Oh, she’d been too careless, so caught up in her own happiness that she had forgotten about Su Yan’s feelings!

Su Yan performed better than she usually did – could it be that coming in second place, behind her, was the reason for her dissatisfaction?

Worried that Su Yan might be upset, Jiayi said sweetly, "Xiaoyan, I actually think your work was much better than mine. I just got lucky this time!"

Su Yan paused and then smiled, "Did you think I was unhappy about getting second place? Silly girl. I was wondering, who filmed that video and how did it end up being shown at such an important event? It really did you a huge favor."

Jiayi had almost forgotten about this amid her excitement.

Jin University conducted a re-investigation of the theft in the girls’ dormitory, and the result was out. It turned out that Ye Shiman had instigated her best friend and confidante, Ding Fei, to steal the design drawings from the dormitory while Su Yan and Jiayi were in class.

Such a scandal had never happened before at Jin University, and it just so happened to break out during a design competition attended by societal elites. Even if Ye Shiman wanted to ask for leniency, there was nothing she could do. The university made a serious decision:

Ding Fei was expelled from the university.
