As the four of us began to surround Medusa, she suddenly turned around and rapidly slithered towards the lake in the middle of the space.
Ira raced across and got in her way, before she let out a snarl and lunged at him, ducking as he fired out a drilling blast of Ether at her head, evading it before striking his side with the back of her fist as she closed in, sending him hurting across to the right.
As he unleashed a burst of Ether to cancel out the momentum, Medusa disappeared into the water, before I launched myself up into the air with pressurized jets of Negative Energy, while Ira shot towards Avaritia, grabbing her shoulders and lifting her off the ground, as Acedia shot towards the lake, intense sparks of lightning crackling around him.
He leapt forward and fired out devastating bolt of lightning towards the lake, a deafening crackle ringing out as the blasts collided against the water and erupted across the surface. Acedia then unleashed a barrage of lightning blasts at the lake, bright electric flashes bursting out upon impact.
Suddenly, petrifying beams came shooting out of the water towards him, grazing his right arm as he quickly shuffled across to his left.
He whipped his left arm up, slicing through his right bicep with his claws and severing his arm before the petrification could spread, right as a loud splash rang out, as Medusa burst out of the water with a deafening roar of fury.
Ira swiftly flung Avaritia down towards Medusa, Avaritia letting out a snarl before driving her claws down as she closed in, piercing into Medusa’s shoulders and pinning her to the ground.
She drove her claws further in and gave them a sharp twist as Medusa’s eyes began glowing, eliciting a sharp snarl of pain, the glow of her eyes fading.
Acedia rushed in and grabbed the end of her tail as she began to thrash about, holding it down and restraining her, right as I swooped down while chanting...

Avaritia swiftly yanked her claws out and leapt off Medusa as I closed in, driving my feet straight towards the middle of her body.
She began to get back up, but it was too late, as my feet came into contact with her scaly skin, the dark energy wrapped around me eating straight through her, reaching her Core in nearly an instant, before erasing it completely.
She seized up with a sharp gasp, before going limp and collapsing, her head falling to the right as she slumped against the mud.
I deactivated Devour: Cloak and stepped back, Acedia letting out a sigh of relief from behind me as he let go of her tail, right as Ira landed to my left, next to Avaritia, and-...

"What the...? What happened?! He just collapsed all of a sudden!" Exclaimed Jaden, as the others rushed over and gathered around Kai.
He was laying still on the grass, a blank look on his face. His eyes were half-shut, making him look dazed. He’s definitely not conscious, but his breathing seems stable, at least.
"Calm down, guys, it’s fine. Completing the full set of seven Apostles seems to have triggered something. I heard something about a hidden bonus, so it definitely isn’t anything bad, he should be okay," I remarked, though I was feeling a fair bit of concern myself.
Thanks to our strengthened link, I heard the System notification he got before collapsing. But I don’t know what’s actually happening, so I’m more than a little worried.
Still, panicking won’t accomplish anything, so I should just stay calm and wait. And if several minutes or so pass without him waking up, well...then I’ll have no option but to panic.
