Chapter 51: Chapter 51: He’s Attracted to Her—And Not Just Physically

Caden Lockwood’s brow furrowed; sometimes Julian Keaton’s persistence was even more nagging than a woman’s.

"Caden, listen to me. There are so many women in the world, why do you have to be fixated on Evelyn Morgan..."

"I’ve tried." Caden suddenly opened his eyes, staring straight at Julian, his dark pupils flashing with an intense, indiscernible something.

Rex was frowning tightly, only to hear Caden continue, "No one else will do except her."

"But..."

"I know what I’m doing," Caden said in a deep voice.

"You just want her body, right? Then take it! She can sleep with you every day, but you don’t have to make her Mrs. Lockwood, do you?" Julian asked. "Though doing so is a bit shameless, it’s better than the pain you’ll face later!"

Julian knew Caden too well; he was probably afraid that Evelyn Morgan was either already Mrs. Lockwood or was about to become Mrs. Lockwood.

Caden stood up, took a step forward, and closed in on Julian.

"I have feelings for her," Caden said word by word, "and it’s not just physical."

The brief words changed Julian’s complexion; they had grown up together and knew each other’s temperament inside and out.

Since Caden had already made up his mind, any more persuasion was in vain.

Julian was helpless and could only accept the result presented at the moment.

"Though I’m a bit worried, life should have some challenges and adventures!" Julian raised his eyebrows with a light smile, "But how are you going to talk to your family about your plans to get married?"

Caden’s lips curled into a rebellious smile, the cold light in his dark eyes full of confidence and composure, "They’ll naturally come to me first."

Julian was stunned at first, then a knowing smile appeared on his lips, "You’re finally going to lose your bachelorhood, congratulations!"

Caden glanced at Julian; was it worth congratulating at this age just to start losing one’s single status?

He had kept that little nymph close for so many years, he should have been out of bachelorhood long ago!

"But, what does that girl’s special service mean?" Julian asked with interest, "Caden, if no one had knocked, would you really have forced yourself on that girl?"

Caden’s brows tightened, and Julian pointed to the window, a large, unobstructed area where one could see everything on the bed.

"If you see something you shouldn’t, dig out your eyes yourself." Leaving a cool, harsh line, Caden left with a swaggering, arrogant air.

"I covered my eyes, only listening with my ears!" Julian shouted after him, "Your chats have so much gossip to dig into! Caden, don’t you want to pour your heart out? Talk to me! I’m very willing to listen!"

"If you continue gossiping, I don’t mind throwing Eleanor Keaton into the sea never to come up again," Caden said faintly, threateningly.

Seeing Julian’s face change instantly, Caden smugly patted his shoulder, striding away with a swaggering confidence in every step.

...

Since returning from the cruise, no matter how Evelyn Morgan questioned Cecilia Lynch with some doubts, Cecilia always dodged the questions.

Evelyn was helpless, especially now that she couldn’t study well at school; whenever people saw her, the topic was about her and her husband.

She sighed helplessly, having so many questions about her uncle, yet no one to provide answers. Her heart remained in her throat, and her eyelids kept twitching; she always felt something big was about to happen.
