Chapter 95: The Invading World (4)

"It looks like someone wants to come up here and do the talking. I don’t want to hear a single noise again. You Werewolves are interrupting me and stopping the progression of this meeting. So, therefore, I would not take lightly, anyone that dares interrupt me again" The Progenitor said, warning them for the last time, his eyes gleaming dangerously scaring the hell out of the Werewolves.

At this point they knew that pushing the progenitor further by angering him more would end up in a blood bath, so everyone shut their maw up, curse their luck, and swore in their mind never to speak till they are out of this place, lest, they end up dying prematurely at the hands of their progenitor.

"After thinking through everything, I have finally concluded. And here is how we deal with this: Instead of rushing outside into the dungeon-like fools, we should send a spy, one we trust to have a high tolerance to human blood. She must spy on the human world, tell us of their average strength, their strength and weaknesses that we should be able to take advantage of, and many more other things Spy should know of"

The majority of the crowd wanted to start the hunt this instant as they could not hold themselves anymore.

But none of them dare to speak it out as anyone foolish enough to do that is courting death and would be killed once the Progenitor was angered.

So they could only nod with an affirmation to what the progenitor said despite when their heart is clearly somewhere else.

But yet, they knew this plan is the best yet. Rushing outside without thinking everything through would only lead them to their deaths.

So despite their bloodlust trying to force them to think otherwise, they knew that their Progenitor’s plan is doable.

So, at the end of it all, they all agreed with him.

Upon seeing them act in a tamed and almost civilized manner which was a complete contrast to their beastly werewolf self, the Progenitor nodded in satisfaction before saying:

"I trust you to agree with me when I leave this task to my trusted subordinate, Vero. I created her for tasks like this"

After he said this, a female-looking werewolf walked forward from the crowd. She was one of the Progenitor’s servants, and she was the werewolf that was in the forest at the time the dungeon vortex appeared.

Though she served under the progenitor and became a werewolf through his bite she was just like any other normal werewolf, she did not have silver fur on the back like the members of the Progenitor’s Clan.

She went in front of the Progenitor before bowing and kneeling with one leg down to express her courtesy. "Your wish is my Command, Lord Progenitor"

It was quite hilarious to watch a werewolf now kneel with one leg down because this action only fitted the human race.

"Good..." The Progenitor was satisfied with her show of courtesy.

But after saying this, he turned to the crowd living Werewolf Vero in her position.

"You all must have guessed the reason I choose her, if not then you nuisance werewolves should start calling yourself dumb"

He wanted to tell them why he choose Vero, some of them might have guessed while some must be too dumb to guess something as simple as that.

Why was he even bothering to explain things to them? It’s all because even if he is the strongest and is the head of the Werewolf’s race in this world, he can’t just make decisions like this without telling them why.

They needed to know why he was sending Vero, not them because they are all in this together, even if he is the strongest, he cannot go fight the entire human race alone, or he will be met with utter defeat.

So without further ado, he started telling them why:

"You all must have known that Vero was once a Human. I created her by biting a human without killing the human, after some time, she started showing signs of werewolf transformation"

"So from then on I started studying her, I found out that she would switch between her human form and her werewolf form whenever she gets angered"

Multiple gasps could be heard as this was news for the werewolves. They always kill and eat any human they encounter so they had never tried something like this ever before.

But they did not dare say a word, only letting out a low gasp, as they did not want to anger their progenitor and be turned into minced meat. ƒrēewebnoѵёl.cσm

And there was also his aura, which they currently dreaded like hell right now, so the place turned out to be silent with only the progenitor’s voice breaking the silence from time to time.

"But she was always weakened whenever she returned to her human form from her werewolf form. After studying her for a long time, I found out that she could no longer transfer back to her human form again"

His words right now shattered the hope and plan the werewolves formulated in their hearts, thinking that the progenitor chose Vero so that she will use her human form and infiltrate the human world.

But now, that was not the case as Vero could no longer go back to her human form, ever again.

But they couldn’t help but ask themselves why, if this was not the case then just what was the case?

’Progenitor is playing with our emotions, why can’t he tell us straight why he choose her instead of putting us in suspension’ A werewolf at the back, said in his mind, secretly glaring at the progenitor. Wanting to punch the hell out of the progenitor’s face. But then he noticed the progenitor looking at him with the glowing Scarlett red eyes and he shivered.

’Common tell us already’ Another werewolf mused to itself impatiently.

’Isn’t he taking this too far, I can’t wait any longer’

Just like that, all the Werewolves started protesting in their mind, but they did not dare speak it out.

Meanwhile, the progenitor sent threatening glares to all those having these thoughts, especially to the one that was secretly glaring at him, Scaring the soul of the poor Werewolf out of his body.
