Slowly Falling into His Love Trap-Chapter 76: Let’s Get Married
Evelyn was at a loss and could only steel herself to sit properly, her gaze frozen and not daring to look in Caden Lockwood’s direction.
She kept waiting, waiting for a long, long time, yet he hadn’t said a word.
She lay on the massage chair, her body enjoying the machine’s service, the kneading and tapping relieving her fatigue, feeling so comfortable.
In such a soothing environment, her eyelids drooped, and she was about to fall asleep.
Trying to perk herself up and not hearing him speak, she once again fell into a light sleep.
She seemed to have no intention of speaking first, just foolishly waiting, feeling that whatever he was about to announce was something significant and perhaps not good for her.
Some troubles are better left unbidden!
Unknowingly, she fell asleep while waiting.
Hearing the even breathing of the woman beside him, Caden Lockwood’s stiff gaze, almost fixed, slowly returned from the sky, lightly landing on Evelyn.
She seemed utterly exhausted, her slender body in the massage chair so fragile, as if about to be consumed.
His handsome face darkened, his deep, pool-like black eyes flickered with something complex, and he moved slightly, facing her directly.
He kept his eyes on her as if assessing the most perfect piece of art, so serious, so thorough, and so delighted.
"Let’s get married." He parted his thin lips, "Erin Morgan, let’s get married!"
The warm yellow light shone on her face, illuminating her pretty visage, her long eyelashes like resting butterflies that, once taking flight, would display dazzling brilliance.
This woman, was she really asleep?
A surge of tenderness welled up in his heart, and he couldn’t help but reach out, caressing the softness of her cheek.
She had no reaction, lying there, oblivious to the world, as if allowing him to act as he pleased.
A breathtakingly handsome smile touched his lips as he rose to carry her.
She cooperatively stayed in his embrace, her small hands clutching his shirt, sleeping soundly.
His smile widened as he carried her back to the bedroom, gently placing her on the soft, large bed, softly, slowly, not wishing to wake her.
Having found the bed, she slept even more soundly.
"Erin Morgan, you really dare to sleep!" His deep voice was slightly hoarse, his Adam’s apple slid profoundly, "Aren’t you afraid of what I might do to you?"
Her deep sleep gave him the answer: No fear.
He couldn’t help but ponder: Am I really that much of a gentleman?
His well-fitted trousers gradually tightened, his desire for her never ceased.
Continuously restraining his desire was truly not his way.
Why not, while she was on his bed, just sleep with her?
Oh God!
Doing so might scare her to tears!
If those beautiful eyes wept because of him, his heart would ache.
Damn!
This woman had such an ability to make him helpless!
Annoyedly tugging at his tie, Caden Lockwood casually opened a drawer, and a delicate gift box caught his eye.
His eyes filled with intense satisfaction, and looking back at Evelyn, he quickly tidied himself, joining her in bed.
Holding her in his arms, inhaling her faint hair fragrance, his body was again uncontrollably stirred, like there was a fire burning him.
"Troublesome little enchantress!" he gritted his teeth bitterly.
