Signing-In: The Lazy Moon Goddess-Chapter 717: Resolving Karmas (2)
Yue Xuexia teleported to the sky and watched the figure of Chen Huan who had bowed his head for her. When she was at her weakest and didn’t have any backing when it came to modern society, Chen Huan was one of the people who had supported her. Even though it was only thanks to the shares the system had given to her, the fact that Chen Huan didn’t side with the small clans and betrayed her during the invasion of the foreign cultivators was enough proof that this man wasn’t the kind of person who would push you down further at your lowest state.
Even though he only helped by secretly supporting some of her relatives under his property, it was enough for her to give him these rewards. It was thanks to him that some of her relatives didn’t suffer from lack of necessities as he didn’t fire them when they lost her protection from being out of reach. After all, a few of her relatives work at this mall and just by not firing them, they were able to continue living their life without much suffering from the changes in this world.
Then she looked at her phone and saw a clan’s name that didn’t help her family and even betrayed her just because she isn’t around made her lose her smile. Her eyes turned eerily cold as she looked down on the largest bank in this realm.
"Autumn Field Bank. Tian Clan, was it? I left most of my money in your care but when my people ask for your help you not only turned your backs at them but also caused them harm. Why am I not surprised that you’ve betrayed Old Qiu for the reason that your greed had no limits?"
"Those I owe must be repaid. If it’s a favor then I shall repay it hundred times, but those who owe me with blood shall be repaid with blood as well."
Yue Xuexia mumbles before she once again disappears. It was unknown where she had gone.

Meanwhile, at some detached old house in the countryside...
An old man who only had an old caretaker watching over him was spending his last days enjoying the warmth of sunlight early in the morning. Looking at his appearance, it was surprising that he is still alive at this moment. Seeing how much he is just bones and skin, one would think that he is a living undead.
It’s just that even though his body is dying, his will and determination is almost limitless. This old man is the former master of the Tian Clan, Tian Qiuji. He is now more than a hundred years old. The reason for his long lifespan is thanks to the longevity pill the Moon Goddess had auctioned in the Crimson Cloud Auction House. As one of the wealthiest men in Huaxia, he was able to purchase some of these pills which allowed him to live longer just like Chen Huan. The only difference between him and Chen Huan is that the former was betrayed by his family while Chen Huan supported him. That’s why his ending is different from Chen Huan.
"Old Master, the breakfast will be done soon. Would you like to eat inside or outside?" The old caretaker asked.
She was actually just an ordinary villager in this countryside. If not for the fact that the old man’s son is paying her a larger salary than working in the city, she wouldn’t accept being his caretaker at all. After all, it was well known that this old man’s family had thrown him here to die in old age alone.
Old Tian Qiuji answers, "Outside."
After hearing the answer, the caretaker had entered the house to make some soft food for the old man. She no longer cared about him as she focused on cooking. The only thing she loves to do in this job is cooking. The old man’s son who threw him here would give food allowance and the fridge is always full of food. Since the old man isn’t able to eat solid food, most of the food ended up in the stomachs of her family.
What she didn’t know is that after she had entered the house a guest had appeared and sat beside the old man who had his eyes closed enjoying the sunlight. Old Tian might be dying but there is no way he had become so old that he would lower his guard towards others’ presences especially not to someone who isn’t even trying to hide their presence.
"I wonder what this exalted guest wishes to meet this old man? I do not think this old man had anything on him that would attract our esteemed guest." Old Tian Qiuji said.
The old man was waiting for the other to answer and even heard the movements beside him. Only when he smelled the scent of the precious tea he had been hiding in his possession that he snapped open his eyes. He turned his head to look at the person beside him and was stunned that a word was barely made by his tongue.
"Something that attracts this Empress’s attention? I think this hundred old spiritual tea was enough to invite this Empress. What do you think, Grandpa Qiu?" The Moon Goddess said.
She offered the cup of tea to the elder with her usual gentle smile. Though stunned to the point of being speechless, Old Tian accepted the cup of tea and held it with both hands as if afraid that at this moment he was dreaming. He even thought that maybe he is already dead, to meet someone he can only dream of meeting in reality. He didn’t even mind his fingers getting scalded as the trembling of his fingers were out of his control.
The Moon Goddess only sighs when she sees the elder’s reaction and helps him wipe his fingers. Thankfully, she didn’t make the tea too hot for the elderly.
She speaks on her own and lets the old man listen.
"I heard that the reason your clan had betrayed you is because you keep on helping my family and relatives even after the foreign cultivators told you to stop supporting them. Why did you do such a thing Grandpa Qiu?" The Moon Goddess asked. "Maybe if you didn’t strongly support them, you wouldn’t have ended up in such a state? Do you regret it?"
"Nonsense!" The old man shouted. "I see you as my sworn granddaughter! Your family is my family. Why would I watch them suffer under the hands of outsiders!"
Cough. Cough.
Too much emotion was bad for the current state of the elder and Yue Xuexia can only send some of her energy to stabilize the old man. The answer of the old man made Yue Xuexia smile as she knew that this stern old man is a man of word and promise.
Hahaha~
"Truly a man of promise you are, Grandpa Qiu. Very well. As your granddaughter it is only right for me to give you everything that is meant for you. I will help you regain half of the youth you’ve lost. In short you will be in your fifties again with your hair returning back to black. This time you can’t decline. This is my gift to you as your granddaughter!"
With a wave of Yue Xuexia’s hand, Old Tian floats in the air before her. With another wave of her hand, a few high grade Longevity pills floated around the old man and controlled its effects to be easily absorbed by Old Tian’s body. The caretaker who had heard the commotion before had overheard the conversation between the old master and the young goddess who appeared out of nowhere. Adding the fact that she is witnessing a miracle before her eyes, the caretaker felt fear for the first time. This is the first time she had seen a divine make such a move.
Watching the old man slowly turn younger and younger until he becomes a man that looks like in his late forties stunned the caretaker speechless. It only took for a dying old man to regress to his youth and look like a handsome uncle in his late forties. When Tian Qiuji opened his eyes, he saw the familiar face of the Moon Goddess smiling at him and the fact that he can once again stand with his own two feet. Something he had lost less than a hundred years ago.
"Look at how you look. Do you like it, Grandpa Qiu?" Yue Xuexia asked as she was about to give the old man a compact mirror only to witness the old man to control the water at the nearby pond and create a water mirror allowing the old man to see his whole body.
Yue Xuexia was quite startled as if intrigue, she directly checked the old man’s root and unexpectedly, he is a rare dual water and wind spirit root possessor. Moreover, he even possessed a rare origin water physique in which almost all water in existence will listen to his command. He would be a great water god inheritor unfortunately, she didn’t possess any legacy of a water god. She have the Sea God’s legacy though, it’s unknown whether it would accept a mortal like Grandpa Qiu.
She mumbles, "It would be great if he was also compatible with the legacy of the Sea God. That way even if I leave this country it wouldn’t fall under the control of the other forces and Mumu will have an ally if some other gods wanted to take over this country."
