Chapter 996: Chapter 993: DEALING WITH CHIEF ZARA AGAIN 3

Raya and the other two didn’t feel like they were being lied to. In fact, the moment Diamond brought up a master, the three started believing the whole thing.

After all, without their masters, how could they even know that there was such another world that ordinary people weren’t aware of?

"My master has always been mysterious. Never left a name, and simply taught me to be independent and work hard. Rather than treating me, she made it that I learn hard, learn how to concoct until I can heal and treat myself."

Raya nodded, as she was reminded of her own master.

Don’t give people fish but teach them how to fish.

That method must have been pretty good. otherwise, a grandmaster might not have been born. Being motivated to work hard in order to live, Raya could already picture how Diamond when she wasn’t working was busy learning to concoct, until she finally made it.

"Anyway, I am very grateful to my master. She really helped me and made me achieve a lot of things, I never thought possible. I guess everything happens for a reason," she didn’t forget to praise her non-existent master, though she was truly grateful to the system and the deity who favored her so that she would become one of the blessed people on the planet.

With the background information Raya and other elders at the organization had been itching to get their hands on, they were finally at ease.

"Where is your master now?"

Diamond shrugged and helplessly respond, "she didn’t even leave her name. How can I possibly know?" looking quite dejected.

Raya sighed as she felt that it was a pity. For someone to teach such an excellent student, the master must be better than Diamond.

It would be great if they attract such a talent and let her serve the country as well. However, such masters couldn’t be forced. They do whatever they want. If you offend them, who knows what they might do to you?

Since the master couldn’t be found, Raya swiftly changed the topic.

"When you have time, drop by the organization. It will be our honor to show you around."

Diamond’s eyes beamed when she heard that. She had always been curious about that and now she had been invited, she wasn’t a fool to turn the invitation down.

"Don’t worry. I will definitely come. Just let me finish what I am doing," she enthusiastically responded.

Currently, her calendar could be said to be empty except for the birthdays of her family and friends. The rest, she hasn’t scheduled anything since she had to deal with Zara. Not knowing when that mission would be marked as complete, she had her timetable clear.

If the mission gets cleared in a few days, going to that organization wouldn’t mess up her plans.

"Then just inform me in advance. I will have everything ready for you."

"Great. I will be looking forward to that."

The conversation went well, and after padding their bellies with delicious food. Diamond finally took out the pills she promised Raya.

With a wave of her hand, several jade bottles appeared, and Raya was no longer as stunned and surprised like the first time.

"Here is everything that you want. And like previously, they all labeled. I also added some bonus body strengthening pills. Consider them my gift to the hardworking soldiers protecting our motherland," Diamond generously said to Raya, as she pointed at the several bottles she had added on top of the order.

Raya felt grateful at Diamond’s generosity. She was like that every time, and those pills were indeed helpful to them.

It wasn’t just the organization but the country’s military would benefit from such as well.

"Thank you very much. I thank you on behalf of the organization."

Diamond nonchalantly waved her hand, a beaming smile on her face as she responded, "Just doing my duty."

And that declaration made Raya, who serves her country with dedication feel happy, and so were the other team leaders.

With the pills handed over and checked, the meal finally came to an end.

Diamond didn’t linger for long at the villa. Once everything was settled, and while waiting for good news from Raya and the organization, she drove away under the envious gaze of the many.

"What did you think about her?" Raya asked as she watched the car disappearing from view.

"I couldn’t sense any power or energy coming from her. She looks like an ordinary person."

"She looks that way, but doesn’t those old monsters seem that way as well?"

"I think that she has mastered a technique that can hide her cultivation."

"Are you even sure that she is a martial artist? What if she is only talented in the alchemy department?" 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝔀𝓮𝒃𝙣𝓸𝒗𝒆𝒍.𝙘𝒐𝒎

"Heh, does it look that way to you? No sane person can flaunt such wealth and move around with a small number of bodyguards without a trump card. I do believe that she is like a treasure trove. We will get to see more of what she has, over time. Let us be patient."

Raya listened as her men bickered and became thoughtful as well.

Diamond had no idea about what was happening after she left.

It was considerably late, and wasn’t planning on returning to the manor.

In fact, she planned on checking her penthouse and stay there until auction day.

Now that she was in the capital, and her business with Raya was settled. Visiting some friends and meeting her boys was on the agenda.

"So, here is to mothers near or far,

Whose endless giving knows no cease.."

On the way, her phone started ringing, and she answered swiftly, connecting the call to the car’s Bluetooth.

[Babe, where are you?]

She smilingly rolled her eyes the moment she heard that and answered, "on my way. You miss me already?"

[I always miss you.]

She scoffed and the other laughed heartily before adding, [lets meet for dinner. Do you want to hang out at the hotel with us?]

A chuckle escaped her lips at hearing that invitation.

"How about you come over to my place? I will cook and we will dine together. How about that?" she counter-suggested.

There was that saying of getting a man’s heart though his stomach. It’s been ages since she cooked a meal for them. Why not dazzle them with her cooking again and let them bear to mind the kind of woman they would have if they get together with her?

[That will be great. Send me the location, and will drop there. What should we bring?]

"Anything you want," she teasingly answered, and the other party played along.

The call didn’t last long, and after it ended, Diamond had a new destination before she even arrives home.

"Darling, take me to the nearby supermarket closer to the penthouse," she instructed Andrea, and a new map appeared on the screen monitor, which Diamond faithfully followed.

The supermarket was ten minutes away from the complex. It was a busy place, but Diamond could tell the caliber of the customers with a glance.

The supermarket was very expensive, selling a lot of organic produce, which most rich people love. The reason why she visited there was to buy some condiments, since she didn’t have those in her space.

As for fresh produce, she prefers hers to any other farm produce sold anywhere else.

After getting what she wanted, she drove to the place she hasn’t been in months.

The moment, she scanned her card, the management received notification of their long-standing resident who was barely seen, and the news traveled fast in the groups.

Diamond didn’t park out front this time but drove to the basement parking where her spot was. With the Dentley in Frin City, her parking slot was empty and hopefully no one was bold to take what wasn’t theirs.

Holding on to such hope, she sighed with relief upon seeing her parking lot, unclaimed and free to use. After parking smoothly, the Valkyrie, she alighted from the car, and took out the plastic bag with the items she purchased earlier and headed for the elevator.

Before reaching the elevator, the doors opened and someone exited. She didn’t recognize this resident, since she barely lived there.

The two merely exchanged greetings before going their separate ways.

With the elevator going all the way to the ninety something floor, it was normal for it to stop several times as people either entered or exited. She maintained a smile as she exchanged greetings with these people and barely extended the conversation. She didn’t know them and it was unnecessary to do anything further.

After arriving at her floor, she walked in the familiar and yet unfamiliar corridor, wondering to herself if Vivian was at home.

Thinking about her, she took out her phone and called as she approached the door.

After several rings, the call was answered and Diamond stood in front of her door, as Andrea unlocked the door.

[Diamond, how are you?] came the enthusiastic greeting.

A chuckle escaped her lips as she exchanged greetings with Vivian, and the two of them chatted briefly exchanging pleasantries, before Diamond finally asked, "are you at home?"

[Nope. Wait a minute. Are you there right now?]

"Yes, I just arrived."

[Girl, why didn’t you tell me? I am currently not in the city. Will be back in several days,] Vivian aggrievedly responded, her tone filled with blame and Diamond scratched her nose guiltily.

She didn’t tell these friends in advance of her arrival, since she didn’t want her mission to be affected. If they schedule an appointment with her and yet she wanted to deal with Zara, what would she do?

"I guess that I will see you when you return," what more could she say?

The two chatted for a while before ending the call.

Diamond stepped into the house she hasn’t been in ages, and smiled with relief upon seeing how squeaky clean it was.

With the cleaning robots doing their jobs faithfully and dutifully. What more could she ask for?
