Sin System: Demonic Harem After Reincarnation-Chapter 244. Splennar’s Purification
"I wonder how long this parasite has been here."
"Release my son!" Averon raised his sword and a regal purple aura surrounded his body.
However, the High Paladin obviously didn’t think much of it. Instead, his eyes darted toward the Isenwings, toward a silent teenage boy who watched with an emotionless face. 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝒆𝒘𝙚𝓫𝙣𝙤𝒗𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢
"Sir Jacob, it is better to explain first before taking matters into your own hand." Zevik sent a mental message that not even the court mages could sense.
"Interesting..." High Paladin Jacob loosened his grip on Splennar’s neck and put him down. However, the chains binding the prince were still there.
"To think that the Isenwing Clan has been hiding such a prodigy... I’m afraid not even Bors knows about you."
"Let’s save the small talk for later, Your Grace." Zevik replied, flinging his palm on which a tremendous amount of mana began to condense.
"Are you really going to interfere with my judgement...?" Jacob frowned.
"I just don’t want his highness to be harmed." Zevik turned into a smoky form, disappearing silently.
While the two men exchanged telepathic messages, only a few seconds had passed. To the other people, Jacob seemed bothered by the surrounding knights.
As he dropped Splennar, the guards in the throne room heaved sighs. They wanted to avoid a confrontation if they could.
However, the third prince began screaming when Sir Jacob plunged his sword onto the floor and chanted a prayer.
"In the name of the God of Light, O’ Angel of Purity, grant me the strength to dispel the demonic intent that corrupts this innocent soul..."
A white holy circle appeared beneath Splennar who held his head. Hidden tattoos creeped on his face which made everyone gasp.
"His Highness..."
"This can’t be-"
While the royals and the officials watched keenly, black and white smoke condensed to form Zevik’s figure above the chandelier.
He wanted to stop the purification, but doing so would make the paladin suspicious of him as well. If it was Ivan in the place of this brat, he would’ve already fought Jacob.
But since his master hadn’t specifically asked to save the prince, there was no need to implicate himself and his clan.
"He isn’t that useful..." Zevik had already figured that out. Flashing back to Heath and the others, he acted like everyone else on the floor.
"Look! Those dark marks are leaving the prince’s body!"
Under Jacob’s direct purification, the seed of corruption in Splennar’s mind began to disintegrate. This process was painful and the prince felt as if his heart was being taken out.
Noticing his plight, Jacob’s gaze softened as he muttered, "Just a little more and you’ll be fine..."
The longer the seed stayed in someone’s mind, the more difficult it was to purify that corrupted soul.
Jake’s [Degeneration Halo] was a Unique grade skill. For 4th Circlers and above, it didn’t require much effort to undo the corruption.
And since Jacob was a 5th Circle High Paladin, his method helped Splennar regain control of his mind in about ten minutes.
As the last bits of dark dust left through his glabella, a focused beam of light fell on Splennar’s body. There seemed to be a vague, golden silhouette of a woman with eight wings on that beam.
Before anyone could tell what she looked like, the image softly disappeared, as if it was never there.
"I..." Splennar slowly stood up with a confused expression. Looking around, he seemed intimidated by the various gazes.
"What happened to me...?"
A while later, Jacob explained to everyone that the prince had been corrupted by a demonic entity. At that time, Splennar was asked various questions.
However, he seemed to have lost the memories of that time frame. The last thing he remembered was running around on a dungeon floor with a woman named Lovia.
...
"Help!"
"Lord Barry, the monsters have breached the inner walls!"
Alediff was the second largest city in Gaephia Province and fell under the territory of Count Barry Hiltson, who was currently leading hundreds of knights.
"Shields up!" Swinging his sword on top of a warhorse, the count shouted, his voice filled with tiredness and desperation.
Fighting off hordes upon hordes of dungeon creatures since yesterday, Barry was on the verge of collapse.
As a peak third circle warrior, he had the stamina to go on for two more days. However, the bloodshed and sheer ferocity of this invasion had taken a toll on his mind.
Seeing your own soldiers and citizens being eaten right in front of you wasn’t a feeling that could be put in mere words.
From behind the shield formation, he could hear the shouts of men and women from all over the city. It was like being in hell.
Orcs running amok, destroying everything in sight; Demonic hounds hunting the defenseless; Goblins breaking into homes and doing the unspeakable; Imps and harpies flying around, picking on those who ran - the whole city was like a playground for these monsters.
And somewhere in the middle of this chaos, there was a stolen altar emitting a devilish aura. The divine runes on it were tainted. Cracks ran through the large structure, which seemed to be plucked from the ground.
Tens of thousands of disembodied souls gathered around it. Thin, illusory strings connected them to a naked demon lord in the center.
"Annhh~ Mnnrrhh~!"
Multiple beautiful and sexy females wearing torn clothing surrounded Jake, who vigorously mated with a mature housewife.
Here, rough claps and delightful moans contrasted the background screaming. With love-filled eyes, the women pressed their assets on the large demon.
Jake’s palms were full of juicy melons which he squeezed while wildly swinging his hips back and forth.
The housewife’s half-naked body was pressed on the altar by beautiful girls crazy with lust. They spread her thick thighs for the demon lord, fingers making deep creases on the soft flesh which jiggled with every thrust.
Paht! Plahht! Pahht!
Such an absurd scene would make any normal human feel overwhelmed. People that ran to this place would stop and stare, as if they couldn’t believe their eyes.
However, being in the vicinity of so many tormented souls was deadly.
Usually, after mortals die, their souls descend to the underworld where they forget all past memories. Weaker souls directly disperse into the void but the stronger ones survive and are reborn.
Those with faith are allowed to their God’s Realm if they’ve truly not committed any grave sin. The exceptionally devout ones even regain their past memories. However, most believers aren’t pure and thus do not get this opportunity.
The souls that have committed too many sins draw the attraction of the Abyssal core which places them in one of the Seven Hells.
Though, compared to that endless suffering, to be used as fuels for a demon lord’s advancement was still better.
[Mortal Souls Collected (46,932/100,000)]
As Jake glanced at the growing number, he switched to another young woman.
"Soon..." He muttered, looking toward the cloudy sky where a flying dragon roared.
