Sold as the Alpha King's Breeder-Chapter 1585 - 27 : Toying with Moonlight
*Kryzen*
Celestial City had been eerily peaceful the past few days, which did nothing but make me irritable. It felt like it was toying with us in a way, just like right before the shadow creatures appeared at the ball. One moment, there was laughter and good cheer, and the next, we were riddled with fear and horror.
The reason for the peace was that Alpha Ray had done as he planned and had sorcerers and other highly skilled magic wielders stationed all over the city. It brought some comfort to the citizens of Celestial City but not to Briella, Roy, and me.
If the sorcerers and elders were so powerful, there wouldn’t be this essence of dark energy still haunting the city. This time of peace just felt temporary, like the calm before the storm.
It would have been easy to call the battle downtown as the resolution to this story. We could have left, but we all knew deep down that we weren’t done yet. We had no choice but to try and settle in the city and fall into a routine as we continued to investigate the situation.
The whole ordeal had me on edge.
Somehow, all the turmoil and threat of dark creatures was nothing compared to the tension I felt when I watched Briella and Drius together.
It was late, the moon already at its peak in the night sky. We were all just getting ready to head to sleep when I witnessed Briella and her childhood friend saying goodnight.
They didn’t notice me waiting for them to move out of the hallway so I could retire in the room that Roy and I had been forced to share because of Drius. Briella looked up at her friend.
“See you in the morning,” she said casually.
“Bri.”
I clenched my jaw, finding that I hated the way he said her nickname. It just sounded wrong somehow, like he was using it to take possession of her.
“What’s wrong?” Briella asked, tilting her head in confusion.
My fists clenched at my sides as Drius lifted his head and tucked a strand of hair behind Briella’s ear, his fingers lingering on the skin of her cheek for far too long.
Briella’s eyes widened, but I couldn’t stand to watch any longer for her reaction. I turned and practically burst out of the front door, sprinting down the street as if I was being chased.
I must have run for quite a while since I eventually found myself in the middle of a large park. I looked around, relieved to find that I was alone. That shouldn’t have been that surprising since it was the middle of the night.
My shoulders slumped slightly.
“I might as well train while I’m out here,” I muttered to myself, dropping into a casual fighting stance.
I drew in a breath and threw out a couple of swift kicks and punches, allowing myself to get lost in the movements. I felt powerful as my muscles propelled me forward.
I gritted my teeth when Briella’s heart-shaped face flashed in my head, throwing me off a bit and ruining my form. I cursed under my breath, trying to force my body back into control, but then I heard her soft, contagious laughter in my mind.
She was invading my thoughts constantly nowadays, and it was beginning to overtake every aspect of my day, even during quiet moments like this one when we were apart.
I froze mid-punch as I heard footsteps approaching me. I pulled a dagger out of my belt and whirled around, point extended outward.
My eyes widened. I quickly lowered the blade when I met Briella’s frightened green eyes. She put her hands up quickly. “It’s me!”
I relaxed and stared at her for a moment, shocked to see her considering I was just trying to push her out of my thoughts, and yet, there she stood.
She looked away from me, clearly embarrassed. “Sorry,” she mumbled. “I didn’t think I was going to freak you out like that.”
I found that I liked the way her cheeks pinkened. The color was extremely flattering against her creamy skin. I shook my head hard at the thought and smirked at her. “Were you stalking me?”
I had meant it to be teasing, but Briella just looked more humiliated. She refused to meet my gaze. “You just took off so fast... I guess I was worried for some reason.”
She had said it so quietly, but I knew I heard her right. I felt shock course through me. I stepped closer to her, ducking my head slightly so I could get a better look at her face. “You were worried about me? Why?”
She stiffened but didn’t answer, her cheeks darkening to a delicious red hue, the color spreading to the tips of her ears.
My heart started to race as I stared at her, stepping even closer to her so we were just an arm’s reach apart. “Briella,” I said firmly, waiting for her to look up reluctantly before repeating myself. “Why were you worried about me?”
She gasped slightly as our gazes locked. She bit her lip, looking shy as the blood beneath her skin burned even brighter. She looked so sexy at that moment in her tight training clothes and the moonlight toying with her wavy dark hair.
I closed the space between us and did something my body had been dying to do for weeks.
I kissed her.

*Briella*
Everything clicked into place as Kryzen’s lips pressed against mine. I could feel my eyes threaten to pop out of my head as I froze initially but then shut my eyes and practically melted against his strong form.
I had acted without thinking, running after Kryzen as if my life depended on it. I felt foolish for doing so, wondering if the stress of the whole situation was getting to me.
I knew the truth now.
I wanted him. I wanted Kryzen Stormfall in the same way that I needed air to breathe and food to keep me satiated. I wanted him with my whole body, mind, and soul.
“Briella...”
I gasped with pleasure at the way he murmured my name against my mouth as if he were saying the name of a deity. My hands flew upward to the back of his head, my fingers tangling in his dark raven locks.
Kryzen growled suddenly, grabbing my hair and pulling it back so that the skin of my neck was exposed. I whimpered as he began to trail kisses along the sensitive area. He lingered right on my pulse point, his tongue tasting the spot, causing my nerves to catch fire.
I looked into his stormy gray eyes and saw the desire swimming in them as he grasped the hem of my tight training shirt. In seconds, he slipped it off of my body and tossed it behind him. He lowered his mouth to mine again as he began to unhook my black bra, his fingers skimming along the skin of my breasts as he pulled it away from me.
The chill of the night air caused me to cover my chest. I couldn’t deny the shyness as well as being exposed to his intense gaze and the very public park we were in.
Kryzen smirked, but his eyes were serious and darkening quickly. He grabbed my wrists and gently pushed them down. “Don’t hide from me,” he ordered hotly, dropping a kiss to one of my full breasts and then the other, causing my head to tilt backward, practically begging him to explore the rest of my body.
He complied with the silent request, continuing to strip me of the rest of my clothing, roughly pushing my skin-tight pants and panties to my knees and then entirely off, leaving me completely bare to the moonlight and Kryzen’s intense gaze.
Kryzen suddenly scooped me up in his arms, cradling me to his chest. I felt his strength as he picked me up as if I weighed nothing. He lowered me to the ground carefully. The grass was impossibly soft on my back.
His eyes darkened further as he reached for the buttons on his shirt, undoing them with quick precision. My mouth watered as his chiseled chest came into view. He shoved his pants down as well, his dark boxers quickly following. My jaw dropped as his thick cock stood at attention for me, practically begging for my attention.
I kneeled up, grabbing hold of the base, marveling at the warmth and size of it as I pumped my hand around it a few times, causing Kryzen to groan beautifully. His jaw was tight, but his eyes were eager as he watched me.
I was just about to take him in my mouth when he tackled me to the ground, trapping me between his muscular arms. He kissed me hard, delving his tongue into my mouth swiftly, tasting me.
“You’re a bold little thing, aren’t you,” he growled, gripping my hip hard in one hand.
I threw my head back with a gasp when I felt his thick length tease the entrance of my pussy.
I felt him smirk against my mouth. “You want that, Briella? Perhaps I should make you ask for it.”
I cried out in disdain, feeling the need pounding in my ears. I jerked my hips upward, needing to feel him inside of me and feeling like I would burst if I didn’t.
“Uh-uh,” he scolded. I wanted to sink my teeth into his shoulder at the way he was teasing me. “Ask for it, Briella.” The irony wasn’t lost on me. Even while making love, we were always going to be fighting one another, indulging in this power play.
“Kryzen,” I gasped.
He froze, staring down at me with so much desire as I said his name for the first time.
He didn’t wait for me to ask, seemingly overcome by the sound of his name on my lips. He thrust into me so suddenly that I cried out at the sudden fullness but then quickly relaxed and melted as he began to move smoothly in and out of me.
I felt my toes curl in the grass as our bodies moved as one, the heat of Kryzen’s skin reacting with mine and creating sparks between us.
My breaths were coming out in gasps as Kryzen continued to ride me, his movements sure and rough as he held me down against the grass as if I had any intention of moving. At one particularly powerful thrust, I cried out as an orgasm washed over me, causing my bones to tremble as stars danced in my vision.
Kryzen stilled inside of me, allowing me to clench and tighten around his thick length. Just as I was nearing the end of the climax, he began to move fluidly, rocking his hips with fervor. His lips found mine as he went. He seemed to go as deep as he could go before he too finished, filling me with his warm seed.
I gripped his shoulders, crying out as another round of pleasure rippled through me. I held Kryzen close to me, feeling his body shiver and taking delight in the fact that I was the one who caused it.
Our bodies finally relaxed at the same time. I listened to the sounds around us, the nighttime bugs chirping and the breeze rustling the nearby leaves on the trees. As I shut my eyes, I realized that amidst all the chaos, I was at peace. Kryzen and I were in our own little world as we lay in each other’s arms.
