Sinner System-Chapter 540: Final Dungeon - Sixth Floor (Part 8)
Point-of-View: Jaden Xeno

"[Telekinetic Shroud]!" I exclaimed as Telekinetic Surge faded away, mustering up the last bit of my Mana and concentrating telekinetic energy over my chest as the hammer closed in.
A loud crunch rang out as the hammer collided against my chest with a crushing impact, caving in my ribcage and slamming my back against the barrier, blood pouring out of my mouth as my vision blurred sharply, before I clenched my fists and unleashed a telekinetic burst, pushing him back a few meters.
I let out an agonized cough as blood gushed out of my mouth, my chest heaving as I struggled to breath, my chest wracked with pain.
"I will be dead in a matter of seconds...you dealt fatal damage to my Core, Jaden Xeno. But I...I’m still standing. I may die, but I...I have no lost yet! This...this shall be...my final attack," He declared, drawing his hammer back as blood continued streaming out of the left side of his torso, looking unsteady on his feet.
His eyes were fluttering, the light in them slowly but surely starting to diminish, and he was trembling in pain from head to toe.
I let out a slow exhale, channeling the last drops of my Mana into my left hand, forming a shaky telekinetic blade as I met his gaze, the two of us staring each other down with a growing sense of tension.
And then, we both shot towards each other simultaneously, before I gritted my teeth and lunged forward as we closed in on each other, his hammer barreling towards the top of my head with immense force.
I ducked my head down as low as I could, whipping my telekinetic blade at the middle of his torso from his left.
My vision spun sharply with a burst of pain as the hammer clipped the top of head with a powerful thud, splitting my skull open...as I simultaneously sliced right through the left side of his Core and shot past him.
I collapsed onto my knees as I felt my hair getting matted down by the blood streaming down the top of my head, before shakily turning my gaze back as my vision blurred sharply, just in time to see him collapse onto his knees, his hammer hitting the ground with a thud as it felt out of his grasp.
"Well...well fought, Jaden Xeno...what a...what a magnificent battle this was," He uttered, his voice strained and shaky, and yet, content at the same time.
A firm thud echoed out as he fell over and the ground, slumping against the-...h-huh?
W-Woah, I...I feel so woozy. M-My head is...is spinning like crazy, and I-...everything’s starting...to go...dark...

"Brid, quickly!" I called out urgently, as the barrier faded.
"On it, GM!" He exclaimed, as he rushed over towards Jaden and knelt down beside him, before chanting as he placed his hand upon him, "Okay, [Greater Anesthesia], [Regeneration]."
Jaden’s expression eased up as his injuries healed, his right arm straightening back out and the swelling around his left arm receding.
The blood streaming out of his head slowed down before coming to a stop as his skull closed up, his breathing growing more stable as his ribs healed, buffing his chest out.
"This should help too, [High Stamina Recovery], [High Mana Recovery]," Chimed in Jax, color returning to Jaden’s face, right as we got teleported up to the next floor.
Hm? A desert terrain again? No, this sand, it’s damp, and this salty smell in the air...is this, like, a beach terrain? I’ve never seen this before-...no, more importantly, I should make sure that Jaden’s okay first.
"How is he?" I asked Jax and Brid, as the others gathered too.
"He’s fine, all his injuries have been taken care of, and his condition is stable now," Brid informed me.
"And I’ve fully topped up his Mana and stamina, so he should regain consciousness before too long," Added Jax with a thumbs up.
"But there’s no telling how long it could take for him to regain consciousness on his own, so I guess we should wake him up, huh?" Remarked Aria, before adding, "Oh, and I managed to grab the Personalis Arma before we got teleported up here."
"Good work, let’s decide who to give it to after we wake Jaden up," I replied with a smile.
"Heh, leave it to me, guys. I’ll wake him up nice and quick," Volunteered Aarav, kneeling down beside Jaden and plugging his nose.
A few seconds passed, before Jaden’s brow furrowed slightly, letting out a slight mutter of discomfort.
Suddenly, he sat up with a start, a snort echoing out before Aarav let go of his nose with a wry smile.
"Wha...?"
"Hey, man, welcome back," Aarav greeted him with a smile, giving him a pat on the shoulder.
"Huh? Oh...I won? That last bit of the fight is a bit of a blur, I do remember thinking at some point that I was going to die," He muttered, looking a bit disoriented as Aarav helped him back onto his feet.
"Well, it was pretty close, you took a pretty alarming amount of damage. Your lungs were pierced all over by your broken ribs, it’s a bit of a miracle that your heart wasn’t so much as scratched. Still, it’s incredible that you were able to move at all in that state," Remarked Brid in awe.
"Well, we X-Aces are pretty durable, but yeah, that was rough...it hurt to breathe," Recalled Jaden wearily, before adding as he glanced around, "So, uh...why are we at a beach?"
"I was thinking the same thing, the air smells so salty. I’ve seen a lot of different Dungeon terrains, but this is definitely a first," Responded Ciel, as she looked around.
"This is it, the last of the Sentinels. Avaritia, Gula, give us all the info you’ve got on our next opponent. But, before that...," I trailed off, before glancing at the Aces and adding, "Let’s figure out which of the three of you should get the latest Personalis Arma we’ve got our hands on, shall we?"
