignaros, The Great Lord of the Endtimes (Lv. 39)]
He looked up and started muttering something in a different language.
Damon immediately cast Blessed Healing on all three of them. Blessed healing was a skill that gave 1000 health points over 10 seconds, and right now it was undoing the instant damage from the intense heat of the chamber.
"Run! Now!" Damon blinked to the right side of the big chamber and hid himself behind one of the cracked stone monoliths of the temple ruins.
Mark and Kate didn’t need to be told twice. The moment Damon appeared on the other side, they had already started dashing towards the right side. With their raw stats, they were able to get there in a couple of seconds.
It was good that they did because the next moment, the floor became lava, and all access to the left side and right side of the chamber was cut off. Basically, if anyone was in the center, they essentially became trapped there.
The whole floor turned into lava, save for the rock platforms that occasionally broke off from the ceiling and fell, floating on the lava pool. These also only remained stable for a few seconds before sinking into the lava pool.
For those who got caught in the center, this meant that they had to constantly keep moving around, just trying to survive. Because of the lava all around, the heat in the center was also extremely intense. Health would start plummeting, and no matter how many potions and skills were used, it would be impossible to keep up with the health drain.
On the other hand, those who made it to the side had things a lot easier. They were in a sort of safe zone and only had to endure the normal intense heat and not the hellish intense heat.
However, there was once again a time deadline. The three of them had exactly 30 seconds to bring down the boss’s health before all hell started to break loose.
"Go all out! Only long-range attacks!" Damon shouted and then began.
