Sign In To The Body Of Chaos At The Start-Chapter 65: Leisure Time in Dragon City!
Chapter 65: Leisure Time in Dragon City!
Dragon City was the closest City to the Dragon Isles, under the direct control of the Dragon Clan, and thus Damon needed to pass through Dragon City to get to his initial destination.
The City could be called a massive tourist attraction. This was due to the fact that the entire City was situated on a gigantic island, which allowed tourists to see and experience the beautiful clear beaches and incredible sight-seeing nearby.
The City could be called a tourist metropolis, as it had every tourist attraction known to man, from the aforementioned beaches, to daily plays, cinemas, a vast array of restaurants, gladiator arenas and many more.
Due to the fact Dragon City was located directly next to the Dragon Isles, it was a strategic location that allowed for the Dragon Clan to exert their influence on the world without using their combat power.
As Damon exited the Mana Train and entered the city, he was greeted by a diverse and vibrant atmosphere. The air in the City was incredibly pure, with limited contaminated Mana, and just inhaling it could improve the health of Mortal Citizens.
The cities architecture bore inspiration from Humans and Elven architectural styles, with a combination of towering buildings and beautiful beach-style houses alongside a nature filled environment filled with tall graceful trees, grass, beautiful flowers and more. Magnificent fountains were dotted at key points to improve the atmosphere of the City
Colorful banners and flags representing various Draconic Clans adorned various buildings, revealing the immense pride the Dragon Clans had in their people. Persons who were apart of these clans held the insignia on their clothing, wearing them with pride and gaining immense respect of the people.
The central building of Dragon City was adorned by the Flandre Clan’s Banner, a viscous Dragon shooting flames into a City! It was a gigantic castle-esque building surrounded by various protective walls.
This was the Flandre Castle, and it was also where the Mana Teleportation Portal to the Dragon Isles was located.
Flandre Castle stood as a magnificent testament to the ancient, deep, and powerful heritage of the Dragon race. It was build using the Most Pure Mana Crystals and Mythril, making it the most expensive and durable singular building in the entire world, a sign of the Dragon Clan’s immense strength.
Its architecture was a mesmerizing fusion of Dragon Magic and craftsmanship.
The streets were busy with various races going about their days, from Humans, Elves, Demons and even Demi-Dragons, who were Half-Dragons bred with another race.
Venders were everywhere, selling street food and little artifacts, usually based around Dragons. The Guards in the City were all Dragons, in their Humanoid Forms, ensuring the City’s safety.
From what Damon had learned from the Dragon City traveller’s guide, the Mana Teleportation Portal to the Dragon Isles would open tomorrow morning, so he had a bit of time to kill off before he needed to leave the City.
Since he needed to spend the night, Damon decided to book an Inn. The Inn he booked was a rather well-known High Class establishment in Dragon City known for it’s amazing service, privacy and hospitality.
The room he booked was the most luxurious he could get. Beautiful paintings lined up the walls and a cool breeze consistently swept in through the open windows. There were multiple high-tech facilities in the room. Damon dropped off all his things and locked the door, deciding to go out and explore the city.
As Damon left the Inn and walked around, the tantalizing aroma of food filled the air. Dragon City was known for its delicious food found in both restaurants, and street stalls, and the smell had certainly not disappointed.
Damon went outside to try the seafood in the market street. It was super crowded and the sidewalks were full of street food stalls. It was a very lively city.
He ended up buying some Bake with Grilled Shark, sitting at a nearby bench to chow down and enjoy himself. The Bake was perfectly made, soft and warm with a delicious taste, whilst the Grilled Shark was crunchy yet delicious, boneless as well which increased Damon’s enjoyment.
"Room for one more on that bench hottie?" A shy, cute voice echoed into Damon’s ear, pulling him out of his concentration as he was eating the meal. Damon looked up and was a bit surprised at who he saw.
It was Artemis, the Future Divine Huntress of the DemiHumans. Damon had met her during his time at the Academy, but due to the conspiracy, he didn’t have a chance to improve his relations with her.
Currently, Artemis still looked more cute than sexy, as her bloodline wasn’t full awakened. She was still beautiful, her colourful demonic-fox tails cutely hung behind her as she adorably looked towards Damon with ’puppy-dog eyes.’
"Of course, what are you doing here Artemis?" Damon asked, from what he knew, most students would be staying with their families or back in the dorms training, so he was a little surprised to see her in Dragon City, especially with how precious she is to the DemiHuman Clan.
[ ARTEMIS POV ]
Meanwhile, Artemis was looking at Damon with a cute glint in her eyes. She sat next to him, her beautiful hair brushing against Damon’s skin.
What Damon didn’t know about Artemis was the fact that as the Future Divine Huntress of the DemiHumans, she was born with many unique and useful abilities. One of them was Spirit Sight. This ability allowed Artemis to see the Lesser Spirits who were too weak to inhabit the Spirit World and thus roamed around Austonia.
These Lesser Spirits couldn’t engage in Combat or interact with the world around them, but Lesser Spirits could see through a being’s Heart and Trustworthiness at their core. Lesser Spirits would surround and play around Trustworthy and good-natured people and avoid those who weren’t.
Due to this, Artemis was able to skillfully avoid those who held bad intentions towards her and surround herself with those deemed good people. fгeewёbnoѵel_cσm
However, when she met Damon for the first time at school when he was conversing with Elanore, she was shocked. This was because the Lesser Spirits had completely swarmed the Demon like a tidal wave and clung to him like he was long lost family, dancing happily around him, something they had never done not even for the most trustworthy persons like her Mother.
From what she knew, although Demon’s weren’t pure evil persons and there definitely were many good-natured Demons, they tended to be much more bloodthirsty and aggressive than other races, traits that usually the Lesser Spirits avoided.
Yet they flocked around Damon like he was their god. So Artemis naturally believed Damon was trustworthy. Ever since that day, she had been investigating more about the Demon, and he became much more attractive in her eyes.
Tall, Sexy, Rich, with an immensely powerful and influential family, never mind the fact he was arguably the most talented person of the generation and he was generous. The Celestial Mist Earrings that Damon had given her had massively increased her overall training speed and bloodline integration. The more she learned about him, the more attracted Artemis became, which was only increased as she knew the Lesser Spirits also loved Damon.
Thus, instead of going back to her family, Artemis secretly ditched her guards and followed Damon all the way to Dragon City.
[ NORMAL POV ]
"I decided to take a vacation away from all my Family and stuff, what about you?" Artemis said, turning her head to Damon next to her, making their noses almost touch each other. Both froze at the spot until the girl finally came out of it and jumped back, the tip of her adorable fox-ears dyed red from embarrassment, and hung her head down.
’Damn, she is cute!’ Damon thought, wanting to touch them but deciding to hold back.
"I’ll be visiting the Dragon Isles tomorrow, so I’m chilling here tonight." Damon responded. He had a rather tight schedule, only around 13 days to visit the Dragon Clan, and then rescue the Astronomanian Princess.
"Ohh, can I come with you? I’ve always wanted to visit but my parents always said no." Artemis asked, her ears cutely dropping as she looked towards Damon.
Usually, if it was someone irrelevant, he would say know, but there would be very few chances to get Artemis with him for an extended period of time by herself, and since Damon wanted to build nice relations with her, this would be the perfect opportunity.
"Yeah sure." He responded.
"GREAT!" Artemis said, hopping up in excitement, "I’ll meet you tomorrow at the Mana Teleportation Portal, I can’t wait. And oh, here’s this, it’s a specialty drink from the Fox Clan to pair with your meal."
Artemis said, handing Damon a bottle of a purple-ish drink, before hopping out of the chair, "I need to finish up some things, see you tomorrow!!" She said before excitedly skipping off.
Damon meanwhile, chuckling and drank the drink, savouring its delicious taste as he finished his food and moved on, continuing to explore the City as he prepared for his tip the next morning.
