Simulation Game: Crisis Management-Chapter 374 - 181: Major Cases (Part 3)
Gu Ji and Zhang Wenjun are in positions three and four, serving as observers and command leaders.
"You finally made it! The leaders from the National Security Bureau have been ambushed inside for a long time!"
At the park entrance, an elderly man in a gray jacket and an old-fashioned Zhongshan cap appeared, accompanied by several police officers and security guards. He was the village committee secretary of Yui Village.
"Team 5, evacuate the public! Guard the gorge entrance of buildings 3 and 4!"
"Yes!"
Liu Jianbin quickly issued orders along the way, dividing the special police team behind him into several small groups, guarding various points in the park, evacuating residents, and preventing criminals from escaping or taking hostages.
The Yu Village New Community has a total of 18 buildings, with the first nine being seven-story regular buildings and the remaining nine being mid-rise buildings with elevators, standing 18 stories tall, equipped with two elevators and a fire escape stairway leading to the underground parking lot.
Throughout the operation, both the special police and the armed police forces, whether in vehicles or personnel, deliberately avoided the sightlines of building 12’s windows.
Upon entering the mid-rear area of the community, the armed police and special forces immediately formed a triangular infiltration formation, sticking to the walls in batches or threading through the park’s woods.
Halfway along the path, two flashes suddenly appeared near the gazebo.
"Friendly forces."
"You finally arrived, thank you all for your hard work!"
A small number of individuals in loose civilian clothes, holding Type 92 handguns, suddenly emerged from around the gazebo. They were special agents from the Ningzhou City State Security Bureau and local Huaizhou Province.
Gu Ji’s eyes swiftly scanned the group, recognizing some familiar faces among them.
Amongst them were Shi Zhengmin, who participated in the previous operation capturing Shao Liang, and Zeng Dan, with whom he had previously traveled for leisure. Until a young woman with disheveled hair, wearing a black baseball cap, with a slightly bulky figure, and vigilant eyes like a small female predator ready to hunt, appeared.
It was Chen Zhiyu!
"Phew..."
Seeing that she was fine, Gu Ji felt relieved. It seemed that the lack of response earlier might have been due to the operation, with her phone temporarily confiscated.
Due to the presence of too many armed and special police on-site, Chen Zhiyu hadn’t noticed him and Gao Bo yet.
Just then, after the on-site action commander Liu Jianbin briefly exchanged intelligence with the National Security Bureau’s lead, an order came through the earpiece:
"According to surveillance and reports, the suspect might be in the high-rise section of unit 2. There are currently five residences where the occupants’ identities cannot be confirmed: 1401, 1509, 1702, 1703, 1802. The first and third armed police brigades, along with the 1st, 3rd, and 4th Special Task Forces, are to proceed through the fire exits to carry out search and capture operations on these five residences. The second armed police brigade and the 2nd task force are responsible for the parking lot, while the 5th task force handles the rooftop."
"This is the technical team. The elevator in Building 12 has been shut down, the building’s power can be cut off at any time, and signal jamming has been established."
"Alright, move out!!"
With a command, the armed police, special police, and national security forces immediately formed into two teams, charging into the entrance of the stairwell, the corridor in complete darkness except for the "escape route" marked by the green light.
The armed police officers were the first to push forward.
With a creaking sound, two armed police officers gently opened the fire escape door, and the group quickly moved in with their guns drawn, one after another.
The stairs of the resettlement building are not much to hold out hope for, narrow enough for just two and a half people to stand on.
Gu Ji noticed that the armed police were all moving with their backs to one side of the wall, all uniformly in a high-ready position with their guns, while the special police mostly held their guns in a lower-ready position. The former allows for a quicker response to enemies in narrow spaces when engaging from above but poses a risk of friendly fire, while the latter involves an upward movement of the gun, offering greater safety.
"We are responsible for the 15th floor!"
