Slowly Falling into His Love Trap-Chapter 89: Madam, Come to My Side
James Lockwood’s words had not yet finished when Caden Lockwood interrupted him, saying in a deep voice, "Let me say it."
James’ brow furrowed tightly. He had already made things so clear, just short of saying Eleanor Keaton’s name. The Keaton Family only had Eleanor as their heiress. He didn’t believe that Caden could have any other tricks up his sleeve.
However, Caden never played by the rules, so James still had to be cautious.
"Don’t joke about your own future," James warned, "Eleanor is actually a great kid."
After much thought and discussing with the Keaton Family, they believed that having Caden marry Eleanor was the best choice.
James would not let anything happen that was out of his control.
Caden’s lips curved into a very faint smile. He stepped forward, glanced at the crowd, and then his gaze fell in the direction where Eleanor stood, saying in a deep voice, "Madam, come to my side."
Eleanor was overjoyed. She knew that Evelyn, with her "servant" status, would definitely be abandoned by Caden.
She finally got her wish, becoming Caden’s fiancée!
Glancing at Evelyn beside her, Eleanor proudly said, "Evelyn, Brother Caden was just playing with you. I’m the one he will truly marry!"
With that, Eleanor stepped forward, her face blossoming with a radiant smile. She looked at Caden coquettishly, a blush appearing on her face.
"Brother Caden," she said charmingly, "I will try my best to be a good wife for you, not bringing shame to you or the Lockwood Family! I love you! Marrying you makes me feel so happy!"
Watching the figures of Eleanor and Caden standing together, Evelyn couldn’t help but shift her gaze away, an inexplicable emotion welling up inside her.
That emotion dissipated so quickly that she couldn’t even identify it.
However, Eleanor and Caden were indeed a match made in heaven, both in terms of family background, appearance, and education.
Taking a gentle breath, Evelyn felt that Eleanor’s goal had been achieved, and staying here would only be unnecessary.
Turning around, she walked step by step out of the crowd, leaving only a dim silhouette behind.
"Madam, if you’re not coming to my side, where are you planning to go?" Caden suddenly called out.
Evelyn glanced back, thinking something had happened on stage.
But seeing Caden walking towards her, she suddenly realized that the "Madam" he called might actually be her.
Caden’s steps towards Evelyn were firm, his gaze fixed on her, unwilling to shift away, like a spotlight in the darkness illuminating her, while everyone else was just a backdrop.
Her amber eyes widened slightly, and Evelyn looked around; she had already stepped out of the crowd, and she was the only one standing there.
Was he really calling her?
Seeing Evelyn in a daze, Caden’s lips curved into a fond, chaotic smile, making his handsome appearance even more striking.
All eyes that fell on Evelyn were filled with surprise, anger, and envy; she effortlessly became the focus of the entire scene.
Especially, she became the focus in the eyes of Caden, this supreme Young Lord.
Standing in front of Evelyn, Caden took her hand, softly saying, "Madam, come with me to meet my father."
Hearing these few short words, Evelyn felt all the hairs on her body stand on end.
She stared at him blankly, forgetting even to blink.
The surrounding onlookers whispered to each other, all thinking Evelyn was a servant of Eleanor. But now, it seemed the rumors that Caden fell in love with a girl from a poor family were true!
